A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

Mind u, its nt only the NNPC and DPR hopefl wil involve in the protest bt a handfl of Nigerian, mostly the youth, who bliv this regime doesnt hav the youth at hearth.
The protest wil go on unless letters are released b4 14th June

Just yesterday you said on the DPR thread that your source that neva lies told you that the DPR letters are coming very very soon, and here you are gingering for thesame NNPC/DPR hopefuls to embark on a protest if nothing happens until the 14th of June, that means ur very soon was not even soon? All thesame the protest must hold whether the Devil likes it or not, but let us be civilized as educated youths during the protest, violence can come later if nothing happens after this protest, BUT we must not start with violence. Pls, who knows someone in RAYPOWER fm?? There is a program that actually takes place by 8:30 am everyday, it is a very popular one in which a lot of people do call in. If raypower makes nnpc/dpr recruitment a topic, NNPC n DPR would answer us.

14th of June seems a perfect day for a peaceful protest(protest with subsequent follow-up) to claim our right/part of the national cake 'if and only if' we wouldn't eventually vote it void b4 d day. Though i'm currently in ogun state but i shall be @ d FCT in the night of the 13th of june. May we have the backing of God on this.

Thanks to the hopefuls for the high spirits concerning the planned protest. Its not necessary to get all the hopefuls to join in the protest but certainly quite a handful of the hopefuls will be available by then. If by the grace of God am in Abuja by then, you can bet i'll be out there on the street. We cant continue to shy away from such actions and expect anything to change on its own while some select few continue to usurp and feast on our collective National resources in the name of providing us with leadership that only works for their family and friends. To all those calling for restraint on the planned protest claiming that letters have been dispatched and are on the way, my only take is this" IF THE LETTERS COME B4 14 JUNE 2012, THEN AUTOMATICALLY THE PROTEST CEASES TO HOLD, BUT IF NO LETTERS ARRIVE ON OR BEFORE THAT DATE, THEM IT IS FORWARD EVER BACKWARD NEVER! We have already had too many cycles of promises and disappointments as regards the issue of issue of claims that instructions have been given for letters to be dispatched next week, next month, and so on and so on and so on and so on and them so forth. It is time to invoke the spirit of ALUTA CONTINUA cos according to our history, thats the only thing that has said off most times in Nigeria.

I like the mass action being planned, unfortunately those of us in Ibadan might not be there with you. However, we will remain with you in the spirit praying for the success of the protest.

Dear hopefuls can we please use tuesday june 12, because of the historic event that took place in the so call democratic system of government in this country, enough of dis rubbish. i have dis in mind far back january, it's time to act.

When do we deside on the RENDEZVOUR and the TIME for the protest? I guess these are extreemly essential. Pls people in Abuja who know its corners should help us with a Right spot

June 12 to me, seems not unreasonable. Neverthless, beign a public holiday, a lot of other political/democratic issues are looked into on that particular day in which our interest/aggitation would be one of, say, a million issues to be noted. Meanwhile, staging a protest b4/after 12th june would BOLDLY showcase, to all Nigerians, what we stand for.

I'm in lagos bt try to be in abj b4 dat time, d fact is b4 things be in equilibrium always in dis country "reaction must be two times d action taken by d authorities" we are ready for them, what do we enjoy in dis country is it employment, electricity, human right, security or what?

I think it is good to register the protest wif the nigerian police.it is legal and it is the right tin to do.you dont just gather somewhere without the prior knowledge of the police of that area.it is a gud development and i will partake.but lets do it the right way.

June 14 is appropriate , on June 12 there will be tight security and we don't want any armed force to embarrass us. there is a filling station infront of that NNPC towers with Mr.Biggs shop, we can hang around there and exactly 10am we shall carrying our placards by God's willing unless NNPC releases the appointments b4 that dat.

Informing police is not a problem, and are u sure that NNPC would not use police to destablise us. Either we inform police or not, we shall make our grievances known come Thursday,June 14. Will Police shoot us or what? Its all protest Nigerians inform police? People should not intimidate us at all.

@tohbad, it's really too bad that NNPC has refused to do the right thing. Giving us hope the there is a green light to the release of letters is not enough.

Only the release of letters will stop this.

Peaceful protest world wide is a strong tool in drawing govt attention to issues. It is therefore important we use this tool in calling NNPC to order.

The presence of the press will make this protest deliver desired result.

The fact that the letters are comimg soon doesnt stop us from protesting, at least we have waited long enough. The only thing that will stop the protest is simply the release of our letters.

I hope the corrupt-minded nigeria police will not sabotage our good intention by pre-informing them.

Other well meaning Nigerians will join us on that day, they are all waiting for the hopefuls to make move then will they follow. We will also involve the press, Occupy Nigeria Group and some members of the labour on this.
Dont forget that all Nigerians are interested in anything that has to do with MPR.

If after the protest, they go ahead and release the letters on the 16th of June then good and fine but first of all the protest must hold and that is before the 16th as already being planned. ....dey've really treated us like dogs and donkeys as though we'r animals. Nigeria belongs to all of us. They say dey dont have funds to recruit more staff since 2008 yet they steal billions everyday and recruit 'behind d scene'.

....in 2010 when a group of about 30 '08 hopefuls stormed d towers in protest, d management told dem dat d '08 recruitmnt was conducted by a different management and if their protest had been done earlier(say '09), their protest'ld hv been put into consideration but dat 2010 opening would soon be published.
This's anoda reason dis protest shld hold b4 dey giv us same story.

Since NNPC has decided to take us for fools just because we were trying to be civilized, it is high time we make them understand that with our education we can do those things those illiterates were doing in the creeks of Niger Delta, and for their info we can do it even better, come 14th of June 2012 at least one of the Towers will drop.
