congrats.just give God thanks and praise all through this month. You should know what you want.is it money or a career?if it is money go for schlum.career NNPC. with both you can move to any level. but if you intend to be on ur own in the nearest future schlum is the answer.dont forget to ask God in prayers
Congrats to all successful NNPC guys.
Double congratulation!!!!
Slum has changed over the yrs with the package dwindling yearly. They have over 12 company wit diff salary scale and I can assure that medical , housing, pension etc are missing in some package!
Some NNPC contract staff are better that some Slum peeps! Many Slum guys wrote NNPC test but I don't think many nnpc staff would think of going to Slum
Guys,
I will like to know if any finance related GT has been called. I have not seen any comment on Accounting recruits. Is there still another batch?
Thanks.
I don't understand why someone will compare schlumberger with NNPC. The comparison you are attempting to do is like comparing light with day. My friend, you better accept the NNPC offer immediately. I wonder why you are even confused in the first place.
sorry i meant 6th of August!
Bros i must tell u one thing. Life is all about priorities and compromises. The answer to your question is kinda complex and depends on a lot. Firstly i need to know if u're a fresh graduate or u gat some work experience. If you're a fresh grad, then going for the job first wld pay off but if the latter is the case then i rather would advice u go for the scholarship (Msc) first. You also didn't mention if u were employed as an EH or GT. This are factors u need to take into consideration before taking a decision. By God's grace u wld always get a job subsequently. Let me share ma experience wif u. I was working wit conoil before i got a full sponsorship for my master's prog which i actually accepted and thus resigned from my job. I did my masters, got a part-time job along with the scholarship and saved almost twice what nnpc is offering GTs @ the moment. Although i partook in this exercise, i haven't gotten any letter yet but i must tell you i do not regret going for the masters programme @ the expense of my job. Although i eagerly hope and believe GOD for a professional job soonest cos am back in the country. Similarly, i applied for the GT role @ NNPC, just because i was one year short of falling into the EH category. I pressume if you are in this kind of category, then waiting for the next recruitment may pay off for you cos then u wld have obtained your masters' degree as well as qualify for the EH role. Trust me as GOD lives you will get a good job after your programme. Remember, if u were employed as a GT, u wld need to work for several years in other to save the value of your scholarship award. Afterall the GT pay is not as rosy as some of us tot. Perhaps you should PM me so we could talk better. The choice is really yours.
One more thing, i just got an idea but wont wanna discuss that on a public forum. You could kill both birds with a stone. PM me make we yearn.
@meet-tope, wowwww! Thanx 4 ur insightful advice. I was actually employed as a GT, didnt rily qualify 4 EH. I will rily need to chat 1-on-1 with u... I seriously have d plan 2 prayerfully n consciously work tins out 4 both opportunities - afterall i was the 1 who asked God 4 both, n He just answered. Thanks!
I hve been following this thread since september 2012 desperately waiting for my letter cos i know i was commended by a member of the parnel. I have waited with anxiety since on monday when someone first recieved letter but have confirmed that i am not on d list. From edo state, studied chem. engr. Did they employ on merit from edo![]()
