Job Description
An engineering and human resource company which was incorporated on the 17 day of December, 1992, with the objective of building, nurturing, and developing a unique and efficient establishment, professional, reputable and reliable in whichever area of service it vows capacity and competence.
These areas include manpower supply and support services, oilfield services, water supply schemes or projects, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering consultancy and construction services, equipment leasing, haulage and transportation services as well as supply of construction materials and equipment such as pumps, valves, meters, pipes and fittings, fire fighting and personal protective equipment and product.

Job Summary:
To provide material management technical expertise to the material control and management teams to ensure that materials are effectively managed from point of receipt to point of issue to in line with statutory provisions and Shell Group HSSE & SP Control Framework. Additionally to provide functional expertise in materials (scrap, surplus, obsolete/moribund) management, including longer term strategies and plans to optimize materials storage facilities in line with changing project needs.

Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate the appropriate resources are available for the receiving and issuing of all project materials.
Manage the process for identifying surpluses, excesses and redundant materials, plant and equipment for disposal in line with company procedures for write off.
Liaise closely with Procurement Teams and Project engineers to encourage to ensure seamsless flow of materials
Identify and evaluate process hazards, develop hazardous area classification, and contribute to the development of HEMP documentation.
Develop and implement materials handlings standards and processes and ensure compliance with these within the SSAGS+ project.
Compile, maintain and issue timely, accurate and concise reports and records of complete SSAGS+ material inventory
Manage HSE in line with HSE business plan to ensure compliance, prevent LTI and damages to equipment and environment

Qualifications and Requirements:
HND or University graduate preferably in a technical discipline with a minimum of 8 years experience of which at least 5 years are in managing high volume, high value engineering related inventory.
Familiarity with SHELL materials management process is an advantage.
Should be self-motivated and a proven achiever.
Mastery with MS-Excel, Access and related software
Good inter-personal skills and ability to pay attention to details and records.
Good communications skills (i.e. report writing and presentation) are essential.
Proven ability to deliver in a challenging environment.
