@ sauer instead of you to inform d hous dat you av been slated for interview 5th or 6th of sept.....25 pple av been selected hous!!! For interview
I need some help here. Can anyone give details on whether Mobil allows one to defer this scholarship after securing it? I mean, use the scholarship not this term, but next term.
I'd appreciate responses from people who have tried this.

well to those guys contacted for d interview.I wonder how dragnet set d cut-off.well if I were u I will get d scholarship before worrying about postponement cos d money involved quite huge.best wishes
At all heading off to the UK, please immediately u r contacted that u have been offered d scholarship, please request for a letter of introduction to the British High Commission from ESSO so u can make ur visa application immediately. Please dot his immediately u receive the call that u r successful and dat u shud come for d award ceremony.
This is because u guys r already late for school except for imperial guys, and it takes about 3 weeks to get ur visa especially if dis is ur first application.
If u guys can d BHC ond Island is faster than the one on d mainland and d one in Abj.
All d best with ur interviews.
For those going for courses not their first degree courses, be prepared to answer the question "why're u changing careers", u really want to show u r not a confused person...on a lighter side, "hmmm, I am changing for the money" Hahahahaha, they sure will axe that fellow!
all d best guys

Congrats to those who made it!
For the rest of us, it is well ooo. Many more opportunities ahead. What is our's will come. Cheers!
Can any one who has gotten the invite, let the house know and tell us what is inside the mail.
@kollyx I wasn't invited but a friend of mine got d invite nd only 25 pple made it nd slated for interview 5th nd 6th sept.....
Dey sent d invite yesterday..
@house... Does anybody know anyone that is going for a Geoscience course, that has been invited?
Mobil calls every discipline together at the same time for interviews.
I don't think they will allow you defer. However, things might be different this year since they are already way behind schedule as some schools will soon be resuming. But remember that the essence of the award is for Mobil and NNPC to say they have used the federal money to send 10 people to further their studies in some of the world's best universities.
As per if Mobil recruits their scholars, you would be given some statistics of 'return ratio' during the award ceremony, but will also be told you are not bound to work with them neither are they under any obligation to employ you. Simply put, for the past couple of years, being a Mobil scholar does not guarantee you a job. Let's keep hoping this will change from now on.
Finally with regards to the interviews. Let me first congratulate those called. Give it your best shot. As my boss Triple-C has stated, ensure you show them why they should be spending that much money on you. Make up your answer to that question, RIGHT NOW! Don't limit yourself. Just be convincing. A friend of mine said he would use the exposure and education to enter Nigerian politics and make the best use of our resources....and he got the award! Also, be ready to describe ur undegraduate project succinctly to engineers and HR personnel (not too technical but also showing engineering research ability). To emphasize Triple-C, if your first degree is different from your intended second degree, be ready with a very good reason why you changed.
All the best guys.
N/B: Just like Triple-C said, for those that finally get the call for the award, you need to hasten the visa process. I would advise going as a group to the consultants Triple-C mentioned.
Honestly I felt I gave it my all this time around... All well, good luck to the 25 and the final 10...
@dynamo1 and @triple C, na only Baba God go fit reward una for the wonderful insight you guys give to members of the house... Good Job
