Its really amazing the number of people that come here to preach about doing something productive.
Do u think we r jobless . I'm sure at least 70% of hopefuls r gainfully employed. All the folks I met during the interview we all employed in banks, telecoms, even contract staff from oil companies.
We r just in search of greener pastures which is not a crime or sin and which definitely doesn't represent hopelessness. So stop feeding us this horse shit, pls.

We even have close to a 1000 EHs among us, and u tell them to go and do something productive. Unlike u hypocrites some of us can't settle for mediocrity and always aspire to improve.

I met two ladies in the queue during the aptitude tests. They looked confused and rushed and on further enquiries I found out they were just coming in from the UK. They have an education up to Masters level and they work there. Saw one later on during the interviews, the other couldn't make it back for hers. Some of us here work 'online'. Maybe they are in charge of managing their companies' websites. If you see them here its because they have free internet. Some don't work in Abuja and don't have ears on ground. This is where they get their info. By the way, if you're not so jobless Mr Gee gee, how did you see us here? Of all the sites in the trillion sites on the web, its here you come to yarn dust. Leave us to our foolishness and lack of foresight. We quite like it that way. Last we checked, it was serving a purpose.

@hiswill: put yourself in our shoes, whose report would you believe? That of someone who is on ground, who got he's from the horse's mouth. Or someone who idly googled PTI conference centre and is giving us 'unverified' reports? Do you guys even listen to yourselves or take a look at yourselves as you do this? Contradictions, that's what the two of you are!

That's the truth. But more of the unemployed. However, it does not still mean that they don't hv something else doing. Until it comes or an opportunity opens, people will continue to keep in touch. Mallam Ribadu was not jobless after his presidential race. The world is open for 'exploration' of diverse kind.

@All; the number of pages on this issue is alarming. Soon it will reach the numbers of GT. Hahahaha. No hard feelings.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

On a final note, I can understd it when someone says forget abt this nnpc recruitment and move on owing to the trend of events, however I think its insultive to say go and do something productive.
@QED: I'm one of the many who traveled from the UK for both the test and interview. U shd have seen us at Amsterdam airport some where even reading. I just finished my msc and currently working, however there's no place like home. I even flew in on the day of the interview cos we have to give a week notice before leaving work to travel. I arrived at the towers with my travellers bag u can imagine the level of security searching I went through. to make matters worse my interviewers said there's no way they wld be able to cover my travel expenses but said they appreciated my efforts.
Even JA who is a hopeful in the making, is doing something productive else how do u think he gets info. I'm sure this applies to many hopefuls as well.
    Case closed.

do not see this as negativity but being objective bcos in reality -even if you get employed- you will do well with being objective and strategic in analysis, reasoning and decision making.

i blame the greed of the west and europe alike for teaching us to be civil servants and training their own to be entrepreneurs. nonetheless, we are handicapped by the captivity of our own minds. nobody is to blame for your success or mayhem; not the govt, not the society, it is you...

    cheers and goodluck
why then are you here if you were that productive enough?

It equally applies to some other that 'Bus-In' to the towers for the interview. Well, i don't kno how u arrived at brilliant minds being many in this recruitment. May be, when one has to travel from abroad for test or interview? or those who can construct good English? many have been on the nerve of Vin20 for one error and the other. brilliancy is not only for those who can write good English. Don't 4get that there are so many courses in the university. And moreover, examination may not be the true test of ones knowledge. So many things are involved before that brilliancy can come. It will not be seen as fair 4 those who may not make the list if its finally out, but life goes on. God help us.
