Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat. A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?" The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way. "I wrote: 'Today is a beautiful day; but I cannot see it.'"Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign reminded people how fortunate they were to have their sight. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective? Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear. It's a beautiful thing to see a person smiling. But even more beautiful is knowing that you are the reason for the smile!Faith is not about everything turning out OK. Faith is about being OK no matter how things turn out. If you appreciate this message, please share. You may touch someone's heart today and forever. Have a beautiful Sunday!

Frontpanel, is not fair
I wiish everyone here a blissful week ahead. What is ours will surely come.. We don't have to be overpatronizing about it

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Pls go and read PIB very well , its is available for public now, its just NA to pass it to law after FEC had approved it. NNPC is unbundled and in the next 2 years it will be listed in NSE. Corruption will be minimised. PIB would bring about new companies with commercialization from NNPC. National Oil Company Ltd, National Gas Company, Asset Management etc are new companies. We must appreciate the efforts of Min of Pet f and President Jonathan for taking the giant steps in Nigerian oil and gas.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
PIB is the solution to NNPC problem , now NNPC would be commercial viable as GMD had said its first speech, no more redunndancy at NNPC, NNPC must work for itself. B4 NNPC just dey do Joint Ventures, Joint Ventures. let NNPC do its our exploration , production, refineries, we shall see how Nigeria will turn to. Many candidates would be called in last recruitment, the first set in smaller fraction, many letters are coming out. Get ur right info.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Its now Nigerian leaders know what to do with our oil and gas, there aere millions of opportunities Nigerian govt would have derived from oil for national devpt. Kudos to Diezaini and Jonathan's led-admin fro taking giant steps in putting PIB out. People would be graduating from Engineering school, the jobs would be ready for them if PIB is justly implemented to the core in the next years to come. NOC would be competing with foreign oiul companies. All those rubbish they are doing in nigerian oil and gas, PIB will address it.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
When we were saying another set of letters are coming out , people here are saying this and that, with the launch of PIB, many candidates were shortlisted for the jobs but some were called first , others are coming out soon, go and confirm, a reliable source at NNPC Abuja told me. In fact, old NNPC staff, the new ones and others that are coming out would be distributed to new companies emerging from phasing-out NNPC.Arrangements are being made now.No one would loose job but allowance might not be like b4.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@DivineEnigma you have spoken so well and has corvered almost every aspect of this whole struggle. It also shoked me when i saw the turnout of people showing curiousity as to whether or not their letters will be obtained. Its a pitty that some people will leave thier destiny hanging in the hands of the few who physically comfront thier own curiousity and think that they are smarter. The truth is that, those persons will continue to be demoralized, lavishing in what i call "Self inflicting Emotional & Psychological trauma"(SIEPT) due to the fear of the unknown while the courageous few will rest thier case with crossed legs and just wait for events to unfold. Even N1,000 contribution was a challenge for some hopefuls.....it's shocking, as no one on this thread, who is true and sincere to himself can tell us that that amount is impossible to achieve.
Nonetheless, i have also consulted some persons in DPR who told me that as a fallout of the memo that was sent by PENGASON to Madam's office itemizing and querrying some grey areas in the activities of the parastatal which needs to be attended to urgently(inclusive of the completion of this recruitment), that an emergency meeting was swiftly called for by the MPR which has been held before the weekend. The outcome of that meeting will be known by this week through some of our reliable sources, so my fellow hopefuls, as the saying goes, we should not put the cart before the horse. As we follow up on the events we will keep praying to Almighty God that this process is concluded soonest so that we can equally dance to the alter like our NNPC hopefuls, but at this moment let us keep our fingers crossed and wait for some feelers this week to be sure of what our action plan should be afterwards. May God hear our prayers and let our prayers come unto him, IJN.
Please where is @umze? we need your consoling feelers too

Are you saying PIB will be a positive way forward for the nation. What about job security and allowances? will it be better than now or remains the same as now?

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Dear hopefuls, GOD is not a man that HE should lie neither is HE son of man that HE should repent of HIS word. Has HE said a thing, will HE not do it? Rejoice because your expectations shall not be cut-off in HIS own time.if you believe it can i hear your loudest AMEN

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
If our leaders are realy sincerely with PIB implementation, it would bring sucour to the nation and also create a lot of job opportunities. Again, we must appreciate the MPR, Jonathan govt for taking the step . Many positive changes are expected to come out PIB, oil and gas corruption would be reduced.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
a dramatic change is coming upon the NNPC for better.
there would never be corruption, inefficiency and fraud ever...
recruitment is still on going.....
letters are still due, as states catchment has to be completed.
many people will not take the offers, especially in the experienced hires, due to the poor pay.
medical and security clearance would definitely throw some guys out.
the coast is still very clear.....stay close to your phones

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
the security issues would touch areas of academic and professional claims. your school records too.ie..if you were a cultist or had exam malpractices issues in school.in 2006, many were sent out of training for even altering dates on their results.it has nothing to do with fundarmentalist abi fanatic nonsense.its purely hr procedure.....many also would not pick the offer..i know some....your state catchment must be completed Quote:

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@Jesus Army. Thanks for your guidance. I made a mistake while I was filling my current salary and allowances section in the form we filled for philips consulting. The mistake is about the allowances (I wrote a slightly different percentage of my ABS as my leave and quarterly bonus) though annual and monthly salary were accurate. Every other thing - academic and professional claims are accurate. Hope it won't affect security clearance *justthinkingaloud*
