Many people Lost the OP opportunity because the presented their higher qualifications during the interview, I advise you to wait till probably a year or two after you have settled into the organisation before you present your degree, or better still gather enough experience and use your degree + experience to apply in another organisation.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
But the figures from Daily Trust differs from the one a guy posted when the 1st batch started coming out he posted FT(Engrng)=207, GT(non-engr)=348, OP=100, EH=325 nd above while Daily Trust said GT=348, OP=116,EH=132. We shall see that after 2nd batch, NNPC would make the whole list TOTALY PUBLIC, our prayers is that God count us worth in next batch.See u up.

BB1, I am begining to fear this forum. It is correct , in fact some correctly quoted these figures which I reposted. There might be a second after all. People are impatient and jumping the gun. Delay is not denial. Quote:

The figures as stated by Daily Trust is about the correct one but I believe some alterations with respect to the number of successful candidates from Bayelsa was carried out via a downward review whether in good faith or in deceit coz I was reliably informed it was slightly above 30. More is still to come from these revelations coz we have presented our case to the Almighty. I am an aggrieved hopeful in EH category & justice must be served!!!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Thank you for ur right thinking. I am strongly appealing to our fellows, any geo-political zone u are from, who are yet to be called to be patient for the 2nd batch. I TOTALY(100%) believe God that another list would be launched out, then the list would be made public, pasted bcos u don't expect NNPC to make public the list that all the successful candidates have not been called. Its not possible that an EH would not come any state, it mightn't be technical but non-technical position. We shall what we are saying by God's grace.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
There are people who have real insider information in this forum. Fear them. You are more likely to get a real info from your school mate in HR than a big uncle who is a GGM in one division. Drivers and secretaries in every organisation know a lot.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I can remember somewhere around march when solobee posted that two of his sources confirmed his name on the list. He even predicted a day in march when the list will be released. The same solobee stated very accurately the number of candidates recruited on saturday (which is being corroborated by the news report). We all know that the same solobee is still waiting for his letter at the moment. If solobee has been right all along, I think some questions need to be asked...
My fingers are still crossed

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Apart from the one from solobe45's figures, someone posted larger number GT(engr)=207, Gt(non-engr)=348, OP=100, EH=325 nd above. I ve 4gotten the guy and we don't know where he got his figures.

But in that news ,NNPC's GGM HR wasn't reported to hear his words. To me , there is no way any state wouldn't have at least EH no matter their performance as FCC's staff had said.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
As some people are saying NigerDelta people get oil nd gas experience, 4get that one , some people also from South west had oil nd gas experience who are yet to be called.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Eventhough am not putting too much hope on d 2nd batch, but i must say that Terraco is by far the most reliable informant here.
He posted a week b4 d release of d letas and many informants hv failed spectacularly that he "will neva post on this forum again if letas were not released d ffg wk" and d letas came that 100%.
He also d first to post d exact figures given by Daily Trust b4 solobe45 corroborated.
I think pple should kip faith in his 2nd thingy till further notice.
NB. There is nothing in dat publication to show that daily trust obtained d list OFFICIALLY from nnpc. Hence, d anxiety of some pple here about d 2nd batch as a result is hasty.
SHALOM.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
solobee45, Terraco , pls post something here. My own source continues saying that another batch would be released but didn't give the date.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I have noticed many people here like to hear negative news than positive. Hope is very important, many have committed sucides only for the thing they commited suicide for to appear. Pls hear ...I am taken, I am a staff.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
this news may put them on their toes and this will make them release the second list just as the protest we did forced them to release the first list. what do you think?
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Teraco, any info? I believe in ur posts. God bless u and others.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
As for me,I am still praying.
I like Terraco & bb1 but I want a miracle far beyond 2nd batch.
So help me God.
Amen!

If they didn't invite people from those northern states, you would still complain. So if a Bayelsan EH candidate has more credentials than his/her Kano counterpart, the Kano person should be given the job? Hypocrisy. If you want to see the Federal Character enforced, you should start with the ownership of oil blocks.
In my opinion, this NNPC recruitment is the fairest I have heard of in this country.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
No argument on this NNPC recruitment, the recruitment will be fair till the end of the next batch will be released, people should just take patience, didn't we know the travails we faced b 1st batch was released. As we know that Finance Minister is being challenged to release funds for MDAs, did we know the little funds NNPC is what NNPC wants to use fro the 1st batch, I guess as more funds is released more candidates will be called, I guess. But, forget it, another batch will be launched out soon but my reliable source at Towers didn't say the date.Few people know about the next batch but thank God many forumites have collaborated it on this forum.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
NAFDAC published its new intakes for public on its website so why NNPC could not? even it doesn't publish it on dailies, websites, at least it would be available for its staff at the Towers but how many NNPC staff even have access to the list now, go there ask them. But by the time the remaining candidates are called, in fact NNPC HR may want to publish it dailies but we're not even concerning with that until 2nd batch is released.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@Ihustle: your analysis was not logical the selection was based on state qouta system each state has a specific number of slots given to it so the candidates from that state that were called competes for those slots, I may agree with the fact that some states will get slots more than the others but for some states to have none at all is unjustifiable.

So if a state has no suitably qualified person for a position, they should select a meruwa from that state? Your analysis is indeeed logical!
If you want to talk about justice, there's a lot to talk about. And I think we can start with the ownership of oil blocks.

You are not suitably qualified to state who is qualified & who isn't except, of course you, have the actual details of the interview statistics & result on a per-state basis. How on earth can you categorically state that none of either Kano, Kaduna or Sokoto states have a qualified candidate to fill any slot for any of the advertised EH cadre. Maybe you might have been correct if it was still in the 60s but that opinion is absurd in view of present realities.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
No argument at all, No argument at all, there is no way EH would not be from any state, it was NNPC that did that way, it would have released everything together rather than batches. I tell you those aggrieved states will have thier people in the 2nd release, u will SEE.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Even if those states did not have qualified people 4 technical positions, so they would not have for non-technical positions, I think some people just focus one direction, no rethinking. It's not possible @all that a state wouldn't have 1EH no matter the case. They will come out with the next batch, though it might be much as other regions. Please and Please, no argument here @ll.
-
why jump to conclusions? If a state was shortchanged in EH category, they may be balanced in GT and OP. So wait till you see the final list. Moreover, i agree totally that bayelsans before now have been short changed. Previous nnpc recruitments have favored the north and no other region has complained. If this is being done to right the part wrongs so be it. I am not from Bayelsa, only trying to say the truth.

In that case, it is irrational to hold brief for the NNPC with unrealistic assumptions or permutations.

The only problem I have with this post is that it is not based on verifiable facts & can therefore not be the truth.
