Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

I have said it severally, jealousy , bitterness, anger and 'Dog in a Manger" phenomena are setting in.

This is happenning now in the banking industry. When Banks lay off, those laid off become very very bitter with those remaining /surviving instead of directing their energy at the system. It is human. My people say, if two hunters go into the forest, if one succeeds and the other does not, the unsucessful one will always feel that the sucessful one stole someone's trapped game/animal. Your former colleague will see and "carry face" like say they for sack two of una.

I will say to any Banker who got the offer, run and join even they give you GT. Bankers are endangered species, including myself, don't mind we wear suits and seem to be flashy. There is no future in banking.

I will urge all to keep his/her bitterness/anger/resentment to his/herself. Now the very few people like Alanu, Ela, Terraco are now scared. For 2 days, nothing has been heard from them. This thread will die naturally somehow.

For the successful ones , be modest in celebration. I have been promoted severally but never celebrated them or showed happiness openly. Not everybody due will be promoted. In fact looking at my face you would think I was not promoted . The world is a wicked place O.It pains missing out for a lengthy process like this. Don't defend your merit employment. Leave it, you and God know. It is a waste of time/energy.

QUOTE=9tstar;670160]It has gotten to the extent of people almost threatening the lives of the successful ones. Like I said, a lot of emotions are at play. People who are at their emotional moments will say almost anything. My advice remains: Continue the emotional outbursts but learn to move on as soon as possible. I sincerely feel the pains of the unsuccessful ones. I rest my case. God bless us all.[/QUOTE]

Shampoo , U r very right, the best job for me remains your own job.All these jobs we are complaining about cannot give us a yatch. A salary and allowance job cannot make you rich until you have your job. God bless , one love.

On another note lets also think of the people that made it in life and know that had they dwelt on things they could not change in their lives, they would not have gone far. The issue here is that we all think that after going through education, we must all do white collar jobs but amongst us we have budding enterpreneurs, employers of labour who would later in life look back and say "thank God I did not pick that job". but for those of us who are the josephs of this thread, He will make it beautiful in His time.

We need to come out of all these brouhaha, and appreciate the fact that for the first time in her history the NNPC has conducted a fair recruitment. They know they will have to improve, and l bet you they have noted that already. Awareness level of Nigerians is steadily on the increase and we cannot be fooled forever.
Let personal reasons and the adamic nature of man not rob us of our blessings, let us appreciate what God has done in the lives of the NEW STAFFS of the NNPC and prayerfully wait on the lord. We should also not forget how we all started on the thread, this family is really hard to do away with; l wonder why this is so.
It hovers on the present leadership of the NNPC to see to the conclusion of the recruitment process, and l think they will have no other choice than to do that.
On the second batch issue, l can rightly say that from informations l got; this batch is majorly made up of GT & EH in lnformation tech, doctors, and some other Operations support Personel. The staffs inducted now are Operations Personel, these are the informations l got. If you know about the oil and gas sector, you will understand the difference with Operations staff and Operations Support staff.
I have never stop praying and l will not stop, as much as l desire to work in the NNPC, if God says it is not the NNPC then no stress. This, to me is borne out of pride that you work for the National Oil Company which is equivalent to playing for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
There are many who used the NNPC as a spring board to other multinationals, and this will gradually phase out. The NNPC will be listed and it will compete favourably with the IOC's. This will happen in 2-3yrs time after the passage of PIB and the rebranding of NNPC to NOC.
The one that falls and stays down is the failure, let's be strong for each other and support ourselves where necessary.
Let's keep the faith and hope for the best.

Tho its quite painful not to be among d chosen ones, we should be try n be happy 4 dem n not be sore loosers. From d response of d GMD, it seems like der won't be any oda batch, except maybe d empty slots ® given out. To be truthful, I haven't rily been applying to any companies ever since I applied 4 d NNPC job but I think its time to revive my CV n start applying again. I wish we all could do same while we still keep our fingers crossed in case der is rily a 2nd batch.

sSYGYI, you have to very careful here and any other place in your choice of words. You don't know who is who. My people say, is he who does know somebody that calls him "Heh!". This is my first time of being in a forum that attracts millions of views and yet no moderator censoring offensive words.

I think you are right. Many Doctors in many fora have been complaining of not being called. Also IT people too.

I will continue saying till tomorrow that another people will be called soon by the grace of God, the number may be small but is coming out. Nobody is deceiving anyone here, if u are tired of reading our posts, u can sign out , either u have gotten your NNPC offer or not. Please , I beg u don't remove your mind from it, keep on praying. Period. That was the reason the induction was done in 1st week, it would have been next week. The time to be given the next batch will be short. All the best.
