@nne_mak: this is a very nice post on one of the most entertaining thread I've ever followed.
Back in those days, nne_mark's husband picks up a mirror lying in the field, but never having seen one before, does not know what it is. When he looks at it, he is shocked and scared because the face he sees looks just like his dead father, who he misses very much. Every time he gets sad and misses his father, he looks into the mirror and cries his eyes out. his wife nne_mark sees this from time to time and wonders what is going on until one day she grabs the mirror from him. She looks in the mirror and sees the ugliest woman she has ever seen in her life and smacks her husband head with the mirrow screaming: "You dog, Is it this ugly old mistress you are crying over? Why are u doing this to me..
@ABC123
L̳̿☺ː̗̀(=)))ː̖́☺L̳̿. At lest nne_mak came last in a contest ur mum came 1st
The most Ugly creature in d world!!!!!
That's the 100 crown from d same compition that ur family has always won!!!
Bravo!!!!!
Many have keep criticizing this ssSgy, ABC123 and others, but going through their comments logically, one can take advantage of the parts necessary and leave they silly one if any, without responding to them. House we need to work out a modality to realize more money for our publication. That should be our aim now before the new NNPC management takes decision about the recruitment. The publication will act as reference point and any decision to be taken will consider the possible responses. @Bebrief: Pls update the house.
I keep laughing at some very creative jokes in this forum, great job! But I don't know why some of us give some very undeserving homo sapiens the pleasure of responding to their worthless posts. May we learn to enjoy and ignore!
U pple don turn this house to one of laughter and commotion. Abeg make una no laugh or fight and forget why we dey here o. Cheers.
- New PIB ready in two weeks
The revised Petroleum Industry Bill has been submitted to the President
ARTICLE | JUNE 30, 2012 - 3:59AM | BY ELIZABETH EMBU
http://dailytimes.com.ng/sites/defau.../400xY/PIB.jpg
President Goodluck Jonathan, has directed that the revised draft of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) be ready for submission to the National Assembly in the next fourteen days (14days).
This is even as the Special Taskforce on the Review of the Petroleum Industry Bill and the Petroleum Industry Bill Technical Committee yesterday submitted their reports to the President and other stakeholders.
Speaking to journalists at the Presidential villa after the draft bill was presented to the President, the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Alisson-Madueke, said the revised draft which is a product of a 50 year effort, is expected to be discussed first at the next Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
"We will go forward now as directed and prepare for the presentation to the Federal Executive Council, my assumption therefore is that within the next 10 to 14 days, it will be in their hands but again that will be at the pleasure of Mr. President.
"Ours is to present it and review it with government stakeholders as it is done for every bill that is done for the government to present.
"This bill has been 50 years in the making, it has taken a long time. It went through the entire gamut of the sixth session of the National Assembly and it did not get promulgated into law. In agreement with the seventh assembly, we took it back and completely reviewed it again.
"This is not a small bill, it is a critical bill for this country and for our oil and gas sector, therefore at this point, government will do the final review and put it in front of the FEC for approval; part of that process is that it will go through the Attorney-General office. Nigerians should understand that we have been in a hurry for a long time to put this bill out but we will try to ensure that by the time it enters the National Assembly, we are very comfortable with it and we are putting forward a bill that we believe the oil and gas sector can stand on and can grow on for many years to come in this country."
On what makes the new bill different compared to the former one, she said "the teams have reconfigured the various sections. The fiscal regimes used are so much different. The manner and templates for various calculations have been looked at differently and other fiscal areas.
"The issue of domestic gas and fiscal regime for domestic gas have been looked at robustly. The issue of the reconfiguration of the NNPC to ensure that going forward, it becomes the commercial entity that it is supposed to be and we can actually grow a first rate national oil company that over the years will grow to compete with other national oil companies of the likes of Petronas, Petrobras etc.
" All these have been looked at. The administrative roles and some of the others have also been looked at. The intention to ensure that going forward, the Ministry of Petroleum Resources is actually a professionally run ministry and that it engages professionals in the oil and gas sector to work within the ministry which is not the case at all now.
"We have professionals now, but they are along the administrative line. We want to ensure that like other agencies of government, there are professionals in the ministry itself so that the ministry is not dependant solely on its technical status."
Speaking further on the bill, she said it took the committees about six months because of the extensive revision of the bill that has been done.
" A lot of details have gone into it; we have looked at the fiscal regime, we have looked at the reconfiguration of the NNPC to ensure that going forward, it becomes the commercial entity it should have been all along. We have also looked at other administrative roles within the gamut of the sector as well.
" I think that the teams have done a very good job; we are very pleased."
Mr. President she also said has directed the Ministry of Petroleum along with relevant government stakeholders to do the final overview and prepare it for presentation to the Federal Executive Council.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) new Group Managing Director, Andrew Yakubu who also spoke to journalists, said the new management team of NNPC will ensure transparency in its dealings as a way of correcting people's perceptions about the corporation.
He noted that workers of the corporation are dedicated to service, adding that there were areas that needed improvement.
"NNPC staff is dedicated to service, they are professional, and there are areas of improvement that we can bring to bear.
"You will agree with me that in the recent past, we have had quite a number of challenges; a lot of eyes are on us on the way we do our business. Those criticisms have been taken on board, my new management will plough them back into the system, we will review our processes and we will reposition NNPC for growth."
He noted that NNPC "is the mainstay of the nation’s economy and so it must be repositioned for better service; adding further that the corporation must be repositioned" to support the economy."
He said the new management team " will work very hard to work with the Nigerian public, all the stakeholders. We shall be transparent and responsible. We will work towards changing the perception."
He described his appointment and that of other members of the management team "as a call to service."
On the PIB Bill
He said "The PIB Bill is supposed to cut across the oil and gas industry. NNPC as a national oil company is a component of that bill. What we will do is to make our own input. Every country will want to grow their asset base, grow their expertise and grow the various key components that will enable them grow in terms of asset and expertise. We will make our own inputs into all those elements to ensure that they are properly captured".
On how the new management intend to win the confidence of Nigerians, he said, "We will involve all the stakeholders. We shall be open and transparent as possible and we will take in good faith all the comments and observations that have been made about how we do our business. We will bow to advice and constructive criticisms."
Brethren gud evening. I want to sincerely apologies to this house bcos the letters didnt come yestarday as i did mention. At this point, i have resolved to stop posting on this thread & promise to never use any other user name to post on this thread, if the letters dont come next week. God knows that i have never posted any thing unless i have faith in its source. Things keep shifting & i dont know why? If any body tells u that letters havent been printed, then he isnt saying the truth. The only reason why we didnt get our letters yestarday was that; yakubu told them not to dispatch the letters until he confirms 4rm alison. Thank God she knew about oniwon's directive, so she told him to go ahead. Depacalon & co never lied to us. It was just dat their sources were abit faster than events. I know the kind of coments that would follow this post yet i'm getting used to such already. Thanks
Terraco, nobody will skin you alive becos letters didnt come.we just want genuine info thats all.it is well.
@Terraco: from the content of ur last post, it obvious you were more of being genuine. Though ur faith still carries you till next week for the letters, I will want u to know that it thus happen. We have seen and heard this kind of info before. It probably come from the very reliable source but turned otherwise. What I expect of you is to resolve on more strategies for the publication in steady of the initial. The house still need ur worth of knowledge. God be on our side.
@All:
I know at least 10 things about each of you.
1. You are reading this msg. 2. You are human. 3. You can't say the letters "B, M, P & V" without seperating your lips. 4. You just attempted to do it. 6. You are laughing at yourself. 7. You have a smile on your face and didn't realize you skipped No.5. 8. You just checked to see if there is a No. 5. 9. You are laughing at this coz I caught you. 10. You are probably going to post this on your facebook page and try to catch your friends too!! *ahahaahaaaa!!!
:D
if ur source asked wat letters where being dispatched as of wednesday in dhl, he would hv been told cbn apptmnt letters bt if he asks for nnpc he would be told that it is expected next week bcos the directive is on hold till next week by allah's grace and the new management cant reverse the approval of the chairman of the board, the minister to dispatch letters. Kalokalo i knw wat am saying i need not to come out bragging who i am or who am close to. Am only impress with the maturity of the members of the forum simply because it takes to learn sharing each others knowledge and ideas. I may think twice to give a fone number for you to kol in dhl to give you some details. We are not distracting the house from its giant strike in seeking for our right. More grease to ur elbows. Just pray its fair as its being said by a ged who is still retained in the board. May allah help us all.
Guys abeg forget depacolon initially i was one of d few that believe in him.so truce is over let take up our arms n make sure the letter to d president is published.
It is well.....
The gate man that watches over the city labour but in vain except the Lord God is wif him.God has already seen us through......IJN,Amennn
pls lets go on with the publication...
Even if letters are to be dispatched,d publication will still go ahead to 'REMIND' the President of the plight of we the Nigerian Graduate at the hands of Recuiters...
You might be correct afterall, bcos I also heard from a friend at NNPC ,not in Abuja ,that letters of appointment had been dispatched at the late hours the out.gone mgt was going but he did not confirm that anyone had gotten letter. At the same time I called NNPC staff at Abuja and he told me that nothing like that . I think that the new GMD, Yakubu had to be cautious about the process bcos it requires money for its implementation, which I thought he had to get directive from Pet.Min in order not to run into problem. But from another angle, was new GMD . Engr Yakubu not among mgt b4, did Mrs.Diezaini not sign the list , she signed the list late hour when Engr. Oniwon was leaving, did Engr.Oniwon going was unexpected at that time that he did not release b4 now,was Yakubu not informed or new mgt might want to reconstitute the list for their own interest or delay it till PIB is passed
@Teraco, well there is a trace of sincerity in ur post. Appology accepted. Personally am just peace-up wth d whole thing.
Our country is sick. Cann't imagine a nonsense recruitment process lasting 2yrs and yet d prospectives employees has no alternatives ever since inception of dis bloody recruitment. Our present and past leaders are d cure to d illness of our country. They should be killed! And bet me if their want b sanitation. Bcos i wonder why d recruitment when d intent is nt to absorb anybody yet expenses incured.
With all sincerity i know dat d process of transport allowance was a little slow but when it materalised later, some1 there cease d opportunity to enriched him or herself. D whole thing is cheat!!!
Revolution is d answer bcos of our children-children.
My fellows, one of the options I posted would be the reason for the delay in our appointments but nothing God can not do. He holds the Universe but we also must not sleep to fight against this injustice. I see it as injustice bcos Pet.Min, GMD, GED sons and daughters could not ever be on this list and NNPC mgt would not have called the successful candidates since last year July and this is their normal way in NNPC but this must stop in 2010./2011 recruitment campaign. Are we aliens to Nigerian wealth, its very painful, NNPC would not have put out the jobs advert in the first instance when it would recruit from back door.
No, no , no , NNPC needs a total cleanse whether we like it or not. Not only recruitment dey do all this rubbish, it cuts across all aspects and GOD will help we the young ones to stand against corruption in our father;s land, Nigeria. But its very painful that our mothers, fathers, parents , our leaders in govt. and private sectors are planting the seeds of corruptions in the land which we are seeing And they would come out with messages of transparency which they are not following.
@DEPACALON, i sent u a pm, kindly reply me pls
Let us look inward if d country is nt sick, are we nt suppose to av gotten another opportunities ever since den. Roughly 2yr ago, majority of us av being here refreshing dis page every second and we are still on.
Infact, we are in deep cheat 4 been in a wrong country like nigeria with set of greedy minds.
Oh lord, save us!!!
It was the former GMD , Engr. Oniwon and his mgt who caused the confusion, why he had to call us at last minute in office, or he did not know b4 after he was due for retirement, that is what we are saying. If money no dey NNPC he would have lobbyed his retirement since and they denied us our own appointments, our own rigths. God will judge all this.
Was it not Engr.Oniwon would initiated the recruitment, so why did he delay it till now, was fuel subsidy saga around when we supposed to have been appointed, now they are saying fuel subsidy issue affecting us, PIB affecting us, why dey no wait for PIB to be passed. thanks.
Just cant fashion it out. Even if der is a reason to delay us till nw. Don't we deserve a mail of 3-lines sentences intimating us d status of recruitment. U see, it is here nigeria dat things are done any hw. Apply to any offer outside d country, u will definately receive a response either good or bad.
Infact, d outgone board of directors including madam minister shd be stoned d death or hung till dey cease breathing.
'Awon Ole jatijati!'
The softcopies will sent next week by GOD's grace.
The softcopies will be sent next week by GOD's grace.
I see a lot of self-centered people here. I wonder what would have been the case if this 'NNPC' were to be a smaller agency. People curse those in power-yeah. But have you evaluated yourselves. It's easier said than done. Just cool down, do the publication without acting the victim. WE ARE ALL GUILTY,ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!
Our country is in clear disarray. Our leaders are too busy looting the treasures of the nation at easy. There is urgent need to stop this ills. This is irrespective of weather one gets this job or not. Nigerians who are more productive should be allowed to form part of any indigenous company, in steady of the FCC that gives room for incompetency to occupy vacancies leaving the intelligent in its mercy. This will not only encourage the weak to be strong but gives room for an up-to-do public service which we lack in this country.
I have a dream. These crop of leaders shall fade out leaving greener achievers in the business of Nigeria where evry one contributes potentially and scientifically.
A time will come when the present "Alimajiri" in the north will make a team of rocket science in Nigeria. We are in the track of redeeming this dream. Our publication will go a long way as a signal to our leaders that the tune of the game has changed. We can't continue to fold our hands and watch things go heavily wrong. Its a sin on our part to watch impunity have their way without a call for restrain. It is when we make a choice of what we want that God can support us in our prayers. We have chosen to ask questions concerning this recruitments through any legitimate means hoping that it will make the end of such in our land. I see us all gather to celebrate the victory of this struggle in a big way. But we must work now in the way of achieving the desired aim of the struggle.
God be our helper.
I have been thinking about this ever since l registered on this forum. l have gone through all post on this forum for the third time now, done my research and l am close to giving us the shocker. Who is who on this thread & their missions etc.
One thing l find disturbing, and it holds the key to unlocking the mystery in this thread is this post. If you can crack the following questions you can see for yourself what l will reveal to this house asap
1.Who is the writer?
2. Why did the writer come up with this?
Please note that you cannot track the writer with the information he/she provided. Kalokalo you didn't even come close to your analysis of the writer; it is all make believe.
I am not here to do anything against the planned protest, just want us to know more than we know now. The contributions have slowed downed because these agents have given false hope again, by now we should have gotten over 200k. Watch the trend from day one of the contributions. whoever the writer is accusing is really the person controlling the minds of very many people in this forum with various antics and gift of gap the person possess. There are about 5 self willed strong men/women in this thread who has really kept the forum tight for these guys. I will also let the house know at the appropriate time.
Remember l promise to do what l am doing, we will also know why you cannot catch them in their game. There are so many of them in the NNPC thread, and a very vocal one in the DPR thread. I will rest for now, so much work to do in investigative journalism.
Please in God's name let us continue with the contributions for the publication, for now it is the only way to stop these guys and get the President to know what has been happening in the recruitment process of the NNPC/DPR. They will not fall short of their various schemes, and always expect them to fight back and they always fight dirty when they do.
Nnpc's new management pls do the right thing
