Re: msc oil and gas engr or msc control systems and instrumentation
i think u shud go for instrumentation and control cuz everything na about oil company is control
Re: msc oil and gas engr or msc control systems and instrumentation
MSC in Control can 1. give u a job in almost all industries apart frm d oil companies. 2. If u more interested in academics, u cn get a good lecturing job with control. 3. Oil n Gas Msc is very restrictive, u can't start up anytin on ur own as in a firm.

Re: msc oil and gas engr or msc control systems and instrumentation
Thanks guys,
I don't know how true but a practicing proffesssional told me school pedigree is important and that schools like huddersfield don't measure up.
He said its better to take up oil n gas or wait till sept 4 better school n study control.
What do u think.
I need to make a decision this week.
Thanks for your help
Re: msc oil and gas engr or msc control systems and instrumentation
guy i disagree with that ur practicing professional..huddersfield isn't bad atall, plus if u are taking the oil and gas at aberdeen only becos of the skul's name, the truth is u ld still be limited like the other guys have noted, aberdeen or no aberdeen..i m currently on an M.Eng chem eng'g program in naija here, and guy trust me when i say its Control all the way! my own opinion sha

Re: msc oil and gas engr or msc control systems and instrumentation
My broda, don't bother coming here to waste your hard earned money or even if it's scholarship!!! Make contact with Nigerians in those schools of your choice and they will provide you with adequate information. What all these schools are doing now is "Packing"!! Don't be surprise that all those so called "big name" MODULES are nothing but just a scam of deceiving Nigerians of coming over here for something they can't offer. The bottom line is make up your mind on what you intend studying for your master and make research on which school has the capacity to deliver. Wishing you all the best. cheers
Re: msc oil and gas engr or msc control systems and instrumentation
