I think the original post for this thread has been removed by the admin.
@ All:
Ok. Things are getting clearer now.I think the original intent of this post is misconstrued. The use of my tone and smileys arent received.Whatever i said is of a personal view and it was based on the limited information i had at that time. Let me clarify some issues.
1. IPS is a world class institute aimed at encouraging indigenous manpower. I never try to undermine them.
2. I didint take a moment to think of the confidentiality of the letter. Immediately I saw it very early that morning i felt seeking opinion from a forum like this was ok. If i didnt copy it, people would have said it wasnt real.I have nobody in the current session but calling IPS was an option i considered.
3. Secondly I re-read again the use of my tone and i found out it was untoward. Whatever i say was of a personal view and it was based on the contents of the letter.
4. About the tuition, initially i was baffled to read that i am supposed to make effort in getting a sponsor. But i was of the view that they could have done better in making it a full one.I thinks its gonna be a nice one if maybe by next year, prospective students would just have to pay only the acceptance and accomodation. Before this posting, saying this is open knowledge in this forum (At least those people that are aware of IPS).
5. When i made mention of the laptop, i tried to put myself in a situation if i didnt have any. Getting one was going to add to the bills. And for now, i cant afford that.
6. What i said of the guarantor at least should be understood, although i have no intention of absconding during the programme. The calibre is just too much and figuring out one could make me go to my LG secretariat.
7. I used Amenam Kponom to generate a bit of humour because of its name.
8. Rejecting this offer isnt an option for me. Maybe i have been doing a lot of thinking regarding funding.
I hope this assuage any ill-feeling against me.
Pls can we stop the exchange of words?
