bebrief..lets talk soonest.
if we have the press conference for sunday, it hit the newstands on monday.
abuja group commences lobbying immediately after
Who is jeffrey kuraun ? There is fire on the mountain. Do get in touch with me asap.
For those who don't know...Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke (Minister of Petroleum Resources/Chairperson)....going by this i don't think we shud contact her before making d publication on national dailies
Please we need more contributions guys, today is 15th.....please hurry up, lets pay up.
@all, before seeing madam minister, 1 month gone, and i dont think she wil allow us 2 see her face 2 face. So dont let us just waste our time which we dont hav. And no meaninful result wl come out frm her insted. Lets take dis things step by step, we need 2 complete dis issue of publication b4 planning another. So hopefuls, lets come out in mass and contribute.
I don't for once support visit to d minister b4 d publication. This is a woman specilize in fabricatin lies, nothing will come frm her dan u will soon be called. I personally sad for d test base on d promises of GEJ of transformation agenda, it's understod d agenda has k-leg.
@ pyrated, she is a human beign. A nigerian and the minister for Petroleum Resources. She has eyes and she has eyes so she can see and hear. Though she is not in the country now, if we put up a request to see her and eventually see her we can build on whatever comes out of that meeting. It is very evident she has the grip, but Nigeria belongs to all of us. The NNPC/DPR is not her father's so she has to listen and give us some explanations otherwise we go to the press. Come to think of it which other indictment is more than the subsidy fraud?. In as much as there is the planned publication, we should also lobby and if nothing comes up then we result to other serious measures. Somebody also suggested we involve other political parties. All these are viable options. As we are contributing to the planned publication, it is only logical that we also take our protest to the MPR since we have done that for the NNPC and DPR. In a battle, the last man standing is always the person that lives to fight another day. It is also said that you can only defeat an enemy if in addition with your plans, you can think like the enemy... So we lay our options or plans if you like and put resources against each option. We need to strategise form units, lobby intensely amongst ourselves, layout workable and positive oriented options, come out of our shells to forster commitment and more especially give support to the course. Let the contributions flow.
"...Lawan visited Otedola’s house on three different occasions over the bribe issue. On each occasion, he drove himself in a C class Mercedes Benz. Five video recordings, lasting an average of eight to 10 minutes each were made on each of those visits. According to a source in the security services, on the first visit, he had lunch with Otedola where the amount to be paid was negotiated and eventually agreed on.
On his second visit, which was around 11 pm, he collected the first tranche of $250,000 and during the third visit when he came around 5.05 am, he collected the second tranche of $250,000. He was dressed in green buba and sokoto with a cap to match.
Later in the day at the plenary session after he had collected the second tranche, he got the House to clear Zenon as one of the companies that bought foreign exchange but did not import petroleum products.
“In the video, Lawan was clearly seen stuffing wads of dollar bills into his pocket, when his pocket was full, to the utter shock of all those who have seen the damning video, he removed his cap and concealed the remaining wads of dollar bills inside it and replaced the cap on his head.
“Nigerians will reel with laughter if they ever get to watch this video. It is on the one hand hilarious and on the other, shameful,” a source said.
Further investigations revealed that Lawan’s resort to stuffing the money in his pockets and cap was done to avoid arousing suspicion from Otedola’s domestic help who would have seen him entering the house empty handed and coming out carrying a bulging envelope.
However, unknown to him, a surveillance video camera carefully installed by the SSS was recording all his actions.
@patorinni : i quite agree with you...but my point is d delay we may encounter trying to see her and d preconceived answer we are likely to get from her (we will call u guys soon)...but it will be very good if she can address d cause of d delay before going to press otherwise we just forge ahead with our supposed plan
HOW TO BEHAVE WHEN ACCUSED
CORRUPTION IN
NIGERIA:
June 15, 2012 | Filed under: Art &
Entertainmen
Nigerians are corrupt. Even a suckling knows this.
From time to time however, the odd situation
arises where one Nigerian accuses another of
corruption, you know, like armpit calling mouth
smelly.
To be too clean in Nigeria is as bad as being too
dirty. You must maintain a corruption balance.
Moderate corruption. All our good men have
been moderately corrupt. It is the greedy ones,
the wicked ones who want to keep it all to
themselves, that we call corrupt. The Dictionary
of Nigerian Terms defines corrupt as: “an
adjective implying inordinate insatiable greed
above and beyond the Nigerian benchmark for
acceptable theft.”
As a politician or big businessman connected to
politicians, your enemies abound. And their
favourite social weapon is an accusation of
corruption. God sees your heart and He will
judge those judging you. Here on earth however,
this is what you must do when faced with the
threat of corruption charges.
If you are really highly placed, like the President
or something, and someone says your wife or
other relative is corrupt, ignore it. Nothing will
happen. The evil people will talk and talk and then
stop talking. Nigerians may make noise on social
media but, ultimately, they are too concerned
about poverty and how to get fuel for their
generators during Big Brother season to care too
much. Plus, Nigerians have the attention span of
goldfish.
However, if you are still climbing the political
ladder, you must act decisively. Put out a press
release denying every single allegation, even the
ones you are guilty of. Nigerians are wicked. If
you admit to something as small as running
through traffic lights, they will gather and impale
you and proceed to run through several traffic
lights on their way from impaling you. So when
faced with accusations of corruption, say you
have never ever committed a sin or done a bad
thing in your life, or peed on the bed when you
were little or lied to your friends that you didn’t
have money in secondary school.
A great comeback is to declare that the person
who accuses you is your political enemy. It is
because he wants to spoil the good work you are
doing and distract people from the main issues.
You must use words like ‘campaign of calumny’
and ‘detractors’ when you reply.
So you made a mistake and collected a gift you
thought was harmless. I mean, foreign currency
should be harmless. But you realised it was a trap
when you started reading in the papers that two
months ago, this guy gave you a bribe to do him
a favour. You have probably spent half of it
already (but then you can replace it). You must
go to the press immediately and say that
although you collected this so-called bribe, it was
your intention to keep it as evidence of being
bribed. You have a little evidence room in your
bedroom where you keep evidence of such
nature. You were only waiting for the right
moment. God knows.
Worst case scenario, plead entrapment. What is
entrapment? Simply, it means that if they had not
offered you a bribe you would never have taken
it. Like, if the serpent did not offer Eve the apple
she would never have eaten it. With entrapment,
it is the person who lured you into committing a
crime that is guilty. Use this excuse and Nigerians
will believe and join you in asking God to judge
those setting traps for you.
You can use this as a weapon also. They say
attack is the best form of defence. Every
successful Nigerian politician knows this. You
must give people money and capture it on tape.
This is political insurance. It is important to mark
the bills, just in case something goes wrong. Give
the money to people you think can turn rogue.
No politician can turn down money (Ok, maybe
guys like Buhari, but where has that gotten him?).
One day, when you are accused, you will bring
out the tapes and records of those you have
bribed and show it to the world as evidence.
Because Nigerians are tribal and selfish, all your
tribesmen will support you even in the face of
your guilt. They will band together and say that
no one should touch their ‘son’. There will be so
much controversy that no one will be able to tell
the truth from a lie and in all the commotion you
will get away unscathed.
This is what you must never do: Never ever
resign. Don’t even think of it. It is white people
who resign. Look at their countries collapsing one
after the other because they can’t stand still in the
face of accusations. You are Nigerian; it is a taboo
to resign just because they found out you took
half a million dollars in bribe.
Never admit to your crime except you are found
guilty by a foreign court and taken away in
handcuffs. And even then, do it only as the
condition for a plea bargain. Nigerians are
forgiving – they will hold a public rece
The issue here is if after seeing Madam nothing nothing tangible comes out of the meeting, then we hit the newspapers with the publication. But my questions is, will they honour our letter without the names of the writers and also allow them into the towers without proper identification that will subsequently expose their identity? Please lets look into this issue deeply. Let's continue to pay for the publication. Just did mine this afternoon.
At this stage we should have a time frame to guide our plans and actions. We are not going to give the MPR another 12months to do the necessary, God forbid. We need to have a plan, a timetable for actions. This is all l am saying. We were all made to believe a lie, and we can see clearly that nothing is what it seems. I want to advocate for good submissions from HOPEFULS to be sent to Bebrief and Debrown, so that we don't waste time. As the contributions are going on, so let the submissions as well go as PM to Bebrief and Debrown. If we try to see her and it is turning political or she refuses, then we hit the tabloids.... No holds bar
@ Civilguru, even if we put up the publication it will still appear faceless and largely anonymous and that is the more reason why they will want to know the individuals behind it, otherwise trust these people they have think-tanks who will pull them out of it with the flaws we will commit by largely remaining anonymous. If we are good to put up a publication we should be able to stand for the consequences. @ the PH centre of the protest after all said and done, no PH HOPEFUL was insight, even after l have disclosed what l was putting on as a mark of identity. This is my point, an anonymous identity is treated as a faceless man, we are contributing so let's be ready to unveil ourselves. After all Bebrief, Debrown and few others have already unveiled themselves. Let the contributions flow in.
can i help you?
It is indeed refreshing that we are no longer being bombarded with "reliable source" information and all the rubble raising.
Friends, many have said let us be strategic and others have called for tact, this is best achieved by keeping the end in mind.
What is our objective? I guess it is secure the conclusion of the recruitment process or a valid explanation.
At this stage I think we should go ahead to draw public attention to the long drawn process and relate it to the 2008 saga, with a emphasis on the fact that this situation is peculiar to MDA’s under the Petroleum Ministry.
Our publication should refrain from making any unfounded accusation or cast aspersion on anybody’s character.
This is democracy, we have the right to approach the minister to explain the issue bcos she is NNPC board chairperson. IN FACT, WE WOULD HAVE GONE TO MEET HER B4 PUSHING THEM OUTSIDE . AFTER THAT IF WE ARE NOT CALLED , NO OPTION TO CARRY THEM OUT AND USE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST. I SUGGEST THAT OUR COLLEAGUES IN ABUJA SHOULD DO D JOB ON MONDAY 18THJUNE, 2012. I SUGGEST.
Paid in 1,000. I've been offline for a while. My apologies to house.
@Patorinni, it is obvious that the trending anonymous outlook of the hopefuls is no longer desireable, there is an imperative urgency to unveil our identity so as to inject the needed drive required for the struggle. state hubs (in patorinni's parlance) should unmask and have a face to face meeting and strategise on the way forward and the quota to be contributed to augment the central hub targeted at maximum efficiency. these amidst other methodologies should be handy as a post publication back-up.
IF YOU SEE MADAM MINISTER, YOU ARE GIVING HER A HEAD'S UP IN THE SITUATION. YOU WILL PUT HER A STEP AHEAD OF US. Lets not throw away our Ace!
Paid in my token contributn earlier 2day. May God Almighty guide us and reward our effort in no distant time.
Again i ask, who is JEFFREY KURAUN ? there is fire on the mountain and it is gradually changing to a wild fire. do get in touch with me asap before it id too late.
What is the account update
@patorinni. Did u have any direct access 2 madam? If yes, fine! Lets go and see her. Any body suggeting us 2 c madam should take us there. Guys! Let us stop deceiving ourselves. The issue is dat, if we write a letter 2 madam, we wil just be asking ourselve d follw questions.
1. who r we going 2 give d letter to 2 giv madam?
2. How r we sure that d person has deliver d letter 2 her? Or find somewhere and dump d letter.
3. How do we know dat she recieved and also read d letter or she drop it some where on her desk?
4. Who will she contact 2 give us feedback?
All dis wil just waste our time and at last without know the faith of our letter. So lets reason well.
has reach madam?
I believe we have gone past the stage of talking all we need now is action.
No more visit to anybody just make the publication to make our voice heard. Gone are the days of begger have no choice.

@patorinni, did u know how long wil it takes us 2 see madam minister? Pls we dont hv such time 2 waste, after all about 98% of d house agreed on publication. So they say 2 heads are better than one.
My fellow house mates, I greet u for ur humble brainstorming towards checking against abnormalities in our face. Writing to the MPR will give her room to prepare herself. She is good when it comes to politicking with issues to be seen as sincere. That is even if we can meet her in Person for the needed result. We should make this thing a public issue. Its advantage overweight the other. Especially by making sure the board which has been mentioned in many quarters is dragged to answer. Mind us that this is a chairperson who the recent allegation of substitution of names on the list is done under her office. In my candid opinion, let us go ahead to publish some thing that will make her come out to say a tangible delay reason.
@all I strongly believe that we do not need to enter into any discussion with Madam Prime Minister. What on explanation do we expect her to give to us concerning this protracted process, she is a smooth talker, she has a way with ways. I think we need the input of Mr. ABC123, I see him as an intelligent man, we need people that can come up with extraordinary intelligence to solve this puzzle called NNPC recruitment. Lastly, I will advise that JA should be told to leave this forum, he has never contributed anything meaningful. He is one of the enemies we have here not Mr. ABC123.
Please someone should kindly furnish me the acc. number so that I can pay in own contribution.

I am very Concern on the situation at hand.. Especially as it has to do with DPR recrctm.. So far, i've counts the money paid in here and the no. 1 dpr hope giver-Sakabu' own is missing.. Those who will pay via CBN like myself should try and register thier payment soon..
Meanwhile, i'll suggest that those with the cross of writing the article should make extensive research on the write-ups in other not to jdgmpfrz it's aim..
Also members of both thread can each send in an entry of the newspaper caption(ie the Header) they'll like to be used in the publication and other meaningfull facts as regarding this issue.. And thereafter the best header should be nominated for the movie..
This is hilarious, at a time ABCD123 would make sense at another simply impossible...lol!
I am not to be misunderstood on this, l'm for the publication 100%. I just want us to make sure that we take some precautions as we took before embarking on the protest.
Questions we need to answer for ourselves.
1. Who do we expect to get a reply from by putting up this publication, should it be addressed to somebody?
2. Are we just putting the publication to attract sympathy from Nigerians, and thereby sensitizing the public about this abnormaly in the NNPC and DPR.
3. Do we intend to target any group(Pressure groups, labour unions, Nigerian youth associations etc), so that they can also pick up the matter
4. Do we have enough evidences to back up any claim
5. Does Phillip consulting have any case to answer?
6. Did we record any casualty in course of going to any of the test venues?
7. We need to make strong referals where necessary.
Some of the queries that will attract a lot of interest includes
1. If the same recruitment(Nov.2010) was given budgetary allocation for 2011 and now 2012.
what happened to the allocation for 2011.
2. What has been happening to the Manpower status of the NNPC since the last successful recruitment exercise into the NNPC was in 2006/2007. It is obvious that there has been retirements, resignations in the current NNPC manpower.
3. The NNPC advertised in 2008, conducted test and invited successful candidates for an interview and till date nothing has been said about the outcome of that interview process.
4. The NNPC advertised again in Nov.2010, conducted a test and invited successful candidates to the Towers in July/Aug 2011, till date nothing has been said about the outcome of the interview process.
5. Is there a delibrate ploy by the NNPC to advertise, get budgetary allocations for the process and at the end of the day sweep the interview results under the carpet, and get a handful of substitutes at the expense of a largely free and fair test/interview process.
6. It was at the PH Centre of the test(FGC PH) that a newly wed left her groom at her wedding reception to take part in the test.
6. A bold front page caption on a national daily with the full jist on another page.
Leave no shadows, the late ikemba once said "Because I am involved".
Good day my fellow comrades, I will make my donation.
But If I may advyc, Pls It is better we choose 3 newspapers(north, SW, SE) and make a one page advertorial at 50k each, all will b 150k.
It is better than spending 200k on a front page of newspaper that is read by a section of the country.
@SAKABU, what of south south tabloids? with this, she will be advised by her clan and kinsmen as a "true daughter of the soil" on d way forward. honestly d significant readership required for this noble project are those domiciled in Lagos and Abuja, dont forget Abuja is the seat of power while Lagos is the commercial capital of Nigeria.all states and all political parties are ably represented in Abuja.these power brokers convoke for plenary sessions and the likes. major dailies should still be the target.
