Quality Control Manager Urgently Needed

Our client, a fast growing manufacturing company located in Lagos, seeks the services of a quality control manager with the following:

Qualification: A first degree preferably within the social sciences, an MBA or other post graduate qualifications would provide a strong advantage.
At least 10 years experience within the printing industry, 6 years of which must involve quality control

Responsibilities:
· Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
· Setting Quality Assurance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved
· Maintaining business profitability and budgetary control issues
· Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers and comparing with customer requirement
· Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external supplier
· Considering the application of environmental and health and safety standard
· Agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply
· Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
· Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
· Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training
· Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary
· Supervising technical staff in carrying out tests and checks if necessary
· Writing technical and management system report
· Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures

Candidate must be able to manage a team of 4 in a production unit
Salary Range: N1.8 - N 2-1 million Per Annum
