i will recomend this book ' what is to be done by nicolai chernechevsky'. checck it out on amazon website.this book was the origin of the russian revolution in 1917.the revolution started first in the attitude and mind of the people.but my nigerian brothers want to copy egypt and co.pls go and read this book 'the arab mind by dr raphael patai' u will understand the true origin.our loerd jesus christ was also the originator of a non violent revoltion even though the people were lookin 4a warrior as a revoltionary leader.pls read books like this it will help u.also read tthe warrior politics by by robert kaplan u will understand what he called determinism.i cant explain i revolved my mind after readin certain secrets.guys be calm
@Mosunjoseph, I can now see where u'r coming, I want to inform dat sum of us dat support ds move are employed and recieves more or less of 160k but decide to join ds train bcos nigerian graduate are negleted. How can sum1 d end evy mnth goes home wit 15million while its citizens suffers.
Thus, Some books we read affect us either positively or negetively, Do U know dat sum pple believe dat God,heaven, hail etc does not exist? I don't want to believe dat u'r dat kind of student a lectural will fail serval times n within U, U knows dat u passed his course but goes ahead to say sumday God will come 4rm heaven to ask d lectural y he's failing U, without u acting.
I solicit u stop posting any tin on ds thread since u don't hv any meaningful thing to post.
@mosunjoseph, sincerely speaking , I still dont know the rationale behind ur reasoning.May be you dont have a practical experience of what it is to be unemployed without anybody to depend on even for a sachet pure water. Many unemployed graduates see basic necessities of life as luxuries; u are invited for aptitude test but u need to borrow transport fare, guess how much #500,a square is not certain per day not to talk of two,u cant attend occasion just bcos u dont have what to wear,u shy to remove ur mobile phone in the pubic just bcos it does not befit ur status etc. If u dont face any of the ordeals listed above regularly,u are not truly unemployed so cant really know what it takes...guys dey suffer 4 naija o.
Sometin serious & brave has 2 be done & fast too.
'm with u guys but their should be a better medium for mr. president to hear us. we all cannot come from different state to aso rock for the agitation. their should be delegates representing us. lets go clear the air in the villa saying WE WANT TO SEE HIS EXCELLENCY URGENTLY. GEJ is a peaceful and reasonable person and he will certainly do something about it
unfotunately u guys think am against ur idea.god knows am nt,i just have a different dimension to it.that was y i talked about the revolution of jesus christ who deliverd the nation of israel and the whole world by teaching the people about how to revolve their mind, that is where revolution starts.once that has been acheived the outward will flow out automatically.it pains me that we dont see this point.i cant 4get how people use to shoot n kill 4common SUG elections in the univesity so why are we blaming politician when they do the same.i also remember how a CLO was almost punished for stealing corpers money.it is the youth of one generation ago that are the leaders today.the more i talk the more toes i step.just like i said am unemployed too and my situation is mor critical than some of u but dont lets get personal.i so much believe i cant die a poor man cos of my faith in god and i have learnt to give thanks in my deepest depression.guys also know that there is a difference between unemployment and joblessnes.though am unemployed am not jobless.
i think we should form a reasonable Union to dis Unemployed issues.for me each STATE should have their own COORDINATOR,AFTER that, they we now have NATIONAL BODY'S.IN my own state i will be the coordinator.i ready for this peaceful protests that will take effect on TUESDAY 04/10/2011.
i think we should form a reasonable Union to dis Unemployed issues.for me each STATES should have their own COORDINATOR'S,AFTER that, a NATIONAL BODY'S we be there for them.IN my own state i will be the coordinator.i ready for this peaceful protests that will take effect on TUESDAY 04/10/2011.
I will still ask again n again, wat if d peaceful protest fails, wats next?can d govt employ evrybody?i realised long tym ago dat it actually takes much energy tinkin abt a problem than findin a solution, wit al due respect some of us r not ready to work but want to earn big money, their is no job dat is demeaning as long as it legal,hw many of u hv taught in private skuls as Nce holders witout looking at d pay?or sec adm worked as office clerks witout lookin at d pay?,d list goes on n on,am not against aiming 4 d skies while gazing at d moon, but lets start wit self evaluation, lets look inwards.@mosun guy even though i dont knw u i can feel u xperienced d bitter pills of unemployment n has outgrown it lyk.dis is my naijeria,am not a mismatch, those policians dat we r mentioning once passed thru situation lyk dis, even dey can mk their way, then i SON of the Most HIGH GOD will mk it HIS,May His peace n wisdom oversee dis peaceful process.
OUR UNBORN KIDS WAITING TO BREATHE IS AT HIGH RISK OF THIS OUR NATIONAL PREDICAMENT. CHECK OUT OUR FACEBOOK, ''Nigerian graduate showdown''or www.nigerinmillionmarch.com.., to join forces. No going back!!!
A forum should be created for interested graduates to register. A particular date and time should reached to commence an agreed action. It is in our hands to direct this country else our children will suffer same. I will advice that a day should be reached for prayers to be made God with a particular topic before anything else.
i know diff people have their different views about tgis cause but from what i have heard,it is a peaceful protest so let some of us stop acting as if this showdown is another civil war. We want them to know our pains..the NYSC releases thousands of graduates every 4-5months,how many of them get employed, how many of them with ideas have been aided to set up themselfs....Nigerians your future is in your hands,,your future is NOW.....
because of the logistics involved in gathering over 1 million graduates for this showdown...i suggest that we use the press and media houses to send out our message while we make preparations for the showdown......
Now follow on twitter; 9ja_Grad_Shdown. NO going back.
Lack of electricity = Poverty in Nigeria
Lack of electricity = High unemployment in Nigeria
Lack of electricity = Armed robbery in Nigeria
Lack of electricity = Nigerians needlessly dying in hospitals
Lack of electricity = Lack of infrastructures in Nigeria
Lack of electricity = Nigerians paying high prices for food
Lack of electricity = Lack of quality education
Lack of electricity = Life expectancy of 48yrs
I have read with pain in my heart what the nigerian graduate is going through. My heart really bleeds. I was at home for six years not employed. No one came to my rescue. The government only tackles the situation with lip service. But house permit me to ask this question, because I am seeing a tone of digression from the threads. What is the main theme of this struggle ( I won't call it a protest), Is it about unemployment, or about the 'Bank-oles' of the legislatures and their salaries? Please let's define and mark the line. If you link them one to another, this struggle may end up being swallowed up by the events in the legislative houses. Are we protesting about their 'robber' salaries or about the state of unemployment.
I wish to God that everyone stops looking up to government for employment, the law of economics will never allow it to work.
This is one of the digressions; Is the complaints about electricity? If you get electricity you'll forget about the coruption the law houses?
Govt. will tell you and assure you that all these things are being looked into. and you get stucked. So please we are willing to follow. What is the definition of this noble struggle in as much as it will better the lots of the unemployed especially the nigerian graduates?

Abuja we are comming, we are not bringing goodwill but we are bringing drama!!!
@Mosunjoseph,come do u tink u r more wise than every persons on this window or more godly? I wonder why som 1 can not see reason.
U talked of running to abroad and Abraham patience,do u know that father Abraham was on the moving? How do explain the sword on the lest hand and trowel trowel on the right hand when Nehemiah and the pple were rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem.
I can not agree to sharing blood but call the attension to the potty belly fools in the decision making of this Nation. C,I dont like reading ur post any longer bcos u almost act anti..... Well,is a choice.
Mosun & Sammie, it is true dt more than 98% of us, given an opportunity will do worst things than Bankole n Co. In which case I strongly urge our youths 2 carry out a personal attitudinal re-orrientation and live a regenerated life in CHRIST. No matter how hard we try we can't be corruption free except we give our lives God cos every man in his unregenerated form is naturally selfish. Having said dt, d two of u should start a new thread 4 dt n not necessarily this one. It is either u encourage dis course or u DO NOT discourage it at all, thank u.
all unemployed nigerians should please gather at the national assembly gate A on the 24th june 2011.
please come with the following-
=proof of university degree
=nysc
=birth certificate
=indigiene certificate (state or local govt)
=id card...national driver license, national id card or international passport.
registration per state basis commences at 8 am and ends at 12 noon.
you must be really unemployed, not under employed or self employed.
poverty must be expressly written on your face.....any show of affluence will get you disqualified.
there after, we elect our leaders, and hold a world press conference denouncing the satanic government in nigeria.
we from there march to the senate president and speakers office, to give them a ten (10) point demand, that must be actualized before the end of june...
are you in?
Am in but in the spirit because am married with children and not any where close to abuja. But i encourage anyone who believes in Nigeria to rise up and make a change and not just to say CHANGE.
Hey!!! I am so happy that Nigerian youths are waking up from there slumber. mmmh nice, i am in and we can make a mark in history if only we choose to...
I remain Comr. Efe Nosa, lets do more actions and lesser talking. Its time we separate the sheep from the goat, i will be there life, God willing.
We must put a stop to all this political brouhaha and start writing a new chapter in our history and for the future, if people like Martin Luther King, Mahad Magandi did it, then why cant we.
Lets us come together as agreed by the posted date and shake those who claim to be the movers and shakers of our time. make them know that we are tired of them sacrificing the future at the alter of their greed, manipulating Nigerian as if she is toy, turning our democracy to an anarchy and looting the treasury as though they have invested so much into it.
Enough is Enough.
My email address is [email protected]
Lets keep updating ourselves.
i suggest we have a more protest becos scanty rallies will not have any meaningful effect...if you are atleast 10,000 graduates for d protest then its better or we wait til october d one million graduate showdown. join on facebook ''Nigerian Graduate Showdown''or follow on twitter 9ja_grad_shdown..
Please am in lagos and i cannot come to abuja because of t/fare. How do we make the impact of this march strongly felt? Can there be a lagos march simultaneously with the abuja march? Where will the venue be for lagos? Let us act as if tomorrow will not come that way they will know we are serious.
Can we make arrangement for media hoses to carry it live? Remember the youths in imo or was it abia that confronted their governor with his scam job and got a refund of their monies? Media houses helped a lot in that struggle. So i suggest channels, nta,and silverbird should be contacted to air it live.
for JESUS ARMY to have joined this struggle then hope is around the corner. HE is one man i have not met yet i have so much respect for him.he is so selfless and yet not arrogant. he is a believer and yet not a fanatic like the ones advocating for sit down dey look option. guy i dey believe you die. i hope you saw my office too at NNPC in warri?because nothing can stop me this time. you called it "arrogant positivism" KEEP THE GOOD WORK UP.

Okay let's all go down on our knees n pray like so many brodas here suggested...pray long and hard....am betting one serious prayer would get hungry and suddenly remember he aint got money to feed then reality would sink in....my point?...heaven helps men who help themselves.. I went for a chevron test....about 7000 youths wer on que for a chevron test...every body wanna work in an oil firm...I even have a friend who graduated from theatre arts...guess what..she wanna work in an oil coy.surely the GOVT has a case to answer, how come all other sectors of the economy seems dormant ,what's the use studying agric economics when you end up battling for an oil amd gas job...whatever happend to the agric sector ...a potential area where a whole lot of jobs can be created ...so we pray right and what....God will come down and ask GEJ to give us all jobs.... good idea...let's do that for another maybe 4 years... A protest is acceptable..with specific demands..for the economy in general...some talk of self employment...I say give us power and a large chunk of unemployed graduates will find something to do..rejuvenate all other sectors of the economy and the number of people struggling for limited oil and gas job offers will crash.... Or maybe we should all be politicians abi... Guys let God be! I stand for prayer but I also stand for playing your part and letting God do the rest....let's march already...maybe a strong statement would make our leaders sit up and actually govern for once!!!!!!!!!!!!! Out!!!!!!
I think that people who do not have important contribution to this matter should not end up discouraging people, our minds are made up and there is no going back, I am positive about this. This is not a matter of carrying gun or weapons, it is called a peaceful protest, to make our leaders realise that it is not easy. We are not begging them for money, we have served our fathers land, went to school, most of us in harsh conditions, just to better our lives and some people will come out here and say we should pray. Are we not tired of praying? abi do U wan God to come down and fight the battle that we are supposed to fight for ourselves? My discouraging brothers sit down make things they pass U by, we are not getting young, everyday that passes means a lot to each and everyone of us. I know they do not give jobs, but they have what it takes to get things done especially in the aspect of POWER. How many of their children know about this site? and we are folding our hands. One man can come out and embezzle 40billion naira and still be smiling and saying that his arrest was dubious. It is only in Nigeria that I see that if U steal billions of naira, the next thing the court will do is to grant U bail for 10million naira, then U go scot free. For God sake what is 10million compared to billion. Na this kind of thing wey youths go hear finish carry gun. To us youths, it seems we feel negleted and aboundoned, isn't it high time we show that we went to school? How can 100,000 people be applying for a job of about 5 positions. Then after traveling up and down U get a discouraging mail that U are unsuccessful, God forbid. I am tired. Guys let us fight for our right. Let us join this forum and get things done by ourselves. Tomorrow, thousands of graduates are finishing service, where is their faith? If U are not interested sit down and watch. Jesus army, I don't think 24th of June is feasible because the NASS are on recess till on the 28 of June, I think we choose another date, that we will match both in Lagos and Abuja especially, if possible other states. Thanks while we think about a feasible date
Issues....!
denizzman, the fact is that we are tired of this situation and we cannot wait any longer, it is high time we vomit. I think U should come to Abj and see things for urself. It is either people are in or out. I am 100% in men. No time to waste, we have given those our leaders enough time to make things right, but they have refused cos of their selfish interest. Pass PIB they say no, Ok give us light, they are draging their feet cos of the profit they get from generator importation. Let us not do, the more we look, the less we see. Calculate how much each of them take home every three months(over 90million naira), then U will know wat we are talking about. Then one idiot will come out on Nigeria station and say that they deserve that kind of pay cos of the research they do. For God sake what kind of useless research. A research of I and NAY. If they give 300 of us the task, we will do those their useless and fruitless research much more better and get better results. They are draging this country backwards, Dimeji that went to Havard and Oxford Universities, I don't know if wat he read in school is Scamming, fraud and money laundering 101. Please I think it is high time we make things right. Join www. nigerianmillionmarch.com, which is going to take place on the 24th of October. Contribute there and share ur opinion. We must put things in order. It is a peaceful protest. In Lagos and Abuja, maybe Port harcout people can as well organise theirselves in Port. Emergency I really do not know how to join ur Nigerian graduate showdown on facebook. This is no time to play. We are graduates, let us be serious
i am provoked! if we can have our way on that day we should demand d shutting down of d national assembly or we graduates replace them, they are gettin paid in millions for nothing!.. i am ready to give any thing it takes even d last drop of my blood we are not smiling at all!
Mehn!!! It really isn't funny anymore, buh we place it all in God's hands, just be prayerful, there's a good job out there for you, ask God to increase the length of your arm so you'll grab it...............
Amen oooo elnero. Also the legs must be stretched to reach places where the jobs are. I pray the nation will be good for better
We Are all JUNKS of Cowards.....................................Thank God For BOKO HARAM!!!
Until we solve the problem created by this corrupt men............Things can never be good. God has empowered us by educating us. May God have mercy!!
