if my thinking is true then vin20 has been correct all these while we have been castigating him. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I dnt beliv anyone with a sane mind would want to dsbeliv d fact dat dia wud b a 2nd batch. Wat am confused over is whether d 2nd batch is meant to fill up d vacuum arising frm d rejectn of offers by dos in d first batch or if d 2nd batch is a list dat already exists. Pls let us knw if ur response to ds veri questn is frm ur source or frm ur logical thinking. Meanyl, I heard frm sm quarters (though not reliable ) dat dia was a list containin abt 2000names. .can u help confirm dat or frm ur analysisi, do u think dey'v contacted up to 50% on d list signed by d MPR?
But Terraco had said this b4 that the awaiting list was together with the first batch, no cause for alarm, we are not concerning with anyone rejecting the offer, major 1st batch would take the offers, though some people might ve been with better oil companies such as Chevron, Shell, Mobil etc. If not bcos of unemplyment NNPC is not a place people should be fighting for bcos some of their staff do resign to better oil compaines.
If not bcos of how difficult it is to get jobs in oil nd gas, present NNPC does not make one to develop career well, its staff only go for training for sake.
Cool.....thx 4 d response. How much do u knw abt d accessibility of d compleste list.? And can u tel d correct number of d names derein? Same questn to Terraco. Am askin cus am havin a debacle hia. A senior staff in d rank of SS4 (WRPC) whose elder broda is a GED in Abj,cald Abuja to check ma name and d response was positiv. Anoda, bhu a managemnt staff(same WRPC) did same and gav me a negativ response.I jst wonna assume dat d list d managemnt staff checkd is dat containin list of dispatched letas. Y una dey laff, if na una, werin una go assume? Abeg o, we kip prayin and hopin d tin comes fast. It shdnt be tied to d PIB o cus u jst knt trust d N/Assembly on issues lyk dis...
@bb1,dis ur positivity is fueling ma spirit lyk a motor spirit.@musty4u,i knw say u no dey cari last.2nd batch!me i dey wait.
It cannot be tied to PIB.
whatever is tying our letters should allow dem release it joor. No time.
Whomsoever God guides, he is the rightly guided one, and whomsoever He causes to err, you shall not find for him a friend to lead (him) to the right path.
The call came just after 9 a.m. It woke me up. I picked it up without looking at the screen but immediately I heard the voice, I recognized it instantly: it was my NNPC Source . He told me to give him my full name n I gave him then he read out a candidate no. which I told him was not mine. Then he said someone who took the interview has similar name with me. After I gave him my email, he searched the system then he told me I did not make the list.
I scored 80% and they only recruited 4 Gt's from my state, Zamfara. I then inquired about 2nd batch/list. He said he doesn't know anything about that and he is part of the recruitment team.
I related this info to one of my friend. He sympathized with me n told me that a son of a former SGF (his friend) got d offer without test n interview. They were in London studying and he never came to naija through out last year.
In my opinion most GT's n OP's were selected on merit but a handful of d EH that got in were selected through referrals.
I simply want to tell you folks that I am happy and relieved. Even though I did not make d list, I know my faith (I despise not knowing n being in darkness) and I know that it is not my incompetence that is a leading me to a life of no job 4 more than four years. For Now I shall go back to school for my masters since I can not open to door to employment or rather the door simply refuses to open. God knows I've have tried n tried n tried.
Sadly, this is my first and last post on dis forum. I can not be of any assistance to anyone one of you. My source is a 'pain in d '. This is d only time dat he has ever contacted me ever since he knew I was involved in his recruitment.
It is not my wish to dampen anyones spirit. I am only sharing my experience and possible course of actions. I hope he is not yet aware of a new patch/list.
I thank u all of for all that you have done n I hope the best for the righteous amongst us.
Hello and goodbye.
@All,
Firstly, I wish to congratulate all NNPC hopefuls, now employees who have received their appointment letters. I also wish to encourage all those who are expectant for their letters that all hope is not lost. I was rightly informed that there should be another list. And even aside from that you're not in, God has a plan for you.
I wish to make a statement on the position of things with regards to our contributions and planned publication on the non-release of the DPR appointment letters. You will agree with me that there has been a lot of new developments over the past few weeks in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry and in particulary the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, under which we hope to belong. And I want to re-iterate that our planned publication shall go on and it will be as soon as we finalise with a new publication and get the right media house to publish our message at what we can afford. I want to reassure everyone that my promise has been to continue in this struggle, and I am not backing out. And even of recent, there has been unconfirmed reports that DPR letters shall roll out soon. We have simply decided to lie low for a while and watch things unfold in the light of all the new developments to know what next steps to take.
It began with the plane crash of June 3rd, to the change in management of NNPC, to the release of NNPC appointment letters, to the burial of DPR Director's mum and then the submission of the new PIB by the Minister to Mr President which has been forwarded to the National Assembly for their consideration. The new PIB as we know when passed into law will change the way business is done in the industry. The official copy of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) is available for you to download and review via this link: http://fb.me/23PfrVAJe
As a result of all the above mentioned, we have decided to modify our tone and approach to the struggle. And since Madam Minister has shown that she is not sleeping and true to her words, she has evidently shown that she wants to methodically transform the industry by what we have seen so far, it is only right we address our publication to her and not to Mr President, as the reverse might be counter-productive. Also, the new events so far shall be taken into account and the publication shall only reflect the non-release of DPR appointment letters, since that of NNPC has been released. A draft of the new publication shall be made available to us soon for review. In addition to the publication, I shall also personally submit an appeal at the Minster's office in Abuja early next month. In the end, a financial report shall be presented to the house.
We are grateful to everyone who has made contributions to this course and especially to the NNPC hopefuls whose contributions shall now be used to fight for the DPR course alone. Such selfless efforts shall be rewarded. And I can assure you that our efforts will surely yield fruits in no long time.
Always follow us on twitter https://twitter.com/nnpcdprgroup for the latest responses and tweets from the Minister.
Remain blessed.
