@Surj, I have been on that road. A day, last day before training. I was so bored and could not concentrate that day. All my guys had been invited 2 weeks prior to the training. I picked the phone and called the HR, the girl told me to come and collect my letter, ah ah "we have been looking for you"
So Surj, only believe. I did not tell you story, yours truly experienced this.

I was just telling Surj , how I felt too when I was on that road. After everything and seeing Tony Elumelu back then and confirming from the HR girl coordinating it that I made it, letter no gree come O, all my guys I go with receive except me as seeing Tony then was a formality. I go, they say my name no dey again. I was down , but on the eve of the training I said, let me call this girl in HR that has been calling us, then I no even get GSM it was still a new thing, na my neigbhour dem they call me thru am for interview. I was thinking and I concluded with the following statements:
1 NNPC did their last recruitment in 2006.they are supposed to recruit even more than the number in 2006(over 1000).
2.from the info gathered so far,the number recruited is far lower than 1000.
3.either more list will soon be released or PIB has cause them to recruit very few this tym in other not to completly cancelled the recruitment.do not forget that NNPC will become a new establishment,hence they did not want to pack people since evrytin about them will soon change.if they recruit more,and nnpc becomes NOC,they wont be able to retain all the staff(NOC will definately be smaller than NNPC since PPMC will merge with PPPRA and DPR,and NGC will stand alone)
4.the issue of second batch may be a mirage created by NNPC itself just to avoid heavy pressure from politicians who submited names and are disapointed already.(my source told me of this second batch issue two days after the letters were released.if you recal,i posted that there is an info i would like to keep to myself). I am also praying for the release of this batch.i am not doin anytin presently and life has been very dificult.nevertheless,we shuld prepare our minds to accept anytin that comes.
my analysis is subject to criticism,either negativ or positiv.God help us all.good mornin guys.
If you look at the number of operators recruited,you will be forced to agree with me.100 as against 600 in 2006,and this category is more needed.

Where is faith here? There is no correlation between faith and anxiety. I strongly share the concerns which most of us who are still waiting for their letters share and its been my earnest prayers that many more get their letters. But anxiety will do us no good.It blocks the flow of productivity,creativity and the genius in us all,making us completely blind to opportunities that daily cross our path.Even prayers at this moment may not be easy at all,cos we are all freaked up. With or without NNPC,we can achieve greatness....God's wisdom works and that wisdom is all we need now. Let's dump this NNPC stuff at God's feet,and move on. If NNPC comes back for us,then what a pleasant surprise. Shalom!
