JOB DESCRIPTION: The incumbent will be required to plan, direct, and supervise all maintenance activities associated with the day – to day running of the Production Plant. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS · Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent. · Good written and oral communication skills in English. · Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with and supervise a multi-discipline team. · Ability to work in a multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs. EXPERIENCE · Minimum 12 years maintenance experience Minimum 3 year’s managerial level experience will be an advantage. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Ensures that department employees, facilities and equipment meet all company, national and local policies and regulations. · Manages the cost of leaded operation through detailed budget planning and control. Reviews it throughout the year and submits required monthly rolling estimates. · Optimizes working time, controls current costs of plant operation and follows changes in production requirements to take right action towards cost minimization · Works out plans and coordinates manufacturing processes and administration of plant operation to ensure quality of products meets specifications · Resolves technical, organizational and personal problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. - Monitors maintenance schedules to ensure adequate preventive maintenance is conducted.
· Initiate and coordinate work of multifunctional process improvement teams to eliminate waste and improve quality - Recommends capital expenditure projects necessary to fulfill planned objectives. Facilitates and actively participates during new projects implementation.
· Represents company to local authorities in matters related to standard plant operation · Communicates department objectives and results to employees. · Establishes and updates job descriptions for all positions within the department. Recommends selection of employees based on job requirements. · Constantly reviews designs, production and quality assurance methods within own company and subcontractors’ workplace to optimize throughput of 100% the right product. · Make recommendations on replacement, addition, or deletion of plant assets, when needed and/or don’t meet quality and safety standards. · Establish Operations Department budget. · Approves operational spending according to the Purchase Approval Authority · Take appropriate action to respond to department anomalies · Recognize team members value differences to obtain optimum performance from the group · Other duties or responsibilities specified by the superior, resulting from the actual and specific requirements of the job in a given location. - Takes responsibility for employees’ health and safety during working hours and reduces work risk through adherence to health and safety requirements and continues risk assessment and hazards elimination.
