I have being following this thread keenly for quite a while now and would not hesitate to express my joy over what I think is a great hope for this country-we still have got very great minds,I have seen them in this forum. These are people I know that are capable of leaving indelible marks on the sands of times with NNPC or not. I have been praying, and recently I've got very strong feelings that the letters will come so surprisingly and certainly not beyond March 2012.Everyon whose mind has been to make a change and get turn things around when employed, rejoice, you must have your letters.Others, repent and change your paradigm.

This is going to be complicated. We have on one hand, lawmakers who may mean well but who may just be pushing for a settlement to let this go away; and on the other, a horde of corrupt civil servants who really should be shown the door, and prosecuted afterwards. Lets hope this works all to our good.
The day is soon... pls who has details on the outcome of saturday's board meeting? i believe they gave the go ahead... even if the house likes let them recommend the suspension, sack or even arrest of the entire nnpc leadership, it will not fly becos these people have just been there for less than a year to the january... moreover wat was the role of the house committee overseeing the activities of the oil and gas sector since the beginning, were they not aware of what was going on? hw many members of that house committee were interviewed during this public hearing... just within the house alone that committee can get all the information it needs. Lets stop all this fingerpointing and deal with the problems. once the PIB is passed, and approved, nigerians will no lnger bear the burden of corruption in the oil and gas... if they remain corrupt they will destroy the company... not the country, if they decide to uphold a proper corporate culture, the NNPC or whatever it will be called then stands the chance of becoming one of the biggest and indeed greatest oil coys in the world. after all there is no country in the world where u can just loose over a thrillion naira (abt 10 billion dollars) and still shake it off as if nothing happened... except it has access to sovereign funds. remove the access to sovereign funds and the NNPC will sort itself out. simple.
If not that top management staff candidate,s have resumed since july august, i strongly believe that by now one of them would have posted the out come of the board meeting, however i strongly believe that they shd have given go ahead to GED to print the letter,s out.
