Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
My heart goes out to the family of dr. Levi and the entire nnpc family and including the hopefuls on this ill-fated accident that claimed the lives of some of our very own. The president has declared 3 days of national mourning, now what happens to our planned protest if i may ask.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
With the unfolding event and the lost of a MANAGEMENT STAFF OF NNPC, IS STILL WISE FOR THIS PROTEST TO HOLD TOMMORROW? GUYS LETS BE CONSIDERATE.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Is it still wise for the protest to hold tommorrow? as he DR LEVI (late) is the one who is expected to address the protesters. Guys think about this.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I'm really confused at this point. All I can say is that may the soul of Levi Ajunoma and the over 160 souls Nigeria lost today rest in peace. What a black sunday.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
It is indeed a very sad day for Nigeria and Nigerians. The loss of over 150 lives. One of dem is Levi Ajunonoma. Lemme therefore move a motion dat all protest (media and physical) be put on hold for now lest we appear insensitive. May d souls of d departed rest in peace.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Hmmmmmm wot a sad day...............
The protest should be suspended.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Ozogwu just hold ur peace as u were never in suport of the protest frm the onset, either u're NNPC sent or u're just too afraid to face the reality of life. Anyway, reasonable patriots, what do we do? Rational thinking and creative contribution please.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Just read on a friend's facebook page that another NNPC staff died in the crash. His name: Alh.Ibrahim Nagidi

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
may the soul of those who lost their lifes rest in peace. 152-lagos plus 15-bauchi plus 10-ghana plus 5-lagos/ibadan express, may God have mercy
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
it should be suspended.we will do it after the whole tin has settled down
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Na wa ooooooooo. May the souls of Levi and the others rest in perfect peace, but why now? Morale low. Considering ther recent happenings and the three days nationwide morning, I think it won't be wise to carry out any protest whatsoever tomorrow, the publications can go on though it won't get the desired attention. The protest can be postponed to next week depending on the way things unfold. But na wa ooooo. This is my humble submission. One love
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I equally suggest we put d protest on hold 4now till a later date, but explore other means of creating serious awareness on dis matter. Maybe we should find a way of writing an open protest letter to Mr President & others authorities through any of d popular print media. What surprises me most is why dis incident should come up now bcos certainly if we dont get our acts in order quickly & dis present NNPC Management board is eventualy dissolved as is widely being speculated, our case would have only gotten worse than ever b4.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Arabic4real, I disagree. D essence of d publication is to win us sympathy but dat element will be lost right now.any pub going to press shld be recalled so dat wen eva we are ready for d on-slaught we'll unleash everything 2geda. Pls guys let's tactically withdraw for now. All soldiers stand down. He who learn 2 run, lives 2 fight anoda day.not dat we are running but it only makes sense we chill right now.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Fellow nigerian youths... No matter what is said, we are the great force that moves the engine room of this nation.
Among us here are great minds that have been blesSed with youthful strenght. We must never allow ourselves to be walked over, we must never allow events around us to quietly steal away our humanity. At a time like this, nigeria our country need us to drop our differences and unite in reassurance to one another, pat our backs and encourage each other.
Fellow patriots, the people that lost their lives today are not just notherners neither are they just from the south. There is no fine line that seperates these people. Among them were xtians and muslims alike.
Great nigerian minds... I need not remind you all that you are among the most intelligent ones this country has produced. No matter how u look at it, u r among the best 10% of your contemporaries... Yes my fellow patriots ur mind is great but I want to ask; hw large is your hrt? Can we swallow our pain at a time like this and join in consoling our future colleagues in the NNPC over the loss of one of our finest gentlemen?
Let's sheat our swords compatriots, just for now.
In the mean time we shall utilize the opportunity to make our petitions known to all relevant authorities. I hav already submitted a complaint to the PCC (the public complaints commission), tomoro, I shall submit a letter to the nnpc requesting a meeting with the GM Human resources so abt 10 of us can go there and make our grieviances known on appointment. I encourage any1 in the house in contact with any member of the NASS investigating the fuel subsidy to swiftly submit the letter by bebrief to them soonest.
We are not afraid neither are we discouraged. We are indomitable and our spirit and resolve can never be crushed. But when we make decisions like this, we only show one thing; that we are Nigerians and and the Nigerian youth is HUMANE. We are considerate and our patriotic spirit is unshaken.
Greatest Nigerian youth, I know this is hard but I beseech you to hold your peace. Let the protest be on hold for now.
Nigeria is our own, we shall protect her.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@biggaboi, u have a good point but thats up to Debrief to recall d publication if it will still be possible. From his post its like everything has already been put in place for the publication to be on tomorrow's dailies. But dont also forget that the tenure of this present NNPC Management is almost gone so we need to act fast. I am always in line with Whatever the house decides to do
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Let the protest be suspended 4 now. We should be sensitive 2 d fact dat d nation is mourning. Our country needs prayer. But d ram dat retreat, does so to garner strength.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
No ooooo. Suspend what?? If it is suspended, then there will be no future protest..... The ginger, zeal, is at its peak o. Yes, we feel for their loss but life goes on.... D sun shines, d grasses grow!!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
????e protest must hold, no going back
-
May their gentle sorl rest in perfect peace,is really a sad event,is a wise decision to suspend d protest for now not what we wish but there is reason for everything as there is time for everything, a season for every activity under Heaven, a time to be born and a time to die.we shall resume back to discussion as event unfold which I believe it will also affect d nnpc reshuflemen nd a chance for them [the cabal] to do something before d experition of d murnnin period.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
The unfortunate incident would definitely take the shine off the protest. I suggest we give 1 week for the mourning and then come back here and appoint another day, probably another 1 week notice for the protest. Holding the protest now would make us come across as insensitive. @kinlord, i suggest you exercise restraint and not do anything, atleast not within this week, and definitely not tomorrow. Let's give one week and then decide on the next course of action.
-
to continue wt the protest will make us appear not beta than d pple we set out to expose (wicked and insensitive)
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

@ least, let's emphatize wt dose dat lost lovd 1s in d crash- NNPC inclusive! @ all: Now its glaring dt dere's a strong, -ve, spiritual IV contending wt dis NNPC 2010 recruitment's completion! Cos d closer we get 2 d end of its successful completion, d farther it becomes- courtesy, sudden bad news ( subsidy probe, GGM Levi's death, NNPC's cabinet reshufflement et al). May God help us, Amen. My submission derefore is dat, no more protests! Let's all join NNPC and d rest of nigeria and nigerians as we mourn d departed souls- victims of d sudden death, and pray God 2 grant dem eternal rest in His bosom. Amen.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
We can still hold our gathering by making it a condolance visit and the we can find a way bypass the grief to enable us plot and append our complains. Our presence in their offices could still be effective by telling them 'officially' that we are still around. By the way i hope the newspapers re on
-
We should not call it off, we should use the opportunity to rather commissesate with the management. By so doing, they may decide to put a human face to the decisions they may have already taken on us. I suggest we still gather but in black dresses to show our concern then hitting2 birds with 1 sto

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
i can smell a number of agent provokoteurs planted in the forum with the sole purpose of sowing discord among the hopefuls!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@abcd123.... Bushman.
Fellow Hopefuls its now of essence dat we make an urgent decision weda to still protest today n make it partly a condolence visit or suspend it for 7days and come back on monday, 11th June, for d protest. The ginger could still b dere u know.
Who knows if one of d reason he was travelling to Lag was as a result of d planned protest.....just thinking aloud. I believe dey must have strategised on how to manage d protest by cancelling some of deir official duties and positioning demselves so as to enact deir strategies.
Lets suspend it for 7days Hopefuls and storm dem on 11th june as d recent plane crash development'll take d shine off our doing any publication now on our national dailies. If u notice, d misleading NNPC FB page is alive again mourning d GMD.
Lets not storm dem when dey'r weak in mourning. May deir gentle souls rest in peace.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
pls let hold it till after this mournfull moment, lets sympathise with beareaved.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
As a matter of fact, i find it extreemly hard to discredit the idea of this 'condolence visit'. Maybe it could do us good. Won't be a bad idea to show-face at the designated centres, on blacks or black handbands for those who av traveled to the protest venue already and could not get black dress. Any reasonable human beign will see point in our gardering. We might even gain more sympathy. The inscription on our placards would be fashioned towards using one bird to kill two stones(pls re-arrange) i.e fashioned towards sympatizing with deseased famiies and requesting for our letters/cause of delay.
Even if part of us was/were in the plane, i think it make sense to use the avenue to accord them the last respect and ensure the success of the course they died for. My thought.
If Not God

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
now i ndstnd wat an average nigeria youth is made of! wit dis sentimental attitude we cant sieze our future from the hands of this monsters called politicians. peaceful protest is peaceful protest no matter whose ox is gored. aborting 2days protest is only a sign dat we aint got wat it takes to ask for wat belongs 2 us let alone siezn it. wat do u guys mean by sympathy? wat do u guys ndstand by being sensitve? if levi did nt die yesterday wont d protest continue amist d over 50 people dat died in bauchi bomb blast! now i see dat d sensitivity of an average nigerian is selfish. am nt hapy abt his death, i hv always bn his fan since i was 6. al am saying is dat our future is bigger than any individual, some people are saying hold d protest til next wk, dey talk as if dey knw 2mao, wat abt if somthing similar or worst happens next sunday? sure we are going 2 hold it til next 2 wks. my people i was initiated into d strugle of nigeria student right frm d bedrock of militancy (angola Hall OAU) i was made to ndstand rit dia dat struggle has no smilin face! if dey like dey, FG shld fly d flag half way 2day but dnt 4gat dat d same FG has tried 2 remove ur flag and mast from NNPC recruitmnt months ago!
aluta continua victoria acerta!
