What is the probability that the delay experienced in this NNPC so far will not have turned many names up-side-down? Who could have been victimized and favored following this delay. There is this legal saying that, "Justice delayed is justice denied" And will the release of names end this thread? Can ppl who will not make the list continue to push on? perhaps feel unjustly treated. These questions are coming up bcos, the long awaited hr is nearer. Be as it may, tentatively about 1000 out of the 4000 ppl and counting may be luckily chosen. 'The rest can wait' u will say if u were one of the lucky ones. What about their age since age matters some much in NNPC recruitment. Those who were 28 yr by 2010 will be now 30yr. And may not match for GT or OP. Many do not hv experience to go for EH. There is need to continuously pray with hard work so that the divine glory of God will crown our effort. Let it be the wish of God that ur name is among the going to be successful. I know that there are some ppl who because of their names and involvement, this exercise will not only be concluded but with their names boldly written. And some ppl will later wonder that in mist of all the god father and political connections, the were still disconnected from the list. Those in the covenant of the most high God should relax and rejoice for onto them, there is breakthrough. God has shown you mercy and forgiveness. So, how many are willing to go for thanksgiving this weekend awaiting the list next wk. Shout onto the lord, "How great is the lord! He is pleased with the success of his servant". And as many that keep faith with God Almighty, It shall be well with their souls.
I know three people who have just been been absorbed into some federal parastals: 1. Institute of Marine and Oceanography 2. F.R.I.N. 3. N.A.C.A. These are indications that these federal parastatals are absorbing people. I believe N.N.P.C. will not be an exception. Going by the fact that this recruitment was included in the budget, I doubt if anything will happen until the budget has been passed. Let's keep hope alive.

Well,.. what ever information some of u might have. Good news is u will soon get ur letters. Bad news is less than 20% of people enterviewed were shortlisted. Worse hit are those from states that produced a lot of candidates for the interview.A uniform number of candidates were taken from across all the states and FCT.
And as for Entry level training: For Engineers and Scientists (Degree holders) You'll have to go through an 8 months intensive training programme (FSTPE) in Warri.
For Operators/Technicians it is for 6months.
During the programme you will be assessed on weekly basis.After the training period if ur average score is 60% and above you will then be posted to any of our Subsidiaries for On-the-Job Training (OJT) for another 1year. However if U don't score up to 60% say bye-bye to NNPC!.
Non-technical people ( F& A, HR, Public Admin, Law etc)will be posted straight to subsidiaries for on-the job training.
NNPC is short-staffed we need u guys. Good luck.
@ Papa cc....Hmmm... very useful/apt information-thanks. pardon our misgiving at the time(whomever the 'culprit' is). trust you can unerstand the anxiety that has been generated as a result of this exercise.
one question though - 20% shortlisted- would this be of the experiencced, GT of a combination?

came across this on the naira site.comparing 20% of 4000 n the number quoted below,..they r kinda close..if the info below is true...what of EH........is the 20% for gt and operators only?

A friend told me that 604 candidates are shortlisted. And that the list have been sent to the federal character commission for approval. He said once approved, the succesful candidates will be served their appointment letters.
Those that are able, should kindly verify this.
Infact, about 12% of people interviewed were taken. Right now I can't verify whether it's only GT/OP or if it includes EH 'cos everything is clouded in secrecy.Even the percentage I gave here is based on speculations. This implies that majority of the hopefuls will have their hopes dashed. But I must state here categorically that the recruitment was transparent. If you don't make this one another will soon be roled out. I for one wrote the NNPC test twice. Congrats in advance to those who made the final list.
