JAJAMARK, I don't think u ve read d news. When employed and trained, where would u work? in d sky? The news is all about people agitating for d take-up of gas project which will create jobs which u are fighting for. Pls be current to Oil & Gas news when reading/listening to news.
We need God's hand in all, 2012 budget is yet to be signed by Mr President, PIB non-passage are real issues but I bliv dat nothing God can't do. Our past nd present leaders ve really bastardized dis country, Nigeria has not explored d big opportunities in d oil & gas. My discussions with one of the Board member very recently revealed that letters can only come after the Board approves of it. According to him, that it was agreed that letters should be issued in Dec 2011. However, at the overturn of events in the Oil sector, the exercise was temporarily suspended. Recently, management had to call up the exercise and give it another consideration. The conclusion of the exercise will be decided in the next Board meeting may be this month. I also inquired to know if anyone has been called and his response was that "nobody has been given letter".
Some few hours ago, I was with a Depot chief who happens to be our client in the organization where I work. These were his words "we are recruiting massively and have agreed to call you guys by June or latest July this year. We are seriously understaffed and need to fill in spaces. xxxxxxx(called me by my name), just hang on till then. Management has concluded and just waiting for Board's approval".
I just couldn't keep this info to myself, hence my informing the house.

Though, Mr.president is signing the 2012 Budget into law according to news reports. I strongly beliv that we shall be called b4 June/July as against what DESTINY PIKIN said, bcos TAM of refineries is around d corner nd those to be recruited must be traineed for some weeks b4 starting work. let wait for the sat's NNPC meeting, all the best.

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan will assent to the 2012 Appropriation Bill today, having apparently resolved his differences with the National Assembly on the matter which has delayed its signing since being passed by the legislature.
The signing of the N4.7 trillion budget will take place in the State House, at a ceremony expected to be witnessed by leaders of the National Assembly, ministers and other top officials of government.
The president had been reluctant to append his signature to the document, because of the changes made by the National Assembly to the original estimates he submitted to the lawmakers for their consideration and approval.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, had given reasons President Jonathan was yet to sign the budget, telling State House correspondents after a meeting of the National Economic Management Team that government was studying the details because of the changes made by the legislature.
She had revealed that the executive would meet with the leadership of the National Assembly to find a common ground on the areas where there might be differences.
Pressed to point out the specific areas of differences, the minister said an example was the crude oil benchmark eventually adopted by the lawmakers.
According to her, “obviously, the first one is the benchmark price that went from $70 to $72, which we have looked into. We are still ending up with fiscal deficit that is reasonable and under three per cent and reduced debt, that is okay.”

If the NNPC FB page is false then another rumor of waiting for the sign-off of their salary review b4 dishing out letters comes 2nd in the speculation.

This info is true,though not complete. The list is ready. HR is ready.Training arrangements are ready.But one challenge which most NNPC officials,even the top ones are not aware of is this- the pressure of politicians on Dieziani to include names of candidates that didn't even write/pass test or pass interview. But for the strong opposition of the NNPC management(directors esp),this exercise would have been finished long ago,except that you and I would be wondering which people were finally absorbed. This will certainly calm down some nerves who not only wished they partook in the Subsidy Fraud, but want to see the entire leadership of the Oil and Gas industry(excluding IOC's off course) sacked.
PIB will be presented to the Joint House anytime soon, and this will be passed into law. This is the only way credibility will be restored in the nations crawling oil and gas industry. As large a Corporation as the NLNG, NNPC there are no proper accounting of our Oil and Gas been exported. At the tail end of the supply(Barclays Bank and Lyords Bank) our oil & gas exports are monitored and paid for legitimately. And times without number we hear the GMD's of Shell, NLNG etc complain about illegitimate and illegal oil and gas activities going on and these amounts are put to some hundreds of billions of dollars annually. So the poor accounting of our oil and gas exports is not done in error but done in consent with a devilish cartel who wants to see every other Nigerian beg for what rightly belongs to him/her.
Whichever way now, Pre-PIB or Post-PIB the Nov.2010 Recruitment has been concluded. This is in our favor, because a lot of issues were been addressed while we were waiting.
We should begin to add thanksgiving into our various prayer points.......

Honestly, why should NNPC be controlled by lobbyists if is truly ready to employ us, dey should ve made it fast-fast . But now dat 2012 Budget of Economic Devpt and Job Creation had been signed by Mr. President, no cause 4 alarm we are closer to d end of the game bcos our t-fare, allowances and salaries are included in d 2012 budget.
Now dat budget is ready 4 implementation, NNPC should now call us as the recruitment funds are included in d 2012 budget, PIB should not be d issue, training should start now. d employment is moni, PIB is expansion of operations nd creating opportunities. D human resources should b d 1st thing to be on ground as PIB would be passed sonnest.
