It's either these guyz(NNPC) plan rolling out more letters later especially for Operators or they deliberately chose 2 recruit few(100-as earlier informed by someone on dis thread) Operators this time.
I just finished speaking with a friend dat works at Warri Refinery on dis process and all he said was dat I should b patient dat they MIGHT still send more letters cos some things(which he didn't say much about) are going at the Towers at the moment. He said they had 1000 intakes (600 Operators with 400 others(GTs and the rest)) during his set in 2006(last successful NNPC recruitment) so I keep wondering why they had 2 do dis little figure dis time around despite cancelling the 2008 recruitment exercise.

One thing i have noticed is that even if Jesus Christ comes down & say there is anoda list, many will not believe. I know its not easy but pls dont give up. Some states had 4 Gt, & u think that is all? Most of u calling that number u displayed, didnt ask him 1 questions: How many people made the list he has? At least from there u would know weda that was all or not? I am sure of where i get my information from. There is anoda batch. What i'm trying to get is the day they will start calling the next batch. Peace like a river upon every weary heart!!
@ Terraco, i think you are correct o. Some may say i want to console myself, but when i called the guy, he did not find my name and said the list he has has only Mechanical engineers from my state, so where are the rest. Or are you saying its only engineers that were employed as EH from my state?

Why is he not picking now
Thing is, given they haven't recruited in more than half a decade and factoring in the fact that people willingly leave them for greener pastures and retirement, there is no sane way they will conduct a recruitment exercise now only to take 1000 people. They are grossly understaffed. Yes, they sneak in people every now and then but it isn't enough to handle the workload available. Remember too that they will be needing more hands given they have decided to revive that sector. If roughly 5000 made it to the interview, they may well absorb a very high percentage of that, but it won't be all at once. More engineers were summoned in this call. It should be an indication that they are not done. Doesn't mean they don't need the rest. Means its not yet your time. There will be another batch (I am not sure of 'batches') and it will be wise to just focus on what you're doing now and be patient. You've waited for almost 2 years since this journey started, another 6 months or so (estimation, not fact) wouldn't hurt. Shove the distraction of this past week and concentrate, before you even lose the job you have at hand. Noone wants that now abi?

I just got my own letter (GT) delivered this morning. I am however currently pursuing my MSc which I am billed to finish by September this year. I need some form of advice as resumption date is set for 6th of August.

I left room #29, 9th floor of block C in the NNPC towers about 30 minutes ago to confirm if my name is on the list, before leaving the room, I inquired for a benefit of doubt and was told categorically that there is no other batch from this recruitment exercise apart from the one already released. However, I was told that they will advertise again very soon. The guys in the office were quite nice and friendly so, I want to believe they told me the truth. I will therefore not advise anyone to keep hoping for any other batch, but what I saw suggested to me that some letters may be out there undelivered because, I had to point out to the guy that my address was mistakenly swapped with that of the hopeful before my name and he said that he fears such mistake may he affected a number of people. PEACE!!!
Its the logical thing to do. Get back and do what you can. Find out your new unit and explain to the boss. He's a human being, he has to understand. Just make sure by October you are back on sit. Inform your handler in school that you may have to do some of the things in the end game of your M.Sc by proxy, while you do your documentation et al. Congratulations though.
Just confirmed no mail has been sent to Akwa Ibom state. The purported 3 dispatched from DHL was rather from IBTC and not NNPC. Whats happening?
@Obogho: This is not true. There is definitely another batch; was d guy a management staff? From a reliable source, more than double the 1st batch will be released soon.
