Religion is really the opium of the masses. Our situation is very bad in Nigeria because we are all waiting for God, Jesus, Allah or some other god to correct the ills in our society.
But the question is what have we done individually to ensure that our society becomes a better place for us all? Nothing, most of us (including me of course) are busy praying to our God to take charge and solve our problems. No wonder our problems still persists and are getting worse.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I totally agree with retired corper & JA. NIGERIANS have been brain washed, the bible states clearly that u give 2 ceasar what belongs to ceasar, & that GOD makes impossibilities possible. protesting or seriously agitating against bad leadership is not an impossibility. In Nigeria we are waiting for God to do everything. we should be the ones protesting not LIBYA, SYRIA ETC. They have electricity everywhere in libya and syria, and youth unemployment is below 7% in both countries while it is above 22% in NIGERIA. Their so called dictators are much better than our leaders, yet we wait for GOD. They are not concerned because they know that nothing will happen.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Shame on u hopefuls can't u take a cue from other threads (notably the dpr thread) and stop filling this thread with sheer nonsense and frevolities. Com'on!!!.
219 pages!! 98% of which is Pure rubbish. Seems everyone is always looking for an exccuse to digress to talk abt sometin utterly irrelevant to the issue at hand
If u have no info or update wld it kill u to keep mute. I'm sure I'm gonna get a lot of stick for this, but sincerely I couldn't care less. Ur actions here tell a grime story of the kind of pple nnpc are abt to employ, its a real travesty.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Our youths should ask themselves how countrie like TURKEY,CHINA,BRAZIL,MALAYSIA,ANGOLA,BOTSWANA, & VIETNAM who recently adopted different mentalities & now mostly believe in hardwork are doing much better than us. Nigeria is full of hypocrites, they only become very religious when they need help. Thats why i like JA. despite the fact that he is not on the NNPC waiting list, he is absolutely committed to the cause for the benefit of others. MOST Applicants will prefer to know MRS ALISON OR MR AUSTIN to the General Overseer of their Church or the Chief Imam of their Mosque. Forget story no be today!!! The fact is only 30% of the NNPC hopefuls are actually waiting on GOD and honestly, that is because they have no Choice.
-
It is always very disturbing to see the kind of nonsence pple post here. Pls for God sake, if u do not have info(either +ve or -ve) that will benefit us here, just keep mute and let this nonsence comes to an end.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Can we 4 once mind d kind of language we use on dis thread. Each one is entitled 2 his/her opinion. Not every1 can have ur mind set. Learn 2 accomodate other. What can u do if ur name is not included? So get urself engaged in sometin. If u have nothing 2 do, employ urself in community services, instead of insulting others. Are u better off than other? The answer is obvious. Keep mute if u have nothing 2 say. Takia.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
when i see the way people castigate the good NHjobbers who provide infos here (real or imagined), it baffles me a lot. You won't provide one yet won't encourage those that did. if 98% of the post here is rubbish, then why still visit and read this rubbish? If YOU don't have anything to contribute, then keep shut&off, what has happened to free will? Guys, don't be discouraged, keep the info rolling in, it's the focal point of this forum. If the infos disturbs you, then stop visiting this thread, abi na force? ptweeew! nonsense! you even no the meaning of 98%?
-
Of course he doen't know what it means, however he's 100% certain u belong to the 98% junkies. "Imagined" info pls be serious. No wonder there are over 220 pages.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@iHope, we'll see. Ask yourself, what have u contributed to this forum? less than 3 posts, i'm not surprised. that i belong to the 98% junkies, it's ur your idea, i don't mind cos it tells me the kind of person you are.
-
Unlike u I've no concrete info so I keep quiet. Hope u do the same.
FYI, I am the kind of person who only speaks when I have to.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Everytime I visit this website, I really laugh. Many people profess faith but no longer after their profession they begin to show serious doubt. Could these people really believe in God I asked myself. Or maybe they don't even know the God they claim to profess in, then I conclude. If God says something he doesn't go back on his words. He is not man that he should lie. The problems many of us have is rather than say "God let your will be done", we come here and wrap up our desires and present it as if it is from God. The truth is that NNPC job is not necessarily what God has in stock for many of us. If God has prepare it for some people they will definitely get it, it doesn't matter what happens at NNPC. "All things work for good for those who LOVE God"
On another note I found it very disturbing each time I come here and people call Nigeria all sorts of name. Nigeria is not good not necessarily because of our leaders but rather because of our attitudes. If all of develop right attitudes and do right things, we will create sutnami that will sweep all our leaders away. The corrupt leaders need corrupt followership to remain in power. They say a nation get the leaders she deserves. We all sustain our leaders in power because an average Nigerian is a corrupt person. Put him in power and he will perform worse than Abacha.
Finally for those who claim believing in God is hypocrisy, kindly hold your breath. A people without God will ultimately fail. Go into the history books and you will find plenty nations like that. And for those comparing Nigeria to Egypt and the likes, those countries are just starting what Nigerians did when we chase military away in 1993 and chose democracy. We are on a journey. It took us many years to come to this point and it is going to take some years too before we get it right - but not without all of us believing in our country. If we choose otherwise we fail. Egypt and Syria have been on it now for almost a year and I asked how far have they gone?

Thanks for that Thurllyboy. Interesting observation.
If that is all you have to ontribute can i respectfully ask that you keep that to yourself in future, as many of us on this thread seek more 'useful' information at this critical period of the recruitment cyle... sure i speak the mind of most.
regards!
