Oil and Gas Training (for Engineers and non-Engineers)

Benel Energy Resources Limited is a knowledge-driven organization that provides technical and innovative solution to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Guinea. Benel Energy is a Nigerian company founded by a team of industry professionals with a combined experience of over 50 year, spread across different segments of the industry and regions of the world.
Benel Energy currently offers a portfolio of technical courses at its training centre (BTC) that deliver key competences required for the oil and gas industry. The centre’s main focus is on building capacity to bridge the competency gaps of indigenous operators and service providers in the industry through it Professional Development Series.
The following introductory courses are currently scheduled to run at the Benel Training Center:

1. THE HYDROCARBON VALUE CYCLE (HVC):
In this course, the hydrocarbon bubble is traced from it’s formation in the “kitchen to when it is turned into a store of value. It provides an understanding of the dependencies and the inter-relationships across the exploration and production value chain. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of the basics of the opportunity realization process in the oil and gas industry from the prospecting to decommissioning.

2. INTRODUCTION TO WELL ENGINEERING (WE01)
This is a 5 day course designed for people with basic technical background who are not (or just barely) familiar with Drilling Operations and Engineering, with the aim of giving them a broad overview of the process of carrying out design, planning and drilling of a well. It starts from the basic introductory level and builds up a tempo to full knowledge. The course requires little or no basic knowledge of Well Engineering and Design. However, it requires a technical or an Engineering background to have a good appreciation. It uses a lot of pictures and diagrams to explain drilling equipment and appreciation. It uses lots of pictures and diagrams to explain drilling equipment and processes, and deals with lots of theoretical aspects.
