Hello House, pls has any Elect./Elect. GT been interviewed? Pls share your experience. Thanks.
Weldone guys.
the interview, especially for GT's is really an interesting one. u just have to ensure that u can thoroughly explain ur
1) CV and urself
2) Wot u do now(currently working or part-timing ) and Y u want to leave that place
3) NNPC and wot they do.
These were how my interview went. Al d best pals and God has seen us through. Meet u guys at the NNPC towers very soon as colleagues.
Yea that how it goes basicallly, you've said it all:
1) Know ur CV and urself
2) Wat u do now(currently working or part-timing ) and Y u want to leave that place
3) NNPC and wot they do.
All has already been said. Master everything in ur CV, about NNPC, what u can offer & finally some off range questions that will emanate from your response. Take note, you have to be careful with the way you answer there questions. I wish you guys still awaiting yours success, as for me, i have had mine the way God has destined it to be and by His grace also am expecting my job offer letter soon.
Good evening house thank you all for this marvelous contribution.

God has already taken control.
It is well.
Am out alive. I was asked what is the latest news in the petroleum industry. An indirect questn about pib
Hmmm... hmmm... WORD! WORD!! WORD!!! dat is d son of d prophet speaking.
had mine on 18th. asked me the usual stuff like what d u know abt nnpc, what skills do u have that could benefit the company, my undergrad project, what does nnpc do to benefit common man on the street. i guess they have a pool of questions from whicch they pick at random. Guys should pay more attention to what is being discussed here cause i think its all repetitions. all questions they asked me were very much predictable and i answered as best as i could. the only one i suspect i did not convice them was when they asked what nnpc does to benefit poor man on the street. I started telling them abt the revenue generated and how it is used to better the life of common but they cut me short telling me that is not what they mean. As I opened my mouth to tell them the right answer someone blurted out the answer that nnpc refines crude oil which common man uses as a source of fuel. I seethed inwardly for that is just abt what i was going to say. Lastly they asked if i have any question and i said i have a couple. one is whether i could be able to work on weekend. they asked for clarification ans i simply told them that i hate idleness and left to me saturday should be made a working day. that amused them but i was straight faced and on realising that i was not kidding they said something abt fatigue and its negetive effects but that in some cases i could be mandated to work even on weekends. i was about to ask another question when they told me that time is not on their side and thanked me for coming...........all in all i think i did pretty well but i would put my chances at a 50/50. I was somewhat disappointed that they asked me very trivial questions and absolutely nothing from my area of specialisation.
Thanks All! I believe we all would get there if we work and pray for it.
Hello friends, pls has anyone from anambra,elect/elect engrn been interviewed so far? If so,when was it? Pls I Jst wanna know, thanx.
...JESUS REIGNS
it was a nice experience, i had mine on the 21st of july.it was an interview indeed.we all laughed at the end of it all. What God has perfected in our lives will remain perfect in Jesus name.
like His word says in psalms 119:89 "for ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven".
it is well NHJers, it is certainly well.
My Interview was a interesting and awesome experience. Was welcomed with a joke about my height, then the Panelist introduced themselves... I was so thrilled to have the top guns of NNPC carefully introducing themselves to me as if i was the new Minister of Petroleum. I was then asked what was unique about me, What i thot about the clamour for NYSC to be scrapped, What my Final year Project was about, which appliance utilized the 2nd law of Thermodynamics ( I studied Mech Engr), and other questions related to my responses. Why i wanted the job instead of a Bank job cos i had a work experience in a BDC... Over all it was cool, friendly and exciting. Thanks to this house for all ur help and i hope my testimony helps some other folks who havent had there interview.
I asked when was the likely time the job wld start and was to the recruitment process wld be thru by mid August and they wld get back to us latest by end of September. Wish U all the best... Cheers
Hmm!
I whole-heartedly Thank God for this forum, this thread and all commtributors...
U have all arranged my confidence,
Thanks
God Bless u all and may God Reward us all Abundantly
I had my interview on moday 25th it was just like every other person have said. it is well in jesus name we will meet at the training school.
could someone shed more light on the powerpoint presentation, ie for experienced hands?....were you given enough time to explain all that is in the slide?..and what kind of questions were u asked on the presentation?
Guys, I have done mine and the major thing about the interview is FAITH IN GOD. The questions are basically what members have been sharing on the forum which are relatively easy. This is the time to be calm and cast all your cares to the LORD. Relax and watch out for the result. I did just that, HE has never failed me and HE will never.
Forumites, Please I missed my NNPC Interview because the invitation letter arrived late. Could anyone provide me with a phone number that I could reach NNPC HR or the Interview organisers so that I can reschedule my Interview. I will be grateful for your response.
WE will all meet at the TOP in Jesus name. Mine is August 2nd. God is in control.

I had mine on Monday July 25 as an EH . I was in panel 5. we were 4 in my group. i don't know what that grouping is for, whether is one person they are going to take from a group or whether the grouping is for their convenience, i dont know. but i know that all of us in the group were interviewed for the same thing. They were five interviewers in my panel.
After the the accreditation at the theatre on the 1st floor, somebody came down to asked us to go up to the 9th floor. They collected our presentation and our CVs (7 copies). I was the 3rd to go in. The first guy spent 28 minutes , the 2nd 30 minutes and i spent 30 minutes ( i timed the guys before me and the 4th guy outside timed me) . The presentation was for 15 minutes , after that they asked me about five questions, 2 from my presentation, 2 from cv (i.e what i do on my job presently and in the past), one question was on what i know about NNPC (thanks to hints from oseri).
Thank you all that have shared and those still waiting, i hope my experience will help you.
Hello House, just wondering which is required for the interview, a CV or a resume. The invitation letter said resume but a resume does not include personal details such as state of origin among other information which may be important. please kindly reply
hi house, any interviewed graduate trainee biochemist, microbiologist, zoologist in the house?Ur responses are much awaited, thanks.
ChuksOnyems , this no called me to tell me that NNPC is expecting me now for my interview 08034150884. it belongs to the interviewers. All the best.
I took a resume 2 d interview
(as I like 2 obey instructions 2 d letter) & d interviewers remarked it was straight to d point. I had 2 refer them 2 d iv which specifically asked 4 a resume and went ahead 2 explain d difference between d two citing from d one they had. Obviously the people who put it just did so probably 'cos it sounds more sophisticated than cv. So my candid advice is to go with a comprehensive cv which u hv mastered everything on it
Guy u 2 good o! O shey,success is certain.
I did mine yesterday,it was really great, after telling them about my self then they ask me to explain my final year project for them, then another man ask me to tell them how this project will benefit NNPC, then i was asked which NNPC subsidiary is present in my state? I responded then he ask me again what is the main responsibility of that subsidiary i also answered that, then one of the panel member throws one unexpected question to me that i couldlnt answer ''which crude oil product is petroleum" actually that question jingles me i couldnt answer that one, finally the board chairman ask me to tell him the name of UN secretary general i responded. That is how it went it was really a very freindly interactive session. Thanks to all NHJ members that shared their experience on this thread n May Almighty Allah favour us all.meet there by January 2012 cheers.
I forgot not to mention my discpline. I read ELect/Elect Engineering. Thanks
