If they are still to finalize on the list, one wonders how long they would then take to print and issue award letters cos without the letter, there is no other way to prove it to UKBA. And not everyone has a January option as some courses start only in September. So why cause students to lose out this year and defer till next year, when they would have actually been rounding up their Masters next year.

Oh Nigerians of little faith!! I just read through the last two pages again and couldn't help but noticed how the "see you at the induction ceremony","my name is the list by faith" and "I'm practicing my victory (azonto et etighi) dance steps" talk disappeared abruptly. There are only two outcomes in situations like this and if you have prepared your mind that the decision could go either way, it would save you from any form of heartache.
Just to let the house know that a friend of mine also got thesame text message last week Thursday to come for his award letter.

Anyway, my very close friend just confirmed receiving NDDC text message. So Jaygal is right. He received his on Friday and hasn't gone yet for the award letter. So guys, am sure more text will come tomorrow. However, its very unfair for NDDC not to upload the list after their professed transparency on the exercise.
This Issue has made me go lookin' for people that are connected to NDDC in my state. I finally got a number of an SA workin' with smbody that is representin' NDDC in my state. #AsaP#. The guy said he has never heard of any text message being sent out. I ponder why it's only new people here that are tellin' us they'v got txt message. So if sombody got a message he/she shd be bold enof to tell us how they are highly connectd to NDDC personnel and we won't voice it out as we al know we are in 9ja. It wld pay us well to reasn that they are first class(long leg) materials for this s'ship and we the 2nd class(prayer and supplication) will get ours from 2moro. #Don't use our heart to play ping ponk#. So I went to NDDC office today! (I know its a public holiday) but I wasnt planning on seeing any ordinary staff, I went to see the most powerful man in NDDC, the GM! (Gate Man); afterall he is the one that supposedly allowed people in on showing a text msg. It is in times like this that the real application of philosophy and logic comes in to play. After a little bit of thinking I have come up with 2 plausible route of decisions NDDC would have taken in order to notify candidates of their success in the 2012 Foreign scholarship.
The first route is an sms to every scholar and then they will be asked to pick up their sponsorship letter in a week's time at the induction. That way NDDC will have alot of time to generate everyone's letter. Having said this, it is important to point out that this method will only work if there is enough time before resumption for scholars to be around for any induction.
Where there isn't alot of time e.g the situation we have now where students are running out of time for visa and resumption, NDDC may decide to take a plan B which is SMS people as their letters become ready for their pick up.
Alot of people may wonder why not just sms all winners then you can take time to prepare their letter for pickup? To answer this question you must understand that if NDDC should sms all winners now, without their letters being ready for pick up, lots of scholars will choose to rather sleep in front of the gate and wait for their letter than go and come back. NDDC may have envisaged this possibility and in a bid to avoid creating a public menace have chosen to sms scholars only when their letters become ready for pick up.
If the latter is true we should expect more sms in circulation as more letters are generated for the respective scholars. This is only a product of my thinking and in no way represents what NDDC may be doing. All the same among all possibilities the fore mentioned points sound very plausible.
