They are working on applications received within the specified cut-off date (16th October). Though there is no time line to this, all shortlisted applicants will be contacted as soon as the first selection stage is completed. In the past, this happens around January/February of the next year.

I pray we will all be short-listed. But how do they contact? For the interview, I guess it will be an Oral discussion of your statement to support your application. Be eloquent, smart and brief. But it all boils down to GOD. Have faith

I just got a reply to the mail I sent to British Council Nigeria. They said the invitations for interview might start late January or February. Any info on the nature of the interview?

@queen petra...... Its already too late to apply, because the deadline for this particular scholarship is 16th October, 2009. But you can watch out for next application around July 2010.

We are at the selection stage of the Chevening Scholarship awards for 2010/11 and no date has been fixed for either contacting successful applicants or for the interview itself. This is however, planned tentatively for February 2010; please note that only successful applicants will be contacted.

Guys...every interview for scholarship openings are always based on your research proposal (assuming its for a research masters) or your statement of purpose. Keep an open mind but know what you wanna study and make sure you also know why you wanna study that and how your personal developmental plans will extend and rub off on the development of Nigeria.
