Surrey is a nice school in scotland. Scotland is a place to be. You won't regret it!

Unfortunately, Wariso can't provide u sponsorship letter until induction. PTDF is probably waiting for enough scholars to get their CAS (and ATAS) before the induction. But if you do a mail to the accomodation office, they would listen to u. They know Wariso and PTDF too well.
@phoneline, Alice..., sallymos, etc
Interesting progression of events. Thanks for keeping this thread going; it's been quite informative.
@ Windows7, Some issues should not be left to email communication for resolution. Call, Call, Call!
Go to Manchester's website and find a telephone number for the appropriate admissions team and talk to someone there, ok?
If the person can't assist, ask him/her to refer you to someone else.
If need be, call the Course coordinator!
If there's no help there as well, call their International office and inform them that you are a PTDF scholar...They know us...
Please let's know the outcome of the call(s). Be calm and rational; dont panic, alright?
Cheers.
@ Phoneline: I don't think Surrey is in Scotland, aye?
From what I do know, it's in Northeast England and has the highest cost of living in the UK, apart from London;
It also has the most number of UK millionaires....
@Fahimself, what course did you apply for?
sorry, south east England
Dear Fellow Scholars,
Deos anyone has idea of how much PTDF pay scholars during der study, I will apprecaie if anyone has the idea and share with us here on dis forum
Hi guys,wishing you all success in your endeavours.Could anyone put me thru? how do a become a scholar,do you have an idea when 2013/2014 applications going to be out? i will be very greatful.
@Aliceinwonderland, the course applied for is Msc Process Systems Engineer. Your thoughts will be highly appreciated.
@Olumighty147,I heard the amount varies depending on the city/area you are in.
Anyone gotten London accommodation (for Imperial) yet?
I am officially OVERWHELMED.
The prices I have seen so far are utterly preposterous (from 225 pounds per week all the way to 310 pounds per week)!
I wonder if there's a cap/limit on accommodation prices from PTDF....
Imperial has no school-owned Postgrad accommodation but recommends Gradpad which requires you to first pay 500 pounds deposit then the full year's rent before school resumes....
Any one looking for Imperial accommodation as well?
Cheers y'all
@fahimself, what I can say about University of Surrey:
1. It's ranked among top 20 Unis in the UK.
2. Really good for ECM: Electrical, Chemical & Mech Engineering courses
3. Vibrant International community
4. Surrey is close to London (I think abt 45 mins or so; some people who work in London actually stay in Surrey) so i believe living conditions (and of course cost) should be higher.
5. Consequent from 3) above, more opportunities/ after school prospects.....(I'm not too sure abt this sha)
Is Surrey the only school you've applied to?
@Fahimself
You might want to compare the course modules from both schools. Find out which best suits your desired learning outcome. Luck!
@aliceinwonderland, thanks for your advice. I actually called a contact line I saw on the website at the postgraduate section of the faculty that offers the course this morning. The lady on the line told me the coordinator was on leave, and would be resuming 25th (i.e next monday). She said i shouldn't worry about the deadline, that d coordinator would continue my admission process ASA she resumes.
One Love.
@Aliceinwonderland, Thanks alot. I have an unconditional offer from Surrey and hopefully I'd be getting same from Cranfield shortly. These are the only two schools I applied to.
@Stfrest, thanks for your input
@eeguru
The ATAS clearance is not issued by the university. ATAS is designed to check the spread of technology which could be used for weapons development. Check your offer letter for the JACS code; this tells if the ATAS clearance is required for your course.
go to www.fco.gov.uk/atas/ for more info.
Regarding your CAS number, the intended sponsor (PTDF) must always be quoted where necessary. That'll save you loads of grief. Alternatively, simply call the admissions office of your school for clarification.
windows 7.,I av an unconditional offer with Manchester fr MEAM.As per ur transcript issue, send a scan copy to yulia Jenson.shez on leave but resumes on d 25th of June.She'l reply wen shez back.cheerz n Godspeed.ps: quote ur student ID
@eeguru, I don't really know about Sheffield but like someone else said, compare the course modules with your personal goals and objectives.
Also, go to this link and read what students have to say about the school; Bear in mind however, that these reviews are highly subjective.

Alice thnx for the assistance, am soo grateful. @Khaleefa, wats d source of your info? I think its too early for the induction cos most of the MSc programmes are starting in September, which is like two months away. I just hope we would be given ample notice before the start date of d induction to enable those of us who are workers to also notify our employers about our resignation.

I applied to Univ. Of Salford, Manchester to study MSc. Health, Safety and Environment and i have sent d mail as well as the link address informing them that PTDF would be responsible for the payment of my tuition nd accommodation fees but they are still asking for an official letter. My admission status is still conditional offer nd no CAS number yet. Please, who can advice me on what to do next?
I will also like to know when the induction programme would be and what nd what documents to take along. Thank you. 1 love.

ATTN ALL:
Pls I just got an IV for a CBT test at RSUST ICT Centre following my application for the NDDC postgraduate scholarship.
I believe this was the same venue that was used for the PTDF test; So I'm appealing to all PTDF scholars & other PTDF test takers to contact me with any useful information wrt the test especially on the GENERAL SECTION QUESTIONS.
[email protected]
Thanks.
