Only God knows whether nnpc will eventually call those that were successful in the nnpc 2010 recruitment or they will abandon the whole process and recruit secretly through the 'normal' 'man-know-man' way of anything Nigerian. Its quite a pity that the unemployed youths of this country are being treated this way by both private employers and their very own government institutions. Its quite pathetic too that some people will come here to play and toy with peoples' emotions just because they are desperately hoping that something as good as nnpc job will not pass them by. After all the hassles one went through applying online, going for the poorly conducted test and transporting oneself to abuja for the interview and nothing comes out of it? Its really disappointing to say the least.
The last i heard of the process was that its on hold because some very high up individual 'felt' it was grossly skewed in favour of some regions while a certain region was grossly disfavoured.
I think its best for those who are wise to start thinking of moving on while keeping their options open as anything can still happen. Cheers!
One thing i've deduced based on the various feeds we've been getting and through common sense is that madam diezanni could be up to one or both of these: to keep the management of both dpr and nnpc in the dark because eventually they (management) have an unpleasant surprise coming there way via probe. Or, it is plain day light robbery- using the funds released for the last two recruitment to make up for the ones they have misappropriated. And then, recruit her own way when the storm is over. If you want to learn how to lie with confidence and command, just watch her interviews!
As we have said b4, NNPC will soon call us as we are hearing and reading good news on nigerian oil& gas issues. Check out yesterday Guardian front page and read how Senate Committtee on Downstream sector plans to present its own PIB " private member bill" as executive is delaying PIB. Also, today's Punch page 19 says "Harmonised PIB to be ready this week", pls read the whole story. The senate is ready for PIB passage, which is good news for us.Our hope is alive.
at bb1,u are correct.infact,the PIB delay is causing a lot of loses in in the oil sector.investors are waiting for the bill before they will invest.oil revenue is dropping rapidly becos of the uncertainty brewed in the sector as a result of the delay.evrybody is aware of this and that is why the PIB must be passed soon.With this,therefore,NNPC can go ahead and release the list IF PIB IS THE CAUSE OF THE DELAY.i bet you,that as soon as the PIB is presented to the national assembly for passage,it will be the most accelerated bill ever in the history of this country.fingers croosed,hope renewed partly,but not fully.
In my own opinion nnpcguy sounds more like JA than vin20.

I seriously suggest that you forget about Vin20, he is a chance permutator and does nothing other than hazarding guesses. @kafox, we dont need protest, what we need is open confrontation and subsequent demolition, we need to teach them to raise the bar of fairness when relating with the Nigerian youth, we can use two very senior member of the corporation as scapegoats, by beating them pulp and blue to the admiration of the Nigerian masses.

@hiswill i seriously support your idea of going through the Bureau for Public Complaints at least to get a word or position from NNPC on the state of the recruitment. @all...Its sad and unusual to see that the entire process is still being delayed till now. When we get official position of things it will give us answers to all this speculations, suggestions, sources info whether correct or not, so those of us that was waiting to kiss our present employer goodbye will know whether to hold dearly to what we have. A bird at hand is the only bird!!! and not a thousand in the bush. I think we should seek legal advice on this issue from the bureau or what do you guys think?

Fellow hopefuls, lets be patient instead of pouring out our bitter anger concerning this recruitment process that has lingered for too long. I heard a voice said the process is in “abeyance for now”. These are words of somebody I cannot distrust. I can foresee that the FG is in a state of financial quagmire and internal crisis, even as it tries to bring dividends of democracy to the people amidst building on the Federal Reserve which has been embarrassingly low, going by the current trend in the world economy. This is one of the reasons why strategies are directed at the citizens to pay up their bills instead of subsidy. NNPC is an organ of the government and cannot be dissociated from the goings on. Also, a whole lot of changes will be brought to the petroleum industry. If this happens, definitely human capacity will be in want. However, this recruitment is not canceled. I must tell you, some peeps in this forum have attended up to three consecutive interviews at the towers. This set of peeps should be more impatient. If you were part of the NNPC 2008, you will also agree with Jesus Army when he said “the long wait is over”. This is because many things that are happening now are like a repetition of that era. I tell you, everything looks so close in terms of signs and symptoms. But this is different in that the change in mgt then affected it all. Some of us dig further to root out the obvious reason why GT 2008 recruitment was abandoned. If you were part of it you will agree that only engineers were called for the test with some few sciences like geology. In the end, 15 brilliant chaps per state were called for the interview. The process was never concluded because Rilwanu Lukman, the MPR wanted his boy to be there as GMD, so he brought in Mohammed Bakindo and removed Lawal Yar’ Adua with the excuse that the later was not proactive and corrupt. Little did people that he had some hidden agenda. First, he swept the recruitment under the carpet and flooded the towers with his fellow Nomadic herds men at the detriment of the hopefuls then. This was an outright replacement as the number of intake was very limited, say around 150 in all. He did so many atrocious things that I don’t need to mention here. These are facts and not speculation. Going forward, I will like to suggest the following:
1. All fingers should remain crossed until the deadline of 1st October, 2012. If there is no news, then we take our destinies in our hands and let the world know about this. This period will be a veritable time to stage any action and also give maximum time for them to adjust.
2. No violence pls. But it shall be an action of intellectuals.

Bravejustice in as much as i appreciate ur comment partly, i however wish to differ seriously on certain issues you've raised so far, & state categorically that there's no corelation whatsoever between 1st October 2012, and November 2010 NNPC recruitment at all at all. So i dont know where in the universe you got that notion of 1st October,2012 from. Maybe from the moon or other parts of the universe but certainly not from any NNPC source (whether fake or genuin).

He is jus used to stall any OCCUPY NIGERIA protest which they foresee from these bunch of intellectuals whom they ve abandoned to their fate. A protest which may gain world wide attention from CNN n other top media n expose d terrible ills in d corporation.
It's either u accept it n resort to the fact that God writes ur destiny n no man can rewrite it n d fact that Nnpc denial is not d end of d world or stand firm n united n fight these evil in Nigeria.

A clean bill of the PIB is to be sent to the Minister next week by the Chairman of the PIB task force, Senator Udo Udoma. A friend of mine who work under him just confirmed this.
They've been on this bill clause-by-clause since February and the work is now done. Senator Udoma will meet with the Minister on Monday and thereafter he will officially present the clean bill which the Minister will submit to Mr President.
The task force has been briefed that the bill needs to be presented to the National Assembly early June for a speedy passage before their recess, which is the wisdom behind the Senators involved in the task force so the bill can scale thru when presented on the floor of the Senate.
As soon as the bill leaves the Minister's table, the coast will now be clear for invitation of successful candidates for training, ahead of completion of training and passage of the bill into law...and this won't be long.
I disagree completely wit bravejustice....so we should wait till october?? HELL NO!! We can't be violent but there should be other means by which we can get a statement from them

Moreover NNPC has different employment modes other than the mass recruitment so if anyone gets into the corporation other than thru this recruitment we are talking of here it does not in any way mean that the 2010 recruitment has been abandoned. Have you ever wondered were this merenger of a fellow has been all this while and how come he knows everything about people's hidden identities as well as true identities including the mutations,transfigurations,transitions, and transformations from JA,VIN20, etc . From his post, it definitely shows he's been active and part of this all this while. The answer is simple. HE IS JUST ANOTHER OLD FELLOW WHO SIMPLY CHANGED TO A NEW USER-ID FOR DUBIOUS REASONS.
