Today is October 1st....It would have been ideal to ignore your post, but for the sake of other "genuine" forumites I need to clear the air on your perceived assertions. Well, I hope it won't come as a surprise to you if I tell you that this ongoing NNPC recruitment is 90% transparent!!! {don't ask me why I'm not going for 100%}.
There's virtually nobody in NNPC that can guarantee influencing the ongoing recruitment exercise!!! I stand to be corrected.... Yes it's true that I've made some posts on this thread on some exclusive info I received from the Towers: but that doesn't in anyway mean that those NNPC Staff can influence anything in my favour. If I may add, I'm working in one of the notable Commercial Banks in Abuja {with high proximity to the Towers} as a Marketing Officer. I managed NNPC Co-operative accounts, Take placements {Fixed Deposits} from their Finance & Accounts Department, as well as managed some of the NNPC Staff's personal accounts. The goodnews is, this current recruitment ranks amongs the best ever, in terms of transparency!!! The Petroleum Minister is bent on employing the best brains available {except for the quota system, which gives undue advantage to some candidates from certain States}. Do you know that, one of my Senior colleagues whose brother is a GM in NNPC wasn't even invited for the interview....despite all his attempts to come in thru the "back-door"???? I know others that got letters from the Presidency, National Assembly principal officers, etc that were not considered for Interview!!!!! You that pass the Aptitude Test, was invited for the Interview, who did you know to facilitate all that for you???......the answer is nobody!! You can quote me anywhere, this exercise is based purely on merit & quota system advantage!!! Engr.Ebiye, if you are an atheist, allow those that have faith to profess it!!! ...........'cos as a man thinketh in his mind, so is he..... The battle is not to the strong, nor the race to the swift.......it's God that showeth mercy.
@All, please keep the faith..... Nothing is too hard for God to do!!!

@Animotee, You just hit the nail on the head. This recruitment is purely based on merit and quota system. I laugh when pple just post lies and assumptions. I Told this house that NNPC will not call in Sept and someone just said it was not true. People just claim what they dont know and refused to know what they should have known. I say only the truth. Read my first post and you have nothing to worry about.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Opinions are free but facts remain sacred. why the nnpc gangstar p.r.o. onething we fail to note is the fact that humans and not angels conducted this exercise, so we should expect some flaws. even at the level of PCL some names were chipped in, however genuine the intention of the minister or gmd may be, there is always a smart way to beat the fence. and pls dont forget that the gmd, minister, pcl and nnpc hr have children, in-laws, cousins, kinsmen, e.t.c 90% merit is an exaggeration.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@Animontee. Dnt u knw dat anytin illegal and unacceptable is not done in d open or transparently. So u mean if d minista, politicians and gmd want 2 slot in d names of their candidates dey wil tel u. So u dnt knw d oda of tins in dis country anymore or ur interview invitatn has blinded ur sense of judgement. Guy, managin d acount of d cooperatn n some of its employees is not a guarantee dat u knw some of d secret tins dat transpire in d cooperatn. Dnt say bcos ur guy whose broda is a gm was nt invitd 4 interview therefore d exercise was 90 pacent transparent. Who is a gm compared 2 d big tym politicians. Dis exercise is nt more dan 50 pacnt transparent. Naija Na Corupt Country and corupt free activities cannot start nnpc ok. One Love!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@Animontee. Who are u trying to fool in this forum? You are talking about transparency in NNPC?? In Which sector of our national life would u see fairness, justice and transparency? I can tell u in plain language that 60% of those who will eventually get employed in NNPC this year are sons and daughters of politicians/business heavyweights and some of them are on this forum but they won't tell u. They won't say they have pple in NNPC who are working in their behalf. I participated in the interview and I got a guy who didn't but has already submited his medicals!Yes some pple who didn't take part in the interview have submitted their medicals! The truth is some people have CONFIRMED their names (plz dnt ask me how) and they are just waiting for official release of names! I wonder you are living in Abuja and u are talking about 90% transparency in one of the most corrupt public institution in Nigeria?? Only two classes of pple will get NNPC job this year: those who are favoured by God ( very little) and sons and daughters of political elites. Stop fooling urself brother!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@mbello, benoskilala n barrywhite u guys shld free Animontee naaa! Animontee's more correct dan u guys, k? He's facts but u all'r speculating. In very nnpc recruitment, nnpc'ld always come out and say "we need x gts" (whr x is a no). Dey'ld end up taking appr (x - nigerdelta quota)/37 on merit per state n d additional nigerdelta quota from nigerdelta states. However, in essence what dey actually take is about (x + x/2). X/2 is d no of highly connected intakes. So when nnpc says we'l take x, it's usually more dan 90 prcnt merit on dat x. Dat's where Animontee's claim come in to be more dan true. But dere's somefin different in dis yr's recruitmnt. Nnpc's claiming dey wont take deir usual additional x/2 but i doubt dat. Back in last '06 nnpc recr, after announcing dey'ld take 10 per state( which's abt 400 ie 370+nigerdelta quota) dey ended up taking 600. I need not tell u whr extra 200 came frm. Hehe!

My interview invitation has not blinded my sense of judgement..... If for anything, it has further buttress my conviction that God is with me in this journey! ...whatever God has started in my life, He alone is able to perfect it! The word of God says that the power of life and death is in the tongue, those that love it shall eat the fruit thereof... @Benoskilala & Barrywhite, you guys believe that u can never be employed in NNPC without the connection of a top Political big-wig........ You've already passed judgement on urselves........ Need I say more?????

u've already answered urself, "by merit". However, children of gms, mds, and gmds don't work in Nnpc instead bigger multinationals. That's to say dat if u'r a manager in Nnpc ur children cannot work in Nnpc but ur kingsmen can. U can help install d son of one oga in a multinational and he'ld help u in ur own turn. Even if as u are, u get dis job, ur sibling cannot get into Nnpc anymore unless of course u resign. K?

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@Animontee. For your info Mr. Animontee am already employed by NNPC! U knw why? Bcoz I belonged 2 one of the 2 groups I earlier mentioned. So @ dis stage of the recruitment I dnt need endless prayers/bible quotations 2get it. Thatz da fact! I believe in prayers/reciting bible; I also belive in getting da right pple involved in my affairs ok. I already told u da two classes of pple dat wil get employment in organisations like NNPC. If u dnt belong 2any of these two groups, forget it! Does that sound like judgement 2u? This is a public forum and there is limit to info that we can share.

Mr Barrywhite, Barryblack or whatever u call urself....... Do u think being already employed in NNPC makes ur myopic assertions correct? You just confessed in ur post that u entered NNPC thru the back-door; and that has really swollen ur head to think that nobody can be employed in NNPC based on merit. Who are u to instruct God on what to do, or how to do it?? The word of God says that.....but as the heavens are far above the earth, so are His ways above our understanding! You are bragging about already being a staff of NNPC, .....What makes u think I can't be employed in NNPC today, and you'll be working under me as a subordinate? I don't recite the Bible as u claim to be doing, rather I hold on to God's declaration about my life. You can't put God in a Test tube to be 100% certain of the outcome, or end-product it would produce..... Grow up man!!!!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Don't mind barywhite! Haha! He's just fooling himself to claim to have somebody dat's worked it for him. Maybe he can fool u guys, but as for me, he's waisting his tym. Ppl like us hav attended Nnpc interv thrice. '06, which nysc cert disqualified me, '08, which d outcome neva saw d light of d day, n now. What barywhite failed to understand's dat d ppl dat actually use d back door dont even have tym for job forums like dis. Nnpc takes gts every yr. Yes thru d back door, buh surely not ppl in d league of barywhite. Bary just spoke like someone from nysc discharge. He hasn't seen anyfin yet. Bary, hope u'r not one of those dat fell into d trap of dose security men claiming dat dey work in HR? Dey ate ur money, didn't dey? Sorry.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
NNPC HAVEN,T YET EMPLOYED US YET AND WE HAVE STARTED POINTING FINGERS TO EACH OTHER, WHY??? It is supprising the way we are reacting to other peoples views. May be we have 4gotten that it is a forum, and in such a place, everyone has his/her view. Pls let us learn 4rm DPR HOPEFULS THREAD.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@animotee, read you recent posts once again to see whether or not you outrightly contradicted yourself. If you don't see what I see and apologize then I shake my head in pity.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Those of u fighting each other are birds of the same feather. None of you is a bonifide staff of NNPC, dont be suprised the results of the interview might come out Απϑ none of u will be on board. This is a crucial time, instead of u to pray hard, u r busy yarning nonesense, imagine 4700 of us were called, u all knw dat NNPC is not recruiting more than 1500. This shows dat most of us bragging that NNPC should give us our appoinment letters will have to continue our previous jobs or go back and open our shops at the labour market. I urge u all to stop this nonesense, u r not yet staff of NNPC Απϑ u may or may not be among the lucky ones. A word is enough for the wise.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
The second thing is pple dont have faith in God, Must it be NNPC? Why NNPC? Its not a Must that everyone has to work in NNPC. Beside, NNPC is not the highest paying body in the World.pple shud think beyond that pls. Stop behaving like local champions abeg. And FYI, for those of us praying to join NNPC to loot public funds, am sorry to tell u dat ur NNPC is in ur room, u r not getting the job simple. And for those of us who see getting this job as a do a die affair, then its going to be a die affair for u. People should keep on praying, the few lucky ones will get and the majority unlucky ones will loose out, that's just the plain truth. It has happened before and it will continue happening. This is Nigeria!

Mr YT, what is contradictory about my post? Always make direct reference to any statement in a post, when passing ur comments. However, I'm still repeating myself, reciting the Bile as claimed by Barrywhite is not the same thing as "believing God's word" {are you confused??}. Or do u think God can be subjected to lab experiment to predict what He can do, or how He'll do it?? Pls go back and readmy post b/w the lines....Maybe I'll be expecting ur apologies instead, or u keep on shaking ur head in pity, Professor-See-All YT......

The word in line 5 of my post is Bible, not Bile....... Typographical error!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I strongly believe in the fact that d unexpected will finally be selected, not based on who they Know, but based on God's favour. I attended a test conducted by one of these banks n what i saw was so intimidating. The number of People who turned up n the personalities interested in fixing up one or two persons were very glaring. Same it was with this NNPC test, i saw some so-called gurus, who had probably finished G-MAT, answering n solving questions right under that scorching sun that was present that day n i'm so sure most of them were disappointed to discover that d test questions were majorly O'Level. King Solomon said something about an odious woman getting married, while the so called beautiful n upright woman fails to find one. Weren't u surprised by the GMD's comment about the mass failure by the so-called high flying candidates?. My point is this 'Let he who thinks he stands take heed, lest he falls' n ' let he who puts on his girdle not boast as one who takes his own off'. A word is enough for the wise, Stop casting aspersions at each other for only God knows those who'll be chosen at the end of the day.

@kafox,in one of ur post which i couldn't copy coz am using a phone,u were saying niger deltans have a different quota number from those of us that are not from the region.can u clear the air on that coz this is a federal parastal, why should a region be given a particular favour compared to others?I thought its only d private oil firm that follow dis system...

So are national scholarship scheme, all Nnpc's jointure schemes, DPR staff composition, PTDF n all parastatals dat'v got somfin to do wif 'd national cake'. Do u expect someone from lets say sokoto to have same representatives as rivers in NNPC of all places? In addition to dese there's d NDDC which oversee only nigerdelta affairs.
