For Whom:

Opportunities exist for suitably qualified candidates who wish to take part in the Nigeria LNG Technician Training Programme. On successful completion of the initial training programme, candidates will be offered employment as Electrical, Mechanical or Instrument Technicians at NLNG Plant Complex in Bonny.
Candidates should also be fully aware of, and committed to, living and working on Bonny Island in Rivers State.


The Job:

• The appointee will be required to execute Field or Workshops Maintenance tasks as directed by Supervisor, to meet work programs, safety requirements, and quality standards in order to ensure that plant integrity, reliability, and availability objectives are achieved in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner





Tasks

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Strictly adheres to the Permit-to-Work system and carries out work fully complying with safety precautions and requirements as detailed and directed.

• Plans and organizes work in conjunction with supervisor and carries out assigned work in an efficient and effective manner.

• Executes Maintenance activities (fault diagnosis, disassembling, cleaning, checking, measuring, reassembling, testing, servicing, repairing equipment / components) under supervision on equipment, to ensure reliability/integrity and availability of Plant. Scope includes:
o Rotating equipment
o Static mechanical equipment
o Instrumentation systems
o Electrical equipment.

• Inputs and updates equipment history records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System






Requirements

The Person:

The right candidate should:

• Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics Engineering obtained at a minimum of Upper Credit
• Possess not more than 3 years post graduation working experience.
• Be able to understand and implement best practices in HSE management coupled with ability to develop and write technical work instructions.
• Be able to maintain high professionalism, standards and discipline and communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external parties.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills with ability to supervise contractor and work within a multi- cultural team.
• Be Computer literate.
• Not be more than 28 years old

Yea, i did. Just the same way we applied trainee electrical officer. All i did was just to log in as registered user, completed the questionnaire and submit

Guys whatz ur take
my field physics is stated 4 instrument supervisior/trainer bt they require 7yr exp and d technician role they need HND instead. What's ur advice .tnks

I need help. After applying, I checked on my application and saw on my status Draft. I don't know if this means application successful. Plz help.

Hi Ohwos4u.

This "draft" means that you have not completed the application process. If the application process is completed, you will see "in process", thereafter you will receive an email message confirming your successful application with a pdf attachment. My suggestion: under my applications click the draft and follow the instructions you see after. Ensure you follow the application steps (they are 10 in number i.e personal info; education/training etc). I hope this will help. Cheers

my field is geology & degree lvl,bt i really need dis lng experience,shld i still apply?

Hi mustashfa and akinhi, try doing it on a saturday when you'll likely have faster internet connection. Also its a bit easier on microsoft internet explorer version 5 or higher. If doing it at a cafe is giving problems, i suggest you use a friend's laptop to do it. The truth about it is that you need to be PATIENT and DONT GIVE UP. like someone posted earlier, he gave it a no retreat, no surrender. All the best guys. Cheers.
