The urgency to throw her financial weight behind her boss in the heat of the presidential campaign came beckoning,the only vending machine that could spit money without anybody raising an eyebrow is the 2010 NNPC recruitment. the financial returns outweighed the desire to mop up unemployment statistics.

Some vested interest had already hijacked the recruitment, they do not only have vested interest, they are also powerful as well, they have sworn that it will rain thunder and brimstone should she fail to complete the recruitment, but these are selfish interest who had promised their kinsmen and constituency mate of some determinable number of slot. the basic saving grace is the tacit disapproval of my president on taking the youth for a ride because he was impressed with their turn out.

Details of the process. 1. originally, the minister had no genuine intention to recruit, she only wanted to polish the candidacy appeal of mr presiedent in the just concluded april presidential election, she used the recruitment as a political ploy to canvass electoral support, most people who were shortlisted for the aptitude test voted in favour of the jonathan ticket which is the only way to keep the minister in office and consequently consummate the recruitment.

Can someone help me tell this user that this's, without any doubt, the most fustrated post i have ever seen on this ever growing thread.

4.The minister had a change of heart but she is not so keen on a hurried process, she decided to score a plus 1 for her boss to whom she has shown absolute loyalty, with this she felt the procees should be 100% merit driven, but alas too many skeleton are in the cupboard , she could not disagree neither could she agree to bow to the demands of those who knows all the skeleton in her cupboard. the tug of war for supremacy battle began, after a protracted tuzzle a compromise was reached.

She wasnt satisfied with 60 to 40 formula, then she opted for the overmassive option which would not alter the formula but still increase the number of candidates to be employed on merit, she is not so keen on a fasttracked process but she has given her word that the process would definately be completed, she further said barring any unforeseen circumstance she would prefer a post PIB release of successful applicants. but for a now a list is on ground but is still open to amendement and panel beating.

seunlove, u only wrote ur personal views bcos several times we had confirmed from this forum nd my own source in NNPC dat d list of successful candidates is ready; even accessible by senior staff of the corporation.So, ur words are fallacy. Though, this is govt. issue nd the way nigerian govt. does things are upside-down. My own option is dat d recruitment was targeted on PIB which will soon be passed, read PIB draft well.
