Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
We need to run our refineries, people like surj, that are still young. 1,000 of you should be sent to Japan or Indian and left for 2 years to practicalise all the theortical transport phenomenum, separation processes, process control, optimization, design, thermodynamics, analysis, instrumentation, technology, etc. Japan has no oil but has 22 refineries, India has no oil but has the biggest refinery in the world that processes 1M Barrels/day. Here we have all the crude of very high grade, but import from Venezuela soon from Niger...what is wrong ...

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
There's one question yet unanswered: how many were employed? How many GT, OP and EH? If we bliv it is over, can dis thread be closed? Closing it is better than having clowns and conflicting jokes and lies. One more question: is the recruitment still on or not?
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Is better your hope is kept alive when hope is lost suicide is imminent. You need it , everyone needs it. whether fake info or not it gives hope. This is why suicide rate is low in Naija. We keep hope alive, we believe everything from so called men of God to to our Politicians. By hoping bigger things can spring up, you can never tell. Quote:

@kalokalo,just read ur post but am confused about the emergence of NOC from NNPC which you said may not make them retain all their staff.Pls does this suggest job insecurity in NNPC for the new intakes?Because am comfortable in the force that i am especially with my cadre but wants to resign and join NNPC just because i want to practise my discipline&be with my family unlike the frequent transfer found in the force in recent times due to the insecurity in the country.pls i need your advice!
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@ Engr ebiye, there will be staff shake off as soon as NOC emerge from NNPC.however,it will not affect evrybodi.almost all PPMC staff will have to go.at this point,i cant tell you what to do.just pray and commit any decision you choose to take in God's able hands.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@ Kalokalo, The 223-page doc is still a Bill? Not only NOC will emerge from NNPC. Their will be Asset Mgt Company to handle the existing5 JVs or so , NNPC has major shares in the JVs.. Then finally refer to section 256 not 258 as quoted in the table of contents. On the issue of staff transition.
I wonder why PPMC will no go, does not mean no more transportation of crude/refined oil thru pipelines again and all the depots will be closed. The people that should fear more are staff of PPPRA and PEF, under deregulated regime they are no longer needed in the downstream.
I am not a hopeful, but I want to encourage everyone who has made it to go. If PIB goes well NNPC will be like the Aramcos, Petrobras and Petronas.Except where one does not want to work or apply himself to carry on biz as usual.
-
They should pay our transport allowance. I am so pissed off that I spent almost 100k to fly into Abuja, stay in an hotel for 2days and no one is talking about making refunds to us. It is horrible and a great injustice. This needs to be redressed.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
There needs to be a revolution in this country where everyone will be held to account for their bad deeds.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Gaddeeeeem. We need the type of revolution that is shaking the arab world here and fast too. I am tired of being in a society where nothing works.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Not one person wil lose job.ppmc staff stil very usuful to d new noc.remenber dat only 30% of d equity dat wil be sold. It stil remain a ful federal parastatal.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@modsquad,dat $15M mak me swallow siliva.if i get dat 1,ahaaaa.i wan shout.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
This is how it is: 347Gts 132Ehs &116 Ops are those they have called. 2690Gts 1117Ehs 930 Ops did the interview. May God hear our prayers & release more letters in Jesus name. Amen
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@Adu, God bless you once again as always.People should take time to read the Bill , its on thisday, vangaurd websites, the real copy. In fact PPMC will need more staff because pipelines and depot remain the best option for oil transport, not tankers filling the whole Apapa and disturbing everybody. In fact PIB will create jobs. The only people that should fear are PPPRA and PEF which under deregulated regime, they have no function, yet the Bill says they will be re-absord. There are aboout 9 bodies. DPR will be almost like 2 now , Upstream Petroleum Inspectorate (old DPR) and Downstream regulatory Agency, which might absorb PPPRA people, there is a nre Technical Bureau to handle the frontiers and other technical matters. The Bill still has a long way to go before becoming law. Our law makers need to read and understand it, call experts, public hearing , 1st reading, lobbying by IOCs, as their worry is that it should be retroactive that is the fiscal regimes on the existing contracts/licenses should run out first. A long way to go.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
there is another tecnical Bureau. IOCs fear is that it should not be retroactive.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
if this is true , then obviously there will be a second batch or a new recruitment soon. 347+132+116 =595 Quote:

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
My brother, did u confirm that all this figure had been called or some still remains? My own source at NNPC Towers is still telling me that another batch is coming out but he didn't say the specific date. Or could we say they are deceiving us or what, bcos the is yet to be clear to us.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
As we know that some special candidates must have been employed b4 they started calling the general people, but notwithstanding our faith in God will not fail us bcos we also did well in test and interviews and I totally have a strong conviction that more letters shall roll out.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
This country, getting a job is a problem, resigning also a problem. God help us.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
If 930 candidates were called for interview, then out of evry 10 candidates, six shuld be called considering the operations involved in NNPC.that 116 were called is a situation no one can explain. Let us hope for the best

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Please those scaring people of loosing their jobs at nnpc, take ur time and read the PIB very well! Its full of transfer of service from an existing SUB to the new ones created! There isn't a place where it was stated that you'l loose ur job! Please stop scaring and decieving people. Nigerians should learn how to read things themselves so no one decieves you! We are not in the old ages where in the village its only one man that knows how to read! Haba!
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
For your information, PIB is even making NNPC job more challenging, meaning more fun and more allowances! Except for those that don't see their jobs as fun! The lazy ones I mean
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I urge everyone that wasn't called to move on and stop analysing the possibility of 2nd,3rd and 4th batch.NNPC can't absorb everyone, and it doesn't mean its the best place to be.
I tink we should focus on career development against the next advert they might do,and avoid giving ourselves unecessary HBP.
