With due respect global moderator, are you assuming they repeat the same questions everytime? If they do they'll change them , otherwise there is no harm in helping people with likely questions. They cannot penalise anybody in the house. They cannot monitor members and this is not the only site with caring forum. In my own opinion, I don't see any harm. They have a lot on their head to bother about whether their questions are in circulation or not. It should be clear that they know without being told that their questions are in circulation and they couldn't help it because they are helpless. Like you said sir, they are no fools THEY KNOW ALREADY. Thanks so much for the good work.

In order words those that have these question papers should keep it and distribute it amongst friends there by giving them undue advantage over others in the house.....................or better still, he should leave the house in darkness over the likely questions that may come out.........Don't be selfish.......these question papers are in circulation as e-diamond has said....it would be good for every1 to equally have a copy of that which an elite few have........................well this is my opinion anyway............cheers

Before we get ahead of our selves global moderator was only trying to explain things to people... Most of these companies dont give out their questions because they might possibly repeat it. Does any one know why the Chevron Financial Test was cancelled? Lets think again. They are all watching us... So lets be careful.

so the solution is not to post it so that those who are privilege to have it would use it and the rest would have to write without it or better still they should post some phone number and request for a fee..............the Oil Companies can as well change their questions yearly, after all it wouldn't cost them much..............but to keep the questions for only a few while the majority "others" battle with the unknown is just selfish ...........for me it is best we all have knowledge of the questions or no one has at all...........that would provide an equal "playing field" for all....................but of course that is in a society where "things work".

What Sammie77 meant was rather than post the questions here, it's better to forward it to the e-mail of whoever requests for it. At least people are used to dropping their e-mail ads here for stuffs like that to be sent to them.
If you think these people (Potential Employers) do not take things like that seriously, then you need to have a rethink. You can ask the likes of Eznira & Jack_Baur (who are members of these forum) what they encountered in the hands of their employers (so to speak) when they disclosed certain hitherto confidential information.
Henceforth, any of such posts or attachments in this regard will be removed accordingly. No inconvenience intended please.

Our noble global moderators i vehemently disagree with u guys on this. You are tryin to make this site uninteresting. Do you think the individual that claims he has the past question wld have the time to forward the mails to everyone that request 4 it? Some people surf the net from public cyber cafe, while some do it from their mobile fones. I bet u understand how time consuming it would be 4 these category of people. The most important reason i am against ur idea is that it aint safe dropping ur email for public viewing on websites. Remember scammers are around the corner waiting to make use of any loose email address. Or how do u think they get the email addy's of some of our members that complain of getting invite for a test or interview for a job they didnt apply for, which are phoney most times. To tell you the truth i innocently posted my email on a thread in this site and since then i have been receiving mails from those die hard scammers. Pls think thru ur decision again.

I see your point. Mind you anyone who requests for it should be able to bear the pain that comes with it. Besides, any individual willing to help with such info doesn't have to spend all the time doing so. He can send to those who requests for it in one Lot.
As for the e-mail ads being posted, I expect you to know better than that. Most people have e-mail ads that they can share on a forum like this while they keep their original e-mail ads from public viewing - all for security reasons. I advice you take to that practice if you ain't practicing it already.
@MODERATORS SAMMIE77 & DAGUNRO: I understand u guys, but hey if I were a HR personnel of any company & I want to investigate if our question papers are circulating, I'd simply sign-up to this forum & when som1 offers to share som, I'l request for it too usin som email ad...So u see either way,its still the same thin.

I think the moderators are right.
If house members can recall, during FJA online test(2008), the guys posted a comment telling members not to discuss about questions.
Meaning employers are watching.

@sammie77, It seems to me you are an administrator with naija hot jobs. why the heck would HRs call you?
whatever the case if they discover we have their questions, they should set new ones and they shouldn't be lazy, the world is full of some many unanswered questions, so they shouldn't lack questions. The questions should be posted, and the applicants would be prepare harder and better.

i personally would not want this 2be stoped, but if ds is d sacrifice we as hotjobbers have 2make 2preserve d integrity of our own NHJ, i think it may be worth it at d long run
since NHJ has grown to become a powerful household name &a generic job board...our GM's can advice employers 2change dr questions

Both opposing parties have spoken brilliantly and this healthy debate could go on and on but here is EXACTLY the reason why I'd strongly 'insist' we use the email option:
These test papers aren't supposed to be distributed openly and website owners have been put under intense pressure leading to suits and closure of sites.
Its quite a simple thing to adjust to..."if I need a test paper I an email and request for it. If its my private email I should develop the habit of changing my password once in a (long) while or open up an email for public exposure.
That way we DON'T have to put our noble website into the risk of being preyed upon...believe me...its easy to get a site closed or implicate site owners for disclosing non-public data which those exclusive test papers are.
If in the instance I log on late and leave my email beyond the online times of the distributor, someone else who has received his or hers and sees my request can HELP forward to me.
Please and please again...let's rather risk our personal emails (whether fake or real) to spammers and scammers, than risk losing this forum. Cos your battle with scammers just requires your awareness of their 'fee factor', but our fight with 'site-content' regulators will not be an easy fight.
Assume this to be part of our flexible 'Conditions of Service' and MAY this stand till DVT says otherwise.

like i said, this is surely a big but worthy sacrifice to preserve our own NHJ
If the HR's wanna know if their xtions are in circulation, all they have to do is sign up to NHJ (which is free, and for all) and also post email addresses too (most of which are free too) and get the questions; so the email option is also flawed. If they are really serious, they should reset their xtions each time and stop being lazy. WAEC and friends know that their past xtions are in circulation, and they reset their xtions for hundreds of thousands of students in various subjects. Heck, they even know that their practical specimens are known b4 d exam. (Not that I want them to reset it- who no like easy thing?)
All I'm saying is that if they don't want the questions in circulation, they should reset it each time for the few thousand writing it, and STOP BEING LAZY HATERS! They are sooooooooooo lazy asking for almost impossible qualifications to trim the population of test takers, and now this? Can it get any worse? As if in their time they didn't see the questions with their third class or even pass... hypocrites.
Imagine, they take their time to investigate NHJ and others, but can't do a proper recruitment. ***hiss***

I read with keen interest every post on this thread.
Everyone had spoken for or against with good reasons, but i would want us to understand some facts:
"Employers are watching us", I dont think major companies will have the time to check every job site for profilferation of their questions but their brothers and sisters (fellow job seekers) give them such infos due to the fact that they are afraid of their own chances. As you know, the children, brothers or sisters of HR personnels certainly have these questions/answers. So it is fair enough for all asundry to have this questions too so as to have a level playing ground.
With due respect to the GMs, i believe posting coy questions on this site is not out of place. How many email requests have been met in this house? 1 in 100. The selfishness of some persons has made posting questions on this forum a preferred option for most of us.
@house,due to Legal reasons we have to protect this site from being tempered with. NHJ has helped a lot of persons with relevant infos and will help more in the future, so i would suggest we upload only general quetions like those from SHL site, psychometric sucess,etc and be faithful to forward coy questions to email addresses.
If God says the job is for me it must come to me...lets keep the faith "there is a job out there with your name on it"

@ all: dropping of email addresses anywhere is one of the most dangerous things you can do. The only person who thinks otherwise is the one has no clue of what danger the internet beholds. Once a person uses an email address to contact you and you reply, he probably has your name and surname. Just think of the damage he can wreak using this info. For a test, just type ur name and 'yahoo.com' into google..
A forum is exempt from the responsibility of the comments of its members. Its written somewhere in the legal agreement. No one can sue you for anything, especially UNCOPYRIGHTED material, unless you do not know your rights. Major job boards like crackberry etc have links to pirated copyrighted software and no one has shut them down till date.
Finally, let the HRs' get used to the idea of changing their questions. What do they do all year round for Christ's sake?!! Like one recently concluded test of which they have been using the same questions for over 10 years! 10 YEARS!!! The answers are with a select few and they pass it on year after year. I only recently just saw it, and plan to drop it for everyone when the time comes...
I think they should give it a rest anyone who feels like pasting it here should do so and any one who do not want to should do as they please all the same we r all in this for one just cause, dont get me wrong cos my inbox of my email is full always with enough junk mails from the so called marketers that come here and copy our emails and start sending mails to our mail box, my box is full of unwanted mails just cos sometimes i put it on here.
Let me come 4rm this angle. When MTN was hacked, we were browsing free of charge and they had to employ able hands to help them sort the "problem" so to speak there by creating job opportunities for some people. If those coys feel that job seekers already have access to their past questions, they should employ more hands to help them in setting original questions (ie creation of more job opportunities). LET THERE BE JOB IN NAIJA! Hence, @our able GMs, let the posting of able questions in this able forum ablely continue. Original Kings say so!
@house, could there be a different medium for sharing questions outside attaching them here? i think sending them to individual mail is quite hectic & stressful. Again, y shud companies be interested in what is being discussed here? where they not 1ce job seekers like us? let them face their own business, y we face ours period

In my opinion, I think just talking about the format is just okay......is it SHL,GMAT, technical questions, likely topics (if technical) is enough. Nigerian graduates want to be spoon-fed thereby implicating others. Haba!! the format is enough, u dont need exact questions to pass.
Please NHJ is not ready for any lawsuit in court ooooo, abeg make una cooperate. It's just one button that needs to be checked and this whole thing will be banned.

Sending of questions thru email is also flawed. There is the question of fraud but aside that, these hr persons will also find out we've resorted to emails the same way they found out we were posting questions here or dont u think they are even following this thread now. And they can even get people's email addresses from there. What if they decide to go thru the cvs they've collected and decide to remove cvs of those who requested for questions. Or are y'all saying we shud open multiple email boxes?Except y'all saying that we should stop sharing questions generally which wont be helpful to us. Why havent mtn, etisalat etc called customers and warned them to stop using cheats. The companies know what to do. This shouldnt b an excuse to cancel recruitments or maybe they never really wanted to recruit in the first place

Finally!! A post that I can totally agree with!!!!! Why do we believe that the only way to pass a job test is by knowing the questions beforehand? Isnt this cheating? By now, I am sure that many of us have accumulated a large collection of SHL and GMAT type past question papers. So, if we ask fellow NHJbers what sort of questions to expect in an imminent test, and we are told they will be SHL-based, we can simply go home and practise our SHL past papers. for me let be somehw real here, i knw we are fighting nt to be cut out of communication, bt i still biliv d globa moderator is rit, we shld tink twice, if we want d employers to set some new questns that means d one we have is useless, cos companys who normally set verbal & numerical may decide to make it harder and set spatial & abstract i still biliv if u want questns make a request and it will be sent to ur email. Interesting debate, but in my clear opininon i dont see it wrong in posting question papers on a site like this. I feel companies have much more important things to think about like tripling their profit and having billions of turnovers in their respective busineses instead of having having time and talk about trivial issues like calling sammie and warning him that its affecting whoever (lol).
I believe each HR department in every company have 1 billion and one ways of setting unsolved mysterious questions that would leave every job applicant wonder in anger! So if i get a 2009 Exxon Mobil questions and put it up in a site like naijahotjobs....i dont think their HR capacity development manager would even know a site like naijahotjobs exists and even if she knows, people are not dumb but extra smart to change questions which would not affect the companies business investment or profit...Let us be reminded that there are plenty of job websites in nigeria including blogspots who post questions papers of coys which i see as sample questions because 99.99% of them usually set different questions.
Abeg lets drop all these tantrums and face better issues but sammie being a global moderator and others have the right to delete any post he decides to.

Guys, it is time all company starts embracing computer based test. we av 2 embrace technology since their is global advancement in technology.
Let guys continue to post whatever they av, it shud be an issue to the employer & not the applicant.
For instance, i wrote nestle trainee engineer test & they r all fresh questns. It was a balanced situation for everybody. Company shud try 2t change their question annually. It shud encouraged bcos that is d only way they can get the best employee

The HR of a coy. is not only concerned.. bout posting of questions online but the thing is come to think bout it... if we say they should change questions, hw many people(job seekers) have passed those questions to their satisfaction, i mean the old ones? when we say computer based test, Have u forgotten what Naija people are capable of? May be they should start setting harder questions like spatial reasoning, and change them every year... We should try and be reasonable.... Do ur best and leave the rest to God.... Stop postyn Questions here... Send them thru PM or To peoples mails.... i know its hard for some people to do it but i believe we are trying to help our selves and ur efforts will be really appreciated. This is not an issue as far as i am concerned, cos first of all no body can hold NhJ FOR ANY INFO here . cos it CANT be held liable its in the registration rules. Know ur right.
