Just got to their office today, only to be told to come back on Monday. I felt bad for the transport spent. Also the secretary said we should get account details from the school as money will be paid directly to the School and not to our Nigerian bank account so as to check fraudulent act. he advice those that their school has started already and cannot make it, to defer their admission to Jan, April or even September but should still get the university account details.

do not worry about how the money will be paid, what is most important is the scholarship award letter...that letter is as good as cash in the UK especially when it is emanating from a federal government institution like NDDC...

By GOD'S grace and favour, I have studied in the UK before. If you have any questions or worries please feel free to ask same...

but I have a candid advise for my fellow NDDC scholars. It is GOD alone that has awarded you this scholarship and HE now enjoins us to go brighten our corners .i.e. declare, thus saith the LORD...declare, as it is written...declare, verily verily I say unto you...and testify of HIS goodness, mercies, grace and faithfullness...

an MSc or PhD from the UK, US or Canada is not the end of life, we have a lot of MSc and PhD graduates doing pitable/menial jobs in the UK. There were about 30 PTDF scholars in my school and uptill now only 30% of them have gotten professional jobs even though 96% of them made distinctions...

let me tell you the sincere truth as a brother, friend and fellow NDDC scholar...only GOD can sustain one and the moment you cutoff from HIM (YOUR SOURCE) things will turn sour especially in a structured society like the UK where people are driven and consumed by bills...bills...bills...instead of been driven, sustained and blessed by GOD...GOD...GOD...

the bestway to thrive successfully overseas is to labour in the vineyard of the LORD like Joseph and Daniel who remained steadfast and prospered in strange lands...there are a lot of true churches in the UK, Redeem (RCCG), Deeper Life, Baptist, Jehovahs Witnesses amongst other true churches of the LIVING GOD...

I have decided to say all this so that we are not caught up labouring in the cold cold cold for bills bills bills instead I want the favour of the LORD to make u glow in darkness, prosper in the strange land and empower you to declare aloud that there is a lifting up even when men (others) will be wallowing and saying there is a casting down...

The faith never dies BUT is there any clues as to what will happen to the remaining slots?

Well...the names better come out fast because theres a lot of reason to petition nddc for some of the names published...details will be revealed soon.

Yesterday in the Vanguard, 130 scholars... Today in the Guardian... 131 scholars... Is this the will of God? Some of us risked our lives, time, means of livelihood to meet that interview set under a ridiculously short notice. We went to hell and back to meet all the requirements. Waited patiently for over a month... Only to get this!
Personally, when this dragged on longer than the promised one week, I knew it had become shady and decided to move on with my life. For those of you who applied, were interviewed and made it, good luck! For those who did not apply and were not interviewed but have used one form of connection or the other to deprive deserving scholars, good luck to you too. But for all the pastors in the house, the fact that you were successful shouldn't get you deluded. God washed His hands off this process a long time ago! Leave Him out of this fiasco. Or can someone please tell me where the balance of over 60 scholars are It's high time we told ourselves the truth. Favouritism, tribalism, connections... These are the reasons mediocrity remains enthroned in this nation and why we remain so backward and undeveloped. Please those who used connections to get the scholarship, pray that those connections are still around when you return so that they can give you jobs because a radical wind is blowing in this country and all scums of the earth will be blown away with it!
