Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY.......PLEASE YOU MAY PRAY ALONG
O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
Who can boast of righteousness in your presence, who can say truly that he is pure in thy eyes. Lord, continually do we depart from your ways and so continually do the enemies freely deal with us as they please, because continually you have turned your back unto us.
But mercy belongs to thee O Lord, have mercy upon us even as we turn to thee this day. We have refused to hearken unto your works, we have refused to trust in you, and so our faces are confused. Lord have mercy, for only you can save us even as we turn to you today.
O Lord, our hands are become weak in stretching for that which you have freely given unto us, because the enemies have refused to release it.
They were not there when some of us studied into the nights, burnt candles and travelled over seven rivers and seven seas to take hold of that which you have blessed this land with. Ravenous wolves are they! Wicked and unjust men who only crave for their bellies and have no regard for the well being of the poor. By their injustice and wickedness, they have been plunging this great nation into darkness and poverty. How would this nation ever become great if those that painstakingly went through all the process of recruitment in NNPC, be substituted with those that never wrote or passed the test. Injustice! Injustice!! Father arise and put an end to this wickedness! 2 candidates for each senator and some number for the house of Rep members as we have heard .O Lord, if this information be true, what shall be left for those who have fought all the way through and strongly are passionate to change the fortune of this great nation. Because of the desire of these wicked men, and the resulting confusion, the employment of your people have been suspended since 2011. They dine and wine while the people groan under intense hardship. Lord arise, arise and purge this land from this kind of wickedness. You have the heart of kings in your hands.
Send your angels, let them fetch the merit list already prepared, and let them send letters out to all whose names are therein. You have stopped the sun from moving in the past. We have seen you do things that terrify men. Lord, answer by fire, our hope is in you. Amen.

Jonathan to sign 2012 budget today

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan will assent to the 2012 Appropriation Bill today, having apparently resolved his differences with the National Assembly on the matter which has delayed its signing since being passed by the legislature.
The signing of the N4.7 trillion budget will take place in the State House, at a ceremony expected to be witnessed by leaders of the National Assembly, ministers and other top officials of government.
The president had been reluctant to append his signature to the document, because of the changes made by the National Assembly to the original estimates he submitted to the lawmakers for their consideration and approval.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, had given reasons President Jonathan was yet to sign the budget, telling State House correspondents after a meeting of the National Economic Management Team that government was studying the details because of the changes made by the legislature.
She had revealed that the executive would meet with the leadership of the National Assembly to find a common ground on the areas where there might be differences.
Pressed to point out the specific areas of differences, the minister said an example was the crude oil benchmark eventually adopted by the lawmakers.
According to her, “obviously, the first one is the benchmark price that went from $70 to $72, which we have looked into. We are still ending up with fiscal deficit that is reasonable and under three per cent and reduced debt, that is okay.”
