One of the signs of ‘end’ time is that “people shall be lovers of themselves and lovers of money.” This is the evidence of high level of corruption and nepotism both in Government and the private sector. You see people deceiving people just for their selfish aggrandizement. I can see the lord God has so many cases to settle at the end.
My dear people, I want us to note that this fight will not be a day’s job. We shall occupy strategic places until this issue is resolved. If possible, we may present a position paper in the form of a bill to be enacted in the National assembly to address the issue of recruitment in all federal institutions in Nigeria which must be based on merit and on a level playing ground. There must be checks and balances put in place to thwart any form of diversion and usurpation of powers for selfish gain. Punitive measures for offenders must be stated as well. Also, GEJ must address the youths of this country. We are tired of all these trash called ‘HOPE’.

I have applied for a few govt and private companies and parastatals and nothing came out of it. I take it on the chin, work harder and move on bcos life will always go on. I dont HONESTLY see the need to put my precious life on the line because of NNPC recruitment. I want the job soo bad, dont get me wrong. going to the streets is not an option because no body here can guarantee the safety of the protesters. who said the police will not easily disperse the protests? any police notice? who said hoodlums will not over take the protest? I have seen it happen soooo many times in makurdi when students of benue state university protest. people are killed and hoodlums overtake the process. who reports it? who cares? did any of you in this house hear of the protests and killings about last month in makurdi, benue state capital? forget what you see on tv. Naija na naija. and its not even like they gave us letters of employment. and do we really know why there is a delay? abi na "blind protest" we wan do? Nobody has said that the process was cancelled or that ghost names have been released. make we no use our own hands pour sand inside our garri. I no fit shout. on monday sef, I get lectures and will not sacrifice it for any protest. I have sacrificed enuf for this job. I have ran my race, read my books, written the test and interview. If I am good enuf, I will pass and be called. If them do magomago and put their people there in the naija mannerism, may God judge them. I was @ eleme police station yesterday to get police permit but it was not granted. They said it can only b granted to registered and known body or union. But i wil stil b dia on monday. I am coming wit 10 cardboard papers and markers. If u ar in ph, pm me for further logistics. Police report or not, we ar protesting.

I salute the courage of all the nnpc hopefuls. May we all be rewarded soonest In Sha Allah. I want to strongly advise that we adopt other methods such as placing of articles on the dailies like someone did sometimes last year and address the articles to GEJ rather than embarking on a protest either peaceful or violent. My fellow hopefuls, let us restrategize. Street protests will not solve this problem but rather worsen the situation.
I buy the idea of using media to address this issue rather than street protest. It worked in where i work presently. We use media and they quickly reacted to the media publication as a rejoinder and they immediately called us to resume after a recruitment that span more than 2 yrs.
I will strongly suggest we use media and not street protest given the antecedents of past street protest.
I believe if we publish an article in the dialies levi ajunoman will come out to address the issues raise. And we will know our position and fate.

ABCD123, we know that we did not protest before they brought out the advert. We just want them to know that they shouldn't be playing with us. If they are not ready to employ they shouldn't make us spend the little money we have and take unnecassary risks. I almost had an accident on my way to Abuja and I had to lodge in an hotel cuz I don't have anybody I can stay with Abuja at that time. Do you know what I would have done with that money? nnpc issued a circular to all divisions and sbus,calling for staffs who have not gone thru the fstpe programme.[
just like in 2008, they are going to send existing staff for the training.
they are employing experienced hires,in security unit, we have 4 new staff...the annoying thing is the ijawlization of the process.

Everybody has the right to express his or her grievances. But remember the method to be employed matters alot. Since NNPC has not informed us that the process is cancelled. I strongly believe media option is the best for now and not protest.

Personally i dont think anybody has forced any hopeful to come and john the protest. If you feel that you are not part of the protest then on that very day,simply sit at the comfort of your homes and allow those of us who strongly believe that the protest is more than justified to do so. Afterall if i die people like slimeikenna and co will even have greater chances of getting the job cos probably, they'll now take up my own slot. Despite all the media publications that was put out on the media last year concerning this recruitment by hopefuls using their hard earned meagre resources, yet no response from any quarters. Why? Because the authorities believe that those media complaints is the much the hopefuls can do. Guys use your heads. Nigerian government will never, repeat never respond to us except we take more serious steps on this matter. That is just how the system works.

Conclusively, if publications in the dailie will not work, then maybe peaceful protest will.

June 4 Protest must hold peacefully, is it compulsory that everyone be there. When the protest has not come up, what NNPC has done to the recruitment? Today, one probe, tomorrow another probe? So, should their negligence of offices affect our own employments? When NNPC recruits from back door. What of our T-fares which we filled e-payment forms? NO, NNPC must not escape this fraud? Its our rights not priviledges, which we must fight to the end.

If u don't know several articles have been published on this issue, and nothing happened, so by the time the whole world knows about the NNPC cunning recruitment the water will be clear.2008 issue must not repeat itself, Nigeria belongs to all not to a set of people and that is where the national dialogue lies.
