@ugofine, Please aw did u apply. I applied sometime last year and up to this moment, I have not been contacted for test. Did u convert ur GP score on the scale of 9. I did not convert my GP score on the scale of 9 but intead graded it on the usual scale of 5. I want to quickly edit my profile. Please respond.
Please somebody, anybody help o! I just got invitation for Schlumberger's interview for field engineering position after test on february 8 at Elion Hotel. Interview will be at Raddision Blu Hotel. Among their requirements when coming for interview is National Service Certificate, which I don't have yet and wont have until some months' time.
How does this affect my chances? How can I explain myself? does anyone have an experience like this? who can help me on what to do?

just go there wit or without nysc or not.they are probably of dat aware already...and d interview isnt much sha...just be sure abt ur CV and be ready to back it up wit practical experiences... and above be confident and dont be caught trying to impressing them...Best of luck,guys!

The GP scale I used is the Nigerian scale. The 5 scale. please don't get it twisted, nobody wants you to convert your GP to a 9.0 scale. The usual thing is to put it value/max (e.g. 4.58/5.00). This is how you will enter it on the day of aptitude test. If you don't get the chance to enter it this way of their site, then just enter your raw score, e.g. 4.58. Forget about any lame conversion!Quote:

guys pls o. im on their site nw. 4dos that were cald 4 test pls how did u deal wit filing EXPECTED GPA (mind u i hv already graduated) or is it PERCENTAGE. N 4 EXP GPA it said 0.00 to 9.00 beside the box to b filled. n wat to fil for full driving lisenz yes or no. i believe these things matter. SOMEBODY HELP
Fill in your Acquired GPA e.g 3.99. If you have a driving licence answer "yes" If not answer "No".

btw guys! I hav neva heard of a GPA scale of 9.0! Wetin b dat. d Americans use a 4.0 scale. Just put ur normal GPA, afterall, d recruiter dat wld review ur applicatn is Nigerian or else wld b used 2 d Nigerian pattern.

@ sauer, the D-Day has come. There is no need to panic. Even though it's normal to be a bit nervous, you must not let your interviewers notice your nervousness. Be confident, you can do it.The house is solidly behind you.We do pray on your behalf and don't 4get 2 relay your experience when you 're back. ONE LOVE!!!

Just to provide further info: there were only 16 people at the interview. There is a very good chance a number of people will still be called. So if you performed well on the test, you can look forward to receiving an invitation. If not now, am pretty sure later. Especially HND guys!
And yes, 123url, they have started calling Bsc guys/girls.
If anyone is going for the interview, I'd be more than glad to share through PM details he/she should look forward to.

I wrote slb last year feb in lagos and has since waited for any message (be it u passed or u failed). Some were called not long after for interview; however, I believe I did well in the test. Who knows weda slb gets back to candidate on the status of the test written or not? Please kindly advice on what to do.

@ geeer: nope, they dont. If i were u, i will try again. It seem they usually pick 8 guys per field of study i.e mech, elect, chem, etc.

@ Sauer, good 2kno u did ur best @ d interview. My earnest prayer remains 'dat d good Lord crown ur efforts wit success'. I wish 4 som enlightenment on d general procedure adopted 4 d interview and what d 5mins presentation entails. Is it a technical presentation in one's area of specialisation or just a mere presentation of a topic frm any field of endeavour meant 2 assess d candidate's presentation skills. dat U avnt being contacted means dat U passed & wld b called for d interview, but it may be next batch, or next year, becos some pple dat wrote in Oct 2010 havnt bin called for d interview yet!
Also, it appears d recruiters try very much to mix up pple frm different batches, to have a good mix, and then positions may not always be open for d total no of pple they have on d waiting list!
So, keep hope alive!
