Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
From those initial posts you could all deduce that the total number of people initially being target for recruitment is about 1000 people.
According to what she said, 595 people may have been called now but I should be rest assured that the remaining 400+ people will still be filled up at the end of the day. This much, she said the aunty of hers is dead sure about.
According to her some people might still called on merit base to fill up this 400+ list but a VERY higher percentage of it shall be of favoured/well connected people.
To all those still believing in God for a miracle, keep your hope alive.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
That is what I hate most in my life. Why for God sake is such person not invited for the interview. i don't like hearing of people that never participate in the recruitment but are having letters.

* A lower number were people with degrees and certificates from the country public institutions.
On presentation to the board, some board members antagonised the list based on the higher number of favoured peope and the higher number of people with foreign degrees, thus questioning the rationale for that and arguing why foreign degree holders should be given so much edge over those with indiginous degrees and certificates.
She said with all those issues raised the board members rejected that very list.
THE THIRD LIST PRESENTED.
This was the very list she said was approved based on a very higher degree of merit( 80 to 85 percentage). This list she said actually took care some of the objections raised on the two ealier post.
On the list, according to her, there are people who made the list through the presidency that do not even write the test or attend the interview at all in the EH cadre of which a colleague of OURS in my present office is a beneficiary.
This colleague of mine is from bayelsa and actually participated in the Neighbour to Neighbour group for the Jonathan presidential campaign in the last general election.
After she told me all these ealier this morning when I saw her in the office all I could do is to just offer a prayer for my dearest NATION to be given the LEADERS that will run the affairs of this country in the most honest way possible and pleasing to Almighty God.
I WEPT FOR MY COUNTRY, NIGERIA.

Of course you are very intelligent, one can deduce from your write up. I agree with Quote:

The problem with transcorp & the likes was management, but in this one I am proposing, it will pioneered by ambitious & purpose-driven youths, who are thirsty for success & fairness & not by corrupt-minded & selfish old men looking for a way to achieve their political fraud. I still believe strongly that this will succeed if & only if we give it a chance. We mustn't be too desperate about this NNPC job as if without it our lives are doomed, Noooooooooo. I don't want to repeat myself over & over, we need to forge ahead & let God decide the next step in NNPC recruitment even though I see an end to it already...because in Nigeria, we always believe things must work out for everyone even when we know & see the truth. Remember, when Argentina won Nigeria in USA 1994, Nigerians started carrying rumor that the match has been cancelled becos Maradona tested ve to drug after the match, but did it happened? We Nigerians have a way of believing things just to keep our hopes alive, but we must let go of this NNPC thing & let it be as it has been destined to be, for God alone knows the best, but then we cannot allow our lives to rot in idleness becos NNPC or any other co. didn't offer us employment. Let me tell you, our not being able to make it to the final list of NNPC employment doesn't necessarily mean we are not good or that those that made it are better than us, if you believe so, then I don't cos I know very well by God's grace that I am very good in all ways you can think of, but God knows why my name wasn't on that first list. so guys think out of the box & lets see what we can do....if we keep listening to people telling us this & that they heard from a staff who knew the GMD, who knew the minister's daughter who is a friend to president's auntie's uncle's friend...lets face our life...what next without NNPC

@ Jajamark, you are one of those great minds that I respected so much on this thread ever since have been reading through.
Unlike some peeps who felt people still coming to this thread have nothing doing without knowing that might not truly be the case.
In my case for instance, I work presently @ one the Federal govt. Agency in Abuja with an averagely good pay but still opted to go to NNPC bcos of the high level of REDUNDANCY in most federal establishment. Imagine going to work from 8:30 to 5:00 everyday with little or nothing to do all the way from monday through friday.
My bro, it is career killing. I was even questioned on this during the interview by the panelist on why I really want to leave my present agency for them with all the prestige the agancy has; of which I told them, career wise I am not growing at all because I got little or nothing doing for the past two years that I have been there.
But, on a more lighter note, the struggle continues. This is the more reason I've kept on attending tests and interviews with the likes of Shell, Chevron and all other multinational companies out there. I believe with Gods' favour and grace, I will surely get there on day career wise.
Shout outs to the following peeps in the house as well: KALOKALO, SURJ, MUSTY4U, MOSSQUAD, ETHNAN, TERRACO, BB1 and host of other great minds on this thread.
I have really gained a lot from great minds through their different life experiences being shared here, ONE LOVE MY PEOPLE.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
My Brother, I have reviewed all your posts and found that the following
- You are a very serious minded person.
- You are a very meticulous and detailed person
- You are structured and focussed for the points.
- Very brilliant mind too.
- Very few young men these like work; they want to earn and play around.
My prayer is, may God bless you. The great young men in this forum make it thick. Nigeria is blessed.
However, we are suffering from Dutch disease. Only 2 countries escaped this disease, Canada and Norway. Why, selflessness was the key. Including me, we have grab, grab mentality.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
We realy thank God for a person like Parosho who had given us what realy happened. I had said it b4 here that not all the 1st batch were on merit, see what had happened. Candidates from Presidency, who had 2 masters from abroad,no matter their number, took places of many merit who are yet to be called. We have not seen the end of this recruitment until another batch is called by God's garce.
