a friend of mine who is also a nddc Scholar just call me this afternoon tell me he got a text from NDDC to send his account number, that the want to start paying the money to the schools. has any other person gotten a text message from NDDC.
This my guy had summitted his bank details when he collected the award letter ???
Has any1 applied for visa?
Please house has any 1 heard anything on when the second list will come out

the list was billed to be out by end of this month but will now drag till mid January...
my advise is for nijahotjobs hopefuls to remain hopeful but with total faith...the list is the list...we shall understand the meaning of the list soon...

as regards the text message that some NDDC scholars got to reconfirm their details and school account numbers, pls note that the message is not a scam and everyone including those that didn't receive the message are advised to do so. For the benefit of those that didn't receive the message, find it herebelow:
" dear students, kindly reconfirm the following information urgently to enable us remit your fees. 1. Your full name and name of university 2. Student id/ref number from the university 3. The amount of your tuition fees 4. Degree in view Msc or Phd 5.Specializations 6. payment reference number and the school account details. Thanks Engr osmond Adiele" send the message to 08165178229. A friend that went to their office confirmed the information and that you don't have to travel down to submit the info required.

@prince et al and house, could someone actually confirm or verify these claims cos it is dangerous sending such vital info to unknown person so as to avoid identity theft. Pls i need a NDDC scholar in the house to confirm these directive.Quote:

tuition fees have been paid but it will take between 5-7 working days before it hits your institution's account...but do well to notify them of the payment...
maintenance funds will only be paid into our foreign bank accounts...for those of us who are UK bound, you will need a letter from your institution before you can open a bank account...once you are armed with that letter you are sure to have a UK bank account maximum 7days...

@engineerharry, u cld call MR. OSMOND on 08165178229. The last time i called him, he sid the MD hd signed the papers and it hd been sent to finance dept for disbursment of fund. Pls update the house of any new development after calling him. Cheers.

@fynlivia, what particular help u can render cos some of us won't be going till next year but ur info can be of help when applying for visa.
For those that are leaving jan did u get any letter from NDDC to facilitate ur visa application or u only tendered ur scholarship letter.

Pls what is happening as per this scholarship. We scholars are in blackout ooo. Prince et al, any info as per payment of tuition fees. My school is really disturbing me oooo cos i don resume since October.... Anyone knows anybody ic ould call at NDDC for further verification. Plsssssssssssss.

Sent a message to one of the staff involved in the payment processing yesterday morning requesting the status of the payments.
Got this reply "Payment Vouchers are with audit dept now and monies should go out next week..."
I guess this means the vouchers are undergoing a final audit before the transfers are carried out!

I just got this message from NDDC:
"Scholarship beneficiaries requestn 4 asst 4 UK visa should fill visa form online. Bring a copy of it and get prepared 2 go 2 Abuja 4 submission on tuesday wit all relevant and required required document as requested by d embassy. Time - 7am, Venue - NDDC HQ For further enquiries on d visa application,call 08034741470 - Chima Ezinwoke.Pls kindly inform other beneficiaries who might not get our text message."
At least, we can be rest assured that the exercise is still on and not another exercise in futility. I called the number to ask a few questions and was told that the assistance is only for those who are leaving in jan/feb. If you already deferred till sept, you'll have to wait. All the best guys, Godspeed!

Called the NDDC contact yesterday, He said those of us that deferred to Sept, 2011 should not bother coming on tuesday, we'll have to wait and that a second SMS will be sent out informing us on what to do.
I also asked concerning the payment of the fees.
He said they were PAID yesterday, 28th January!
Thank God for HIS faithfulness, cos it appears God has changed their stance regarding handling our VISA process and has also caused them to FINALLY remit the School fees!

I just got confirm info from one of d scholars gouing jan/febru that NDDC paid for d visa application and flight ticket from PH to Abuja where d visa application processing went on as a follow up to d earlier text message received.

@house, visa for the jan/feb shd be ready in 3days according to them, and we hear that the funds were paid in to a bank in the UK to be transfered to each scholars school by the bank but little delay due to efccala wah
