Shell calling for SRD

Hello House,
Let's make this thread active all the time and keep sharing info. The basic fact is that all of us that have not received rejection mails were sucessful at SRD but there is currently no space for us to occupy. So, HR is currently and aggressively looking for space for us. What we need to do is to keep praying to God Almighty, the I am that I am for His favour. Enjoy ur weekend!

Yeah.what Otika said is true,lnfact some guys started dec. last year while others startd nov.&even last yr some recievrd medical invite b4 others though cos of no sitp this yr the gap is longer,hope this will refresh our weekeends.

Thats the spirit, let us all be positive, nothng is impossible who knows we may even get other offers that are far better than shell. I know someone who is turning it down to go for her masters. I know people are being called based on vancancies available so just wait, the call may come when u least expect it. Takia

@babestell. How are uyou preparing for your resumption? it is great to hear that they are calling based on vacancies available. What i don't know is that before they carried out this recruitment exercise they must have had space for those they want to employ. Let us believe that that is what is keeping them. Nevertheless, let us keep hope alive.

Hello Guys;

I called Johnson today. He said updates shall only be given via mail so i sent him a mail, He replied telling me to confirm the email address i used while registering. i have done that, Am expecting his reply. Maybe you all awaiting a reply can send a mail and hopefully we shall all get a positive, definite reply....Ciao friends

I learnt that Shell sent some more rejection mails on Friday (14/10/2011). I know of some people that did their SRD on the 10th of August that got reject mails on Friday. Lets keep sharing info pls. The house is becoming too quite. It is also very possible that more medical invitations would fly soon since they are sending rejection mails. Let us keep praying for God's favour and protection. All the best guys!

Try searching using "shell calling for test" scroll down and click on "srd invitation" patiently go thru it and u will see all that happened last yr.

Yes ooo. That is our only source of hope now since Shell has decided to remain silent. The waiting is killing!

Resumption date for the first batch (hopefully) of intakes is drawing steadily near! Any new information as to where this exercise is headed house??

Shell no try at all,for GOD sake how can you keep pple for all this months wtout a word while their mates are resuming nxt week.Its highly unfair.

common guys... Shell is not the end of life. i moved on and got a good job in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.. So spread your tentacles and reduce the High B.P. They are promoting some staffs on 1st november so they can take in the new guys. if your profile stays with them till d next recruitment which should be march and there is no space for u..... they will almost certainly dump u for new recruits. That is from a good source. but above all PRAY INCESSANTLY. God knows all.

Hey house, Got a mail from Shell HR yesterday in response to an enquiry i sent earlier and it simply says that the process is still ongoing and they would not hesitate to communicate when there is an update. God is in control!!!!

House, I had to join the forum after reading through some of the postings, what is going on with SHELL recruitment is even surprising to most SHELL staff, but we must keep our hopes alive for the "HEAVENS AND THE EARTH AND ALL THAT IS IN IT BELONGS TO THE LORD" and not to SHELL RECRUITERS; I was told by one of those called (from assessed internship) that all of them are in Port Harcourt and nobody was sent to Warri, I was in Warri before as mine is from assessed internship and a member in my team told me that there will be movements of some teams away from their office blocks in Warri soon, could it probably be the reason why there was no posting to Warri, will there still be another invitations for those that will be working in Warri, who knows. if we can check within ourselves to know where we fit in to work, and if all is in warri and not port harcourt, then, that could answer my previous questions. I am impressed with the way information are shared and I encourage we should keep it up, the will of God MUST be done, Amen.

@otika: "Expect the worst, Hope for the best"....This is a statement that has worked very well for me all thru the challenging part life. I would advise you adopt the same. Because I do expect the "worst" to happen, that's why I don't easily get disappointed by people or things when they don't appear as expected. However, I always hope for the "best"; so when that happens, I give all thanks and glory to God.
Shell is not the end of the world. Shell, Mobil, etc even Cadbury may someday fail, but ONLY GOD CAN NEVER fail. So, it is to him only you should direct your "humble cry"...and he will not pass you by.

I like ur phylosophy of life, Philipians 1 vs 6 says, 'for this is the confidence that I have concerning this very SHELL JOB that HE WHO has begun this good work in me will do it until the time of JESUS' and this remains my confidence. they will call us when GOD want them to call us.

I like how you put it! You mean every body that has not receive regret after the SRD uptill date is waiting for medicals? or you mean people that have received medical invitation and waiting for the date?

In my case, I am waiting for invite to medicals hopefully!

I am awaiting medicals as well. The big question begging for an answer is why will some people resume while there are others who are awaiting medical invitation? I hope Shell is not silently telling us that they are through with this year's recruitment? Well, let's continue to hope and pray.
