Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Self expression, according to Emerson, is dominant necessity of human nature... ( I add) to some people it's an obsession. They must always say something: factual or fictitious, truthful or fallaciou, important or trivial.

Staff and staffs as plural are both correct but used differently. U use staff as plural when u refer to a particular company's workers e.g. NPDC staff while u use staffs when u refer 2 companies' workers e.g. The staffs of the companies(WRPC and PPMC) ........
Though it's good when we enlighten ourselves here as welll but u shouldn't deviate from d topic. When r the letaz coming out?

@All, please let us be focused. I beleive we all have reasons for visiting this thread. I beg u all dont let us forget our purpose. @JA and other informants, what is the latest info. JA, we are still expecting the details of ur last post, try to hit the nail on the head. @All, stop arguing abt trivial things. Let us all address the main issue that brought us all together as fellow forumites.

I think that this admonishing is d true fact and must confess thayt some people's attitude make the whole thing more frustrating than the nnpc' holding on to our letter. The dpr hopefuls are not exhibiting this kind of attitude even when they have been waiting longer and have more reason to be frustrated.let us keep sharing info and utilise the power thereof. Please be advised Quote:

Quit asking JA for info. He's just as clueless. Otherwise, continue pestering him and having your dancing shoes cleaned only to gather dust all over again. It is a vicious circle with JA and info mongers here. Guy pesters JA for info>>> JA asks guy to clean dancing shoes>>> Guy cleans dancing shoes>>> nothing happens>>>guy asks JA for info>>>JA asks guy to clean dancing shoes........and so goes the circle with some chipping of rumours and predictions(that never see the light of the day) here and there.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@ dorye- thanks for your private message. I am however constrained to respond here openly. I’m certain if you had posted that message here, members of the house much more erudite than my self would have done justice to your seeming mockery.
Why am I a hopeful, despite all the setbacks and the fact that I wasn’t even called for the interview?
Comrade in 2006, I was like you. I didn’t believe in anything that had a government appellation attached to it, especially when the epitome of corruption in Nigeria held sway as president. It was at that time that NNPC conducted and concluded recruitment in 8 months. I was directly involved in the induction and training of the lads, and I could tell you that they knew nobody in the system. In fact many of them were trying to locate their tribesmen, to mentor them. The 2006 NNPC recruitment became the benchmark, the yardstick for measuring recruitment processes in government agencies.
In 2008, I applied with great hope. I went through the general examinations, the interviews and we were called for medicals. At the venue of the medicals, many had written disengagement letters from their previous employers. I’m not talking of young fresh graduates’ o. I’m referring to matured men with families.
Just then the devil struck, the then GGM HR, Lillie ADEBGITE, went on terminal leave, and that was the end of the process. Till Date. I cried.
In 2010, I was ready again, and from the vantage position of being among the security details of the GMD, I thought it would be a walk over. Na lie. The test came with GMAT. Wetin concern GMAT with security duties? I didn’t get to the interview stage.
Between then and now, your sincerely has purchased books on GMAT and commenced lectures on GMAT and professional security certifications.
You still ask why I’m still a hopeful. Don’t you get it? If this recruitment is not concluded, what is the hope that the next one in 2012 would be concluded? Many may not even bother to apply. IT MUST BE CONCLUDED.
Thank you for listing all the numerous negative signs that seems to indicate the death of the process. I see them too. But I ignore them. I celebrate the positive side of life. God forbid that I should be a bringer of bad news. -haven’t you heard? How beautiful are the feet of them that bring good news-I want my feet to be beautiful abeg.
And who told you that the sack of the minister or GMD means the end of the process. Bros, be optimistic. See the bigger picture. If Austin and dizianne refuse to be used by God-bye bye to them-God can use any one.
While you relish in the negative, don’t let our positivism threaten you. Don’t tell me that I shouldn’t call for preparation and celebration, when after a board meeting on Friday, the next meeting on Monday morning was that of the minister, GMD, the recruiting and training consultants. It is a sign….a good one worth thanking God for.
About #4bn was earmarked for this recruitment and training of the 2010 process. The money is too big not to be discovered. People will ask questions, and very soon, the 2010 hopefuls will resume. The minister has said so publicly….that they had concluded recruitment process and would be absorbing them in the next few weeks (her exact words) how hopeless can you be? Id rather be hopeful, than be totally hopeless.
Another school of thought is even praying that the fraud is detected; they are all arrested and jailed. ………..it would teach other parastatal heads not to toy with recruitment processes again.
In 2012, im ready…GMAT? Bring it on

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@ JA and Dorye: Although I did not see or get details of the private mail from Dorye to JA, I support ur both positions. it appears here that Dorye was pessimistic while JA lives with optimistic approach. the both approaches being opposite in meaning or perhaps forces acting in opposite directions explains what exactly the NNPC process is facing. Remember that if these forces continues in their present direction, the will meet at infinity. Infinity here could move more to Dorye's direction than JA. Both if its true that N4b were earmarked for the 2010, then it may swing to JA bcos the planners will do everything possible to justify such "waste", "corruption" etc. The point being that in life, one should weigh more than one option so as to have control of the system.

@JA, I remember on the 10th of June, 2011, u started a thread with a very long epistle like this and at exactly 2 weeks later, we started receiving letas and e mails for interview. Ur post this evening is very touching and I simply had a heave of sigh. I know we shall be victorious.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@JAMFAD: its obvious we may be frustrated. Tell urself the true that JA had written a long epistle since that 10th June, 2011 before this very one. Its not the length. Many info posted on this thread may hv come from good and reliable resources, but we see them as false not knowing why it could not come true. Anyway, its results that matters more than effort. In this case nnpc appointment letter is the 'result'. who will bring that info that will really break the camels back? That person will be a hero(He) even if it was guess work or through "Baba Ijebu".

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@JA: my posts these days had been humorous; patterned after OBJ. But after reading your post I am no longer in that mode; its now 'thinking mode'. Tnx JA n keep ur hope alife.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@ JA: u are an inspiration. The Abraham Lincoln of our time, the antidote of despair. The remedy of the obsessive pessimism.
@4gkevin, N4bn for the recruitment 2010 is a matter of fact not fabrication. @ All, my source a commissioner of the Federal Character Commission told me and I quote : 'I enquired about the delay of the recruitment, their excuse was that they run into deficit of 2011 budget, unless if they come up with another excuse, they assured me it won't be delayed beyond the first quarter of this year.'
