God is about to ease the tension in the house by increasing the number of hopefuls. By October this year so many people will be called for interview and before December 31st,the long awaited 2nd batch will be released. Alots of people will smile by December. PATIENCE & PRAYER is what we need. Let us not draw the hands of the clock near for the time of our celebration is few months ahead.
Atomicity, are u suggesting that the second batch from 2010 recruitment will be resuming after the completion of the ongoing recruitment process? Please where did u get this info? 'cos Terraco (the key informant of this thread) says likely next week. Abeg which one we want believe?
I have said b4 about the atomicity's belief. The 2nd batch of 2010 recruitment be released by God's grace. The present recruitment advert is separate from that of 2010 unless NNPC is planning to combine the already made 2nd batch with the successful candidates in 2012 advert which I doubt.

I know for sure that there's politics behind the new advert which came out shortly after the induction of 1st batch.This is very unusual .Is it to console the people who wouldn't make the 2010 list afterall or NNPC truly wants to increase its workforce either with PIB or without PIB by adding 2nd batch with successful ones in 2012? The reason for the 2nd ,waiting or supplementary might be to fill the rejected offers.
bb1 don,t mind atomicity bcos 2nd batch is along with 1st batch, so 2nd must be released this week or it will not pass next week, bcos 1st batch are already in training as of today, and training is not what u do in batches bcos it is very capital intensive, the more the people the better for the corporation
Pls people should confirm this atomicity's info to know the authencity of his info.

@Vin20,let's take it easy on atomicity. The guy is probably telling us what can be described as " to the best of his knowledge". Let us encourage him, if he's sure about december, december is just around the corner, and besides, good things come to those who wait.
I think its economical for NNPC to have larger number of trainees at training for the task ahead.The documentation for next batch will be done fast fast so as to go and join their colleagues at training, the release of letters might come this week or highest next week to make things easier.Atomicity might be speaking by his own faith.

Almost everybody is anxious of what comes next in the 2010 recruitment which has been on for roughly 2 years now. My post most times do not make sense to most hopefuls because of their anxiousness to get employed in NNPC. Each time I say there is an interview coming up in october for those that has lost hope completely they think I am speaking arab. They fail to understand that the ways of men are never the ways of GOD. TERRACO is right but funny enough he dosen't know the content of the letters that was been released in heaven. This recruitment process will end in december this year. An interview was conducted in heaven and so many people were successful. The successful candidates were added to those that made it in the 1st batch but are yet to receive their employment letters which make up the 2nd batch list. This 2nd batch list shall be far more than what we saw in 1st batch. By october this year, so many people will believe in GOD through this revelation.
I cnt stop laughing mehn. Interview again after the ones some pple had last year. December wen d training must hv gone like 3months far? *smh*

It's been a while I checked on the situation of things here. Inasmuch as it is a good thing to hope and pray, we shouldn't forget that one very important antecedent is to work hard too. NNPC practically put most of our lives on hold for 2 years. No one really could advance his studies because you had no idea when you would be called. From December 2010 till July 2012, one could've gotten an M.Sc, or some form of academic advancement. We all heard how most of those who were called possess 2 or even 3 M.Scs. Some of us I'm sure were fresh out of NYSC as at March last year and as such might not really be able to compete in a nation where your B.Sc is gradually becoming as useless as your WAEC. I want to suggest candidly that we seize the opportunity of the upcoming academic year to get an M.Sc. Let's be realistic, it makes no sense sitting and waiting for a 2nd list that will be way smaller than the first. There is every chance a lot of us will not make it. And those of us who just commenced training I gather will be there for 8 months at least. NNPC will not call anyone from this new recruitment drive till these 'students' graduate. It is a fact. I suggest we apply in this new recruitment drive, and use that waiting period and go back to school. Go and get an M.Sc in environmental science or something. Combine it with relevant certifications along the way, and thank me after one year for there is no way you will not be better equipped and more qualified for what you have applied for. Just my thoughts.
Nice one Qed. I'm doing my msc & also patiently waiting. Once its released, i'w suspend my thesis until after training. Having said that, its good we know that having 4masters isnt wat qualify u for the nnpc appointment. The requirement is still 2.1 or 2.2 with masters. Its ur performance in test & interview, accompanied by state cut off that counts. Not removing favour out of the equation. I believe many here are working, some doing their msc & others are applying as well. Lets keep doing our business. All what i know is that the 2nd bacth is very real & when it comes out, i'w be in. I have followed this thread silently as I did not apply to NNPC for the recently concluded exercise.
My two cents is pls don't limit God - He's able to do much more than NNPC. I have 2 friends who resumed at their respective offices on Monday in different towns. They both HATE the offices and are starting to question if they made the right decision to leave their multi-national jobs (though not high paying but very well structured) for NNPC. I spent part of yesterday encouraging and saying God always has a plan.
@QED, your analogy just maybe might be right in some cases. Both of them have MSc.

My own suggestion is, can we get together and form a political association after, I repeat AFTER THE SECOND BATCH and our terget should be the election in 2015 I thinK we will have a chance to make an inpact. Honestly, I don't realy understand atomicity well bcos this new advert closes 18Oct,2012 if not extended (six weeks from date of publication),what of time to shorlist for Test (at least 1 month), time to conduct Interview (at least 1month).Anyway, he might be speaking by his faith which we can't dispute bcos if anybody said last year interview would span till Q3, 2012 I would believe bcos some of our sources would never tell the date for release but they confirmed that the recruitment was not cancelled which we saw no matter the level of its integrity, another batch would be called BUT the HR might not tell them exact time except who has a close contact.

I know 2nd batch must come bcos i know about 3 persons that have strong link with people working in nnpc, one candidate or hopefull the husband is working in nnpc and a senior staff,
the second person or hopefull the senior brother is in the GMD,s office and equally a senior staff in M5 cadre,
the 3rd person or hopefull equally has a brother in nnpc and also a senior staff
although more importantly God has confirmed it
