Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Amidst all d political, religious and economic crisis, what's d latest on ground? Any news?
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
The obvious news in town is the possibility that NNPC will reduce the pay of her staff by 30% as a measure to drop down cost of running govt. So, the allowances of public office holders may soon witness reduction. This could be the only way to justify deregulation of downstream sector since it appears govt and labour are not ready to come down from high horse.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
the process would be completed...the national crisis must be settled first. security is of paramount importance. this project cannot be abandoned, walahi....its in the interest of government that it is completed
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
The existence of a list is not what's in contention; what we are agitating for is the release of the letters. In my last post, I did inform the house of my friend whose friends name has been confirmed in the list. No matter what individuals are involved in ensuring the secrecy of the list, nothing can stop the content from being divulged.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
For a fact I know selection was completed on the 6th Sept, and verification of results was completed by the end of Sept. So there has been a list for over 3months.
However the existence of a list, or confirming ur name on the list doesn't bring the process to its end. Personally I have known my interview score and status for a while now.
My point is until a resumption date is announced and ltrs are distributed anything can happen. What scares me is that no one seems to know anything abt everything, even my sources. I was even advised recently to forget abt the process by an nnpc staff whom I met whilst doing my 2nd degree. My prayer is that we don't experience the fate of applicants in 2008.
I want to believe its the several unforeseen circumstances that have been stalling the process. E.g. 2011elections, nnpc probe, fuel subsidy removal, deregulation, civil protests, PIB bill and so on.
God help us.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
i pray that in their bid to show nigerians that they are ready to employ people, they will release letters to all that were interviewed. can we turn that to our prayer point?
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
That is my prayer o. So that 4900 of us will leave the street.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
iHope, you mean you already know your interview score. Tell me, how was it graded? Is it over 50 or 100. And what is the pass mark. I will like you to reply irrespective of whether the letters come out or not. Much love
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Only God knows when this process will come to an end.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
there is light at the end of the tunnel, some of us may really need to fast and pray to surmount the roadblocks on our way. i had a dream two days ago and had to fast and pray yesterday to clear the roadblock on my way to getting this job and by faith, i claim victory in Jesus name.

I must say its becoming extremely difficult to defend NNPC. This week's events have completely broaden my knowledge of the system and my eyes r wide open. Now I ask myself y do I want to work here?
It would selfish of me to be against deregulation, even though NNPC will likely be privatized or will have far less ctrl of the industry. Its not right for them to be a player as well as a regulator. To be sincere, I don't think they need as many subsidiaries, most of the have overlapping functions or don't do anything meaningful.
Hopefuls who want this job just for the money, I'm afraid it wouldn't be business as usual, however if u intend to bring positive change in the system and bring an end to this endemic corruption , the sky is ur limit.
Fellow Nigerians God is our strength.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Saw this on a social network news that GGM corporate affairs of NNPC Dr levi has resigned from his post due to insincerity of the corporation abt fuel subsidy and the so called cabal.
