Dis is were graduates get it all wrong.Though i didnt apply (NNPC), i just wnt 2 say dis.Never think dat bcos u just graduated from school then u shld hv no leadership skills/ qualities. And being a fresh graduate does not give u d audacity to form lack of experience.Ur project in final year, class rep,SUG,FACULTY president and others are good example of positions of leadership and giving good examples of some issues u handled wuld show ur leadership skills& team spirit. Even being a platoon commander can demonstrate leadership skills. All those ur little jobs u did in University& b4,are examples of experience.Pls and pls even if u dont hv a job& u go for an interview, and u're nt doing anytin, pls and pls dont say it.You must hv smetin u enjoy doing like say sewing. Then u can say u sew(self-employed) and describe passionately.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@JAJAMARK why are you being myeopic ? why the euphemistic approach to brazen reality ? why is the truth so bitter ? can you be more religious than JESUS ? why the vacuous and uncouth response ? why do you like a stage-managed deceit ? can you bet with a valued asset that there will be no slots for political favours ? pls JAJAMARK dont make me spit venom, think and talk and not talk and think.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I thank all of you for your contributions. I am however not very happy with some people who bluntly refused to share experiences with fellow NJF while the interview was going on only for them to jump out from no where to tell us the criteria for selection after the interview has come and gone. Of what use is the info to the house now? Please, i would have preferred you to keep the info to your self because as far as this NNPC recruitment 2011 is concerned, this info is outdated, It will only cause hypertension for some people. For me, i believe that it is not for the swift but for the lord who shows mercy whether you have been the SUG president, Class prefect, an ordinary student or even a cleaner. I may not have performed perfectly well but by the grace of God, his will must be done on my head in this issue. please, my people, dont be dismayed or discouraged by any of all these info flying around, just believe that God can do it for you whether you answered well or not. God is great.

The only word of wisdom so far under this thread. Accusation and counter accusation will never help anyboby.. Whatever will be will surely be. Whether you answered brilliantly or not, NNPC or not. Just believe that Who God Has Blessed No One Can Curse. Shalom.

Quota System ensures that everybody {i.e States of the Federation} have equal stake when it comes to partaking in the national "cake".
174,000 applied online; 44,000 invited for Aptitude/knowledge Test; 4,700 invited for Interview, and approximately 20 successful candidates to be recruited from each State {including FCT} after the result/ranking has been concluded.
However, I was reliably informed by a Senior Staff of NNPC {handling the GT Training Programme}, that they are making provision for a maximum of 500 GT. Thus, the remaning 240 - 300 slots will be shared among EH, OP, and Contract Hires.

B/w the reimbursement {which can't exceed N50k} and the Appointment letter, which do you prefer?
.......It seems you value the reimbursement more..........

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
brethen, we are loosing focus again. these issues are not what we should be concerned about.
there are hawks fighting to ensure that the process is either aborted, or a list of those who didnt even participate in the process, be integrated.
i think more than ever before, the house mates should be on their knees, on this matter.
every thing concerning the process has been pinned down, including the cheque for transportation..
it was, at the last meeting, pegged at 10 graduate trainees per state, 10 trainee operators per state. im not aware that it has been changed.
a graduate trainee in 2008, earned about 70k. presently its about 140k. tax inclusive.
can we be sober now, and intreat the Lord on this process.
let the sweat, and the risk our brethen took on that day not be in vain. no vulture will see our carcass

Tanx for this info. The issue you just raised is where the crux of the matter is. One cannot but wonder why the delay in everything even in sending the transport allowance.
I think we should focus more on how to ensure that this process is continued till d end rather than on trivial issues like salary, progression and what have u.

Thanks Jesus Army for calling the house to order once again. All the devices of the crafty concerning this recruitment shall be disappointed and frustrated in Jesus Name... Amen

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@Jesus Army,
They are not employing EHs again?
Your data excluded them.
Again it's not as important as your advice for NHJs to be on their knees.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

And you have to share some part here and others via pm?Well, I am not with you guys in the race and the worries, cos I am "a special breed".@All, just set your mind on God by praying and giving thanks.Calculate 5 - 6 weeks after the end of the interviews(Aug 17) and start expecting letters.Nothing will truncate this process.....Nay,not even B'haram bombings. No ill-feelings as I just enjoy reading this forum and seeing how our generation assist themselves in getting what they want and I enjoin everyone to have that same spirit of lifting others.Jesus Army,I greet you again and I know why.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
why the unnecessary noise about the pay? Is pay more important than getting the job first?

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I've been lurking around waiting for someone to remove the lid covering the NNPC gist for one simple reason, FUN. Sometimes I just want to take a spectator's seat and enjoy the diversities of people's views, the complexities of our humanities, the selflessness and selfishness of different characters in this drama and to tell you the truth most times I just sit back and laugh and sometimes I am tempted to cry cos this whole oscillations is triggered by one thing and u know what that is? High unemployment rate. I have also seen some people deliberating on the salary when the appointment letter is still on transit.very funny.I consider this as a case of sharing a rabbit's meat before killing it.Well for others just having faith, praying and hoping let me reassure u to pray on and keep the hope alive cos "hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things"-(Andy Dufresne-Shawshank Redemption)

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
NNPC salary; if what the GMD Human R. told me at the course of my interview is something to go by, then the salary 4 operators is around 170k.
