Schlumberger Calling 4 Aptitude Test / Interview

The pay is better of field engineers,but u get to work more and spend more time on the rig,but for field specialist...sorry u av to manage what I wrote above.Note that the field enginee's pay is not too fa fom dat of field specialist but d allowances a far far better.....pls dis is not to discourage anybody ooooo,but its just an eye opener for those that will be given a contract that they shuld look very vey well and think of their future b4 signing or accepting the Job with geosevices,but other schlumbeger segments are better in terms of pay but u will definitely av to work ur out for dem like geoservices.thanks

@ mikkyboy, U mean field specialist earn between 70-130? What about other allowances and what is the working hours like?

@jukebox,that amount is the salary plus allowances ooooooooo(70 - 130k),and abt woking hours its typically a 12hrs shift for four weeks then 2 weeks off, but in actual fact u can work up to 4 weeks and get 3 days off and u are called back to the rig.......so it depends on the pressure of jobs on hand.

Guys,i just want to confirm.a friend said slb considers hnd distinction candidates more n are given more preference with respect to invitation for interview.is it true?has any hnd upper credit ever bin invited for interview?

hw does one get to be invitd 4 slb tests or interviews? Is it by applyin 4 d positions of field engineer or field specialist on their students/graduate career page or is there any other addres 4 updating ones profile? An address wil help. Are there preferences 4 class/grade of degree (B.SC OR HND)? I mean, i applied since march for field engineer and ve nt heard anything 4rm them. Tanx

slb doesnt consider grade at invitation for test or interview but dey do prefer distinction when it comes to final job offer. Secondly, if u hold hnd, u are to apply for field specialist and if u hold a B.Eng u are to apply for field engineers position thru d appropriate section under students and recent graduate.

Please, does anyone know if slb have a fixed cutoff for their test and do they send the score of the test to candidates?

Som sucessful ones dat rot yestaday shud b at alert to reciv invite mail for interview today.while d remainin sucessful ones will have to wait for som few weeks(at most 1month).all dis depends on d work department slb needs immidiately n leta.goodluck guys.

Guys,i was told dat som guys hav bin contacted for interview.thou one of d facilitator of d test told me dat som will b contacted in 24hrs dependin on dia demand while som afta som few weeks.so far,an elect engineering guy with Hnd who applied for maintenance technician said he was contacted for interview.he wrote d 1pm batch.so i bliv i ansad all questions.wish d odas luck

@ surj and any other person shedule for interview its not going to be easy, but God is your strenght,

1st u have to make research on the company,things like company values,and history, them normal interview drills like, why u want to join us, tell me about your self and blablabla..

most importantly research on your final year project topic, because u will be asked to defend it , u will be given a board and pen and asked to use diagram in your illustration, also research on the job you are applying for.
Them u will be given group work with others shedule for interview with you., very important , try and participate,because they will want to know about the effort you inputed..And what ever you do try and be confident, and smile and and say thank you.Also watch out for der physcologist, he will try to make you angry with his comment, but try and be relax and smile if possible...Wish you guys all d best....God bless

Hello,If you know any graduate of Engineering or Geology/Geosciences in PH with a 2'1 and above or 2'2 with Masters, ask them to go to Valley View Hotels, Rumuobiakani Estate, PH on sat 29/Mar/2014 for a Schlumberger test. Time is 8am.Scope of test is Mechanical reasoning, Physics, Electricity, Maths, Psychometry and Logical reasoning. To last for 40mins.Pls you need to apply online.
