I interviewed with MOBIL on the 4th of June for the position of a Trainee geoscientist. It's nolonger the In-tray exercise. It's all about getting to know you stuff and technical question from your field/discipline/area of specialisation. while you answer questions from the technical aspect, more questions emerge from what you say.Mind you there's is an expert in your field and dont elaborate on what you are not sure of. On the issue of getting to know you stuff, prepare for questions like ; Your best/worst course in school; why you studied the course you read; greatest achievements and greatest challenge you ever had; short/long term goal;why you want to work for MOBIL and stuffs like that. Above all, you have to exude confidence and let poise be your watchword!

The interview went well, only that the interviewer noted down the points he felt he needed from all the jargons I was saying...lol.

Just as Georgejob rightly said, it was an interactive oral interview based on what he listed above and also a logical question followed...

I only hope and pray for the best...

@msoft, Tallchic GerogeJob et al; good to hear it all went well, I wish U guys the very best and I pray U don't have to wait as long as those of us who did the trainee engrg test and interviews...it's not funny at all to have to wait this long, I pray you guys start real quick and remember God alone can bring it to pass, don't keep Him out of the process, let God take centre stage

@adembamidele, I wrote my test on the 15th of May 2010.

@tall chic, don't worry behind all the jargons they will pick the important things u mustve said. I did my interview early this year and trust me I too thought I talked jargons but passed that stage and thru d last stage.
@impish, abeg this ur source, does he know what is holding all the recruitment cos those of us that are participating in the recruitment process for IT analyst since last year havnt really gotten any information, except an email we got two weeks ago about them being sorry for d delay and will get back to us for final feedback. And its two weeks since then..hmmpph.God is with us all.

hmmm.....its not a source like that oh, i just called the no in the last email they sent us which was in april :P n i spoke with him (tosin). Evidently, its the same email u got two weeks ago that we got in april. Wen I called Tosin 2 weeks ago, he just apologised n said that latest by last week we wud get our final feedback but nothing yet.

We wrote our test in april or may last year so its been well over a year now. Im guessing a few more weeks wont rly make a difference

...God dey, we'll keep waiting, having waited this long (Over a yr), a few weeks would not hurt, one thing I know is that Mobil new hires usually start work in March or November, these two months are the two resumption months for the company...since we have missed the March timeline, God help us to come in this November, but we have to start up processes like medicals et al before that time.

...God help us, He who has led us this far is faithful to complete what He alone has started in our lives, I wish U guys the very best, to meet you in person in November.
