I fink dose asking for criteria used for d selection are nt entirely wrong.It may be perhaps,they want to learn from their mistakes as is the case wif me.Personally,I am not critisizing the recruitment process rather I feel evry fing was done transparently even though there might be slight biases.In all I feel d process was @ least 80 percent fair.
D fact dt I was not contacted, and as a matter of fact if I am not contacted @ the end of the day is bcos I still have some space to cover in my academic,my professional and even my spiritual life.It will be nice if those dat made it could brief us on any special "quality" one needs to possess in oda to be successful in a recruitment of this kind should d opportunity come again.
I only hav a BSc(Environmental tech)without any form of experience.Since 2010 wen I passed out from NYSC,I hav been teaching till date.So,I feel perhaps bcos I didn't hav an MSc,no working experience, and may be I wasn't convincing enof @ d interview(even though I knw I performed well), dat is Y I hav nt been contacted till nw.
I feel dat it is possible pple frm ma state(Imo state) dt were selected had dis upper hand(MSc,working experience,God father(may nt be true) and likes) which I dnt have,hence I ve nt been called.Now d questoion is wat do I do so dat I won't be caght in this web again?
Dat is whr d issue of criterion comes to play.so to those dat re still expectant,let's chill and pray,again let's politely seek info from dose successful one at d tower dat may not only hlp us nw bt in future recruitment.let's stop critisizing the process and seek ways of gettin in dier if nt nw,in d near future and I bilv dose @ the tower can do justice to dat.please any body dat was should please tell us(or me) his or her secret.I am ready to learn from successful ones.

Hope seems to be lost in this forum! We are not given the power to know tomorrow by our creator, else some of us would have been always rejoicing for most of the things that happened to us today. Uche , if you are from Imo state , Abia, Ekiti, Ondo, Entire S/East minus Ebonyi and S/west. And Federal xter is used, then you will have to up your game very very high to stand a chance. That is why I say favour, it does not mean the people that made it are not very good. Let me give you example, if they say we want 20 GTs from Imo. And 22 people scored between 81-100. They will pick the first 20, the 21st person might have scored 84%. Where as , one my the the only GT in say Zamfara, what you need just pass mark say 40. A GED Finance in NNPC was appointed by FC, they wanted anybody from south south who is at the level of bank ED or MD and it was only one person - Stanley Lawson and he took it. There are set criteria. NCC just recruited recently and nobdoy had about it. Imo, Mbaise people too go school and are very very intellectually gifted. I must tell you, not only Mbaise, Orlu, Ideato, Owerri. Have you seen that the cut off points for Imo Indigenes in Universities is always 1 point below the national merit. Eg if UNN medcine is 280 (National merit), Imo (catchment) will be 278,279, have you asked why? Competition, meanwhile Ebonyi will be 240. My brother it is God's favour O. God is my witness,based on my experience,this exercise was(is) largely free and fair,though its hard to have it 100% free and fair anywhere in the world like some people have said.I DO NOT KNOW ANYBODY ANYWHERE THAT COULD HAVE HELPED ME AT ALL.I HAD A FIRST CLASS IN ELECTRICAL ENGR,AND A MASTERS.11 YEARS EXPERIENCE,OF WHICH 6YRS WAS IN THE BANK. APART FROM BEING REASONABLY OK DURING THE INTERVIEW,I REALIZED I HAD FAVOUR WITH THE PANELISTS,AND NOT BECAUSE I GAVE THEM ANYTHING,OR THAT I KNOW ANY OF THEM. IT WAS SO CLEAR THAT THEY JUST WANTED ME IN ANYHOW! BUT I TRUSTED GOD FROM THE BEGINNING.I WAS FASTING AND PRAYING,MY FRIENDS WERE PRAYING,MY PASTORS WERE PRAYING,MY BELOVED WIFE WAS PRAYING. TRULY,FOR ME,NNPC IS ONLY A SEED TO FAST TRACK MY IDEAS. ONE VIABLE IDEA CAN GIVE YOU SO MUCH TO BUY NNPC. THINK OF FACEBOOK! 5 YEARS ON MY OWN HAVE BEEN GREAT AND TOUGH BUT ITS PAYING OFF WONDERFULLY! TURNING DOWN 4 BANK OFFERS WHEN YOUR FAMILY IS HUNGRY IS NOT EASY,UNLESS YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO AND WHO IS BEHIND YOU. WE CAN ALL START FROM SOMEWHERE.
