He said many pple perform creditably @ d interview, but NNPC is cash strap, n thus cant absorb all. Now dis is d problem is: some1 who scored let say 80% 'll not b absorb n anoda with 60% will. So now it's beyond performance because d baz mark was 60%.

If you made a first class just be sure you'll get in. Going by the interview noone would say he didnt do well so I expect you did well too. This is because they are doing all they can to make you a special case, quota or no quota. See, hardwork will eventually pay and it has for you. Congratulations!

Da great Gen Al Sakabu from DPR! Good to have u here. I'l like u to throw more light to dis. Just like DPR, we have OPs, GTs n EHs. Can u explain the ratios wit which dey'r goint to be taken?

With Great Honour Απϑ due Respect, GENERAL that 350 u mentioned is questionable. You may wish to recall that NNPC recruited over 1000 candidates during the 2006 recruitment i.e the last recruitment held Απϑ u r saying that out of the over 4000 candidates that passed the aptitude test, just 350 will issued offer letter? Noooooooo come on, i believe u made an error in ur figure.

I believe if a whole NNPC, with their Corporate Headquarters, Refineries, Deports, Pump stations, other SBUs, JVs etc will recruit just 350n then DPR might end up recruiting 10 or 20 staff.

I think I agree with you on this score. The projected 350 candidates is just too small. That will amount to less than 10 percent of candidates invited for the interview. I suspect that about 1000 candidates should be employed, at least that was the figure that was bandied around when the interview was in progress. All matters will become clear to all in the fullness of time.

I didn't apply 4 d DPR thing but follow the thread on Naijahotjobs as I do 4 dis very thread cos it's very interesting. General Sakabu is really doing a great job on dat thread dat I always wish having such "informant" on dis thread. I'm sure he isn't that informed on this NNPC thingy cos he is not part of it so pardon him 4 d figure quoted cos it's 100% certain that the corporation is recruiting far more than that.

General Sakabu, u r a great guy and I wish u da best in life. I wish we(NNPC & DPR) could have the training 2geda cos I like to appreciate your effort with Palmwine and Bush Meat as I promised Oloks when we meet at the training school.

Back 2 NNPC recruitment, I know so many "Big Boyz" are trying to commit different malpractices but I'm 100% sure that "most" of them won't succeed. A large percentage of us will get this job without any 'human connection". Infact 85% of successful candidates will be on merit. It's what my mind tells me. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope 4 da best. The day is very close I beleive.

Hi y'll are doing a nice job, was told on sat 29th that the letters are ready but the training facility in worry is not yet ready that when its ready the letters will be released but i thought it may be an institution. I asked if they culd check my name or give me the number to be recruited they told me is a highly classified info by the HR and it still remains a secrete but letters are ready. But by Gods grace i believe its going to be this week and if they are recruiting only one its definetly going to be me cos matt 6:33 says seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things shall be added unto u. Se y'all in trainning/induction. Cheers

well, d info reaching me now is that our Niger delta brothers are holding NNPC to ransom, they r demanding a sharing formula of the ratio 4 :1 in d recruitment process,
which means 16 candidates frm N/delta states to 4 frm other states.The implication is that No offer letter until this issue is resolved. so far PCL has succeeded in holding tight by keeping d political vultures out of the process.

Great NNPC,I hail o...u made me believe naija is disciplined just dat we r just pretending not to.As many as d number invited and d number dat claimed to have connections,none is able to know anything happening in d corporation.I thought naija was a porous place but with ur confidential nature,i just realised its not rather we r just pretending to be porous.Once more i hail ur disciplined nature.kudos!!!

What bothers me is not when the process will be concluded rather its how many will be recruited. Lets face it the more the number of people recruited the higher our chances of succeeding. My prayer is that they recruit us all even if means concluding the process next year.

@SAKABU if DPR which is a full-fledge govt agency is recruiting 250 hw com a govt parastatal like NNPC with all her SBUs, Refineries & JVs is just recruiting 350 for GTs', OPs', EH & CH? I'm not saying it's not possible, i'm only doubting it's authencity!

Which should come first if i may ask,is it t fare or offer letters? I believe once we receive our t fare den we know dat d recruitment process is still in course. I so much anticipate d offer letters but common sense tells me t-fare first. GOD please bring dis process to an expected end,d waiting is killing!

i just put a call back to special assistant to gmd nnpc and ask him once more, how many pple were agreed for the recruitment??? He told me ealier it was 450 initially but scaled down officially to 350 as he told last week friday!!! He said why the figure was so low was that in real sense they are not even in need of new staffs because of the present condition of nnpc with no much work to do until after pib was passed and implemented, which he says he sees a far more bigger recruitment around 2014!!!!...cool ur nerves as d 350 is officially but i cannot say how many many wil be unofficially recruited!

I feel 1500 - 2000 would be better.......about 1000 were employed in 2006....... @least, it would give us more chances of making it! I av made it though

Ranking was completed about a two weeks ago. It was d modality 4 selection as regards d no_ per state was delaying all dis while. I must d niger/delta states hav upper hand in it. But one I tell U is that all GT n OP is based on merit. It was on EH n CE that PCL n d Minister soft pedalled 4 nnpc top mgt. Once again congrats 2 those that made it.

however, femi adewunmi, the special duties adviser would not tell you that the company is not in need of staff.
NNPC is in dire need of staff. the recruitment process would be concluded.
