Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
The NNPC GMD, Engr. Austin Oniwon would have retired b4 ending of this month. Check today's Guardian, Kaduna Refinery Company just employed 105 youths in its operational area, to be traineed. Most of them are O'level, 2 HNDs, 1 University graduate. So, IM AFRAID OF THIS OUR NNPC RECRUITMENT, TOTALLY AFRAID.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
They are unconnected.
NOT fewer than 105 unemployed youths in Kaduna have been recruited by the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) into its Youth Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Programme (YESAP), as the management expressed commitment to equip successful trainees with other tools to facilitate their start up after the programme.
Members of management of the KRPC who flagged-off the training exercise for the new intakes at the weekend said that a total of 405 unemployed youths from the communities where the oil company is cited in the state have so far benefited from the skill acquisition programme since the commencement four years ago.
Besides, the Managing Director of KRPC, Mr. Bolanle Ayodele in an opening address, said that “in the four years of its existence, this programme has empowered over 300 youths and here is another batch of 105 selected from different parts of our host community, ready to embark on the journey of self-development and self-reliance”.
According to Ayodele, “we have increased the number of the trainees from 105 and have also engaged the services of the top class consulting organisations - National Directorate of Employment (NDE), HUSAK Consulting, Hanzy Beauty Institute, the National Agricultural Extension, Research Liaison Services (NAERLS) of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria to run the programme”.
The KRPC boss urged youths penciled for the training programme to understand that “ You have the privilege of being chosen by your communities to participate in the programme, should make the most of the rare opportunity”, pointing out that “KRPC has invested huge sums of scarce resources, time and energy and your various communities have reposed a lot of confidence in you to be in the programme.
“It is my hope that the investments will not go to waste. We have received heart-warming reports that many of the past beneficiaries of the programme are now doing well on their own”, Ayodele noted.
Meanwhile, in an earlier speech, the Manager, Public Affairs Department of the Refinery, Mallam Abdullahi Idris explained that KRPC embarked on the empowerment of the unemployed youths in the communities where the company operates as a gesture of social responsibility, noting that “this is no mean feat on the part of KRPC management considering that the present harsh economic climate is forcing many presumably buoyant organizations, to all together cancel some of their projects or at best down-size them”.
Those participating in the training programme, include 95 Senior School Certificate of Education (SSCE) holders, nine National Diploma holders, three NCE holders, two HND holders and one bachelor’s degree holder.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
While every information relating NNPC/DPR is very important to us, I think we should agree on our next line of action. Have we informed the police? if yes, good. some one promised to copy the house with such correspondence sometime this week. Who did we chose to be our spokes person? My mind tells me Bebrief. We have the lifeline now and can only act now. Some time some day, these things will be in the past. May the God of David be our helper. The greatest advantage of this protest is that it will send a far reaching signals to all Nigerian.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Thanks nnpcguy. I've always hammered on this issue of doing whatever we have to do quickly. All the people trying to meet all the conditions that have been outlined may i remind ur that even the SNG and the NLC has never put all those types of conditions on ground before embarking on peaceful protests in the past & if Nigerians are what we are know to be, i tell you that in no distant time, the zeal 4dis will be quenched and just die a natural death & we'll end up not doing anything at all. If you take a very close look at the response on this thread with regards to the willingness and support for the protest and compare the zeal as at last week with what you have at the moment then you'll understand exactly what am talking about. All the same what ever the house arrives at, am with you all d way.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Good day forumite,
I want to say a job well done to everyone who has contributed so far especially bebrief...i just want to add that we allow those that are interested in becoming the leaders for each projected protest zones declare their intentions...then other members can then liase with them to see how we can move ahead before monday...cos monday is some "hours" away...no time oooo...if we must have a good outing let's all get working immediately. thanks
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Pls. lets start working. each time we write, try to indicate the zone. like Abuja, lagos, Ph and Warri. This enable us to get closer and make our strategist unique.
LAGOS ZONE
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@bebrief please help scan and upload copies of the publication.couldn't lay my hands on national Mirror as the newspapers sold out.
ABUJA ZONE.
Is the venue still total filling station in front of NNPC?Time 8:00 AM? Thursday/Monday?
I feel though we need to inform a labour union/man at least.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Haba JA!!!!!!!!!
All dese conditions for what????
Are we going on an unemployment revolution?? Pls d purpose shld only be for NNPC deceitful recruitment.
This's bcos if we embark on a general unemployment protest, den NNPC towers shouldnt b our destination at all. The protest shld b simple but serious. -NNPC IN DECEITFUL RECRUITMENT.
No need for printed uniforms.
No need for registering with activists(unless dey want to).
No need to give NNPC notice.
No need for any election here(on d protest day we'll get a leader).
We've to look harmless but SERIOUS!
Printed t-shirts will make us look hired. We've to look for morale here in this thread. Thursday,i think, is too close. Monday's ok.
Pls this's not a rally of unemployment cos some parastatals have already recruited massively. Just hit d nail on d head- NNPC in deceitful recruitment. Chikena!
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Thanks Kafox. You've just said the same thing i said on my earlier post on this same page.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
